Sometimes I remember how baby-faced Wild is here and just yell because HE LOOKS SO YOUNG
This is why the power bill keeps going up. They spend billions on this and how do they pay for it? By passing the cost on to the consumer. Which would be fine if they didn't come up with something new every few years.
I haven’t stopped laughing at this
did you guys know that octoroks appear in every zelda title except Twilight Princess
Now that pumpkin spice is back in season, and so are colds and flus, let's talk about some of the other common Autumn spices - cinnamon, clove, and ginger.
Cinnamon is known to be antispasmodic as well as antibacterial. Some people do take cinnamon in capsule form as an herbal supplement to help control blood sugar.
Clove is high in antioxidants, may alleviate tooth pain, and also may help support healthy blood sugar levels.
Ginger has gained popularity for it's anti inflammatory properties as of late for arthritis and other ailments. It's also a common anti nausea fighter and stomach settler. Also useful for easing menstrual cramps!
And why not stir all that goodness into a warm cup of tea on a chilly autumn day?
He's a short little thing, who glows and waves around a little sword. Sometimes he has a ship, sometimes he doesn't.
The kid keeps saying that it only fits that Bludhaven be his haunt, because it has "blud" in it and his name is "Youngblood".
Also he has declared Nightwing to be his nemesis.
Nightwing loves it; he gets to have at least one day a week that's just goofing off with a kid who can't be hurt by any of his regular villains. Their "fights" are more like play dates, if he's being honest, and Youngblood is a good kid.
Sometimes he's swinging from the sails of the kids ghost ship, dodging "ecto blasts", other times he's "teaming up" with Youngblood and "sword fights" another spectral Hero, called Phantom.
Generally, they all have a good time.
Until one day, he stumbles across some men in white suits actually managing to hurt the ghost child.
That day, the GIW learns that the most violent Robin wasn't the second one, but the first.
Biodiversity and native plants survive like God intended!
I know that I'm passionate about a super niche subject here but commissioner of public lands is up for election here in WA and just note that all the candidates want to stop wildfires but the only one who explicitly mentions biodiversity in her statement is Jaime H. Beutler.
Just a reminder as well that "working forest" is a code for "lumber farm" (on public lands) which is also a monoculture and burns like a match
Warriors headcanon: He's the hero before Wild. He's the Hero from 10,000 years ago. He fought the first Calamity years after his first adventure, won, and saved Hyrule. Except at the time of Linked Universe, he hasn't yet fought the Calamity. He does not know that Wild's past is his future.
Wild headcanon: He's dreading meeting the hero from the first calamity, because what would they ever think of him if they knew he failed? He's positive the Hero of 10,000 Years Ago would hate him. He's convinced they would see him as a failure. He does not know the Hero of 10,000 Years ago is his brother.
Warriors headcanon: He likes Wild. Wild is his brother. He's knows he comes after the others, and everyone knows Wild comes at the end. Which means he's sometime after Twilight/Legend/Wind and before Wild. Wild's story is a tragedy to him. Wild's story doesn't have a happy end, in his eyes. He wants to prevent it from happening at all, but if he can't, then he'll prepare Wild as best he can. Warriors is the reason the Yiga exist, but he's also the reason the Shrines were built.
Wild headcanon: He's not actually that upset over what happened to him. He's sad he lost his memories, but eventually he learns to live with the fact that he'll never recover all of them. He's sad about what happened to the Hyrule from his memories, but he loves the Hyrule he lives in now. He's got trauma from dying, but he's also got so much to live for. He mourns what he's lost, but he thanks the Shrine for a second chance. Wild's story, to him, is that of a resurrection. His story has a happy end.
JUST A FEW LIES ABC NEWS LET KAMALA GET AWAY WITH
CLAIM: Vice President Kamala Harris claimed Tuesday during a debate with former President Donald Trump that there were currently no active-duty troops in any combat zone anywhere around the world for the first time this century.
VERDICT: False. There are currently active duty U.S. troops deployed to Iraq and Syria who have been under frequent attack by Iran-backed militia forces over the past year. There are also thousands of active-duty U.S. sailors deployed to the Middle East who are facing attacks by drone strikes and missiles fired by the Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen. Earlier this year, three U.S. soldiers were killed on the border of Syria by Iran-backed forces.
CLAIM: “The Trump administration resulted in a trade deficit — one of the highest we’ve ever seen in the history of America,” Harris said.
VERDICT: FALSE. The trade deficit climbed to around $653 billion in Trump’s final year as president, in part because of depressed global demand for U.S. goods and services and a U.S. economy that recovered sooner than most other developed economies. But it never rose to the levels seen under President George W. Bush or the Biden-Harris administration. In fact, the trade deficit under Biden-Harris has never been as low as it was under Trump
CLAIM: Harris claimed that she supports Israel, after Donald Trump said she “hates” it.
VERDICT: MOSTLY FALSE. Harris has hired radical anti-Israel advisers and threatened to cut off weapons to Israel if it entered Rafah, she ignored Netanyahu on his most recent visit (after she was the presumptive nominee) not meeting him at the airport and boycotting his speech to congress to instead go to a sorority party, she offers only rhetorical support of Israel .
CLAIM: Harris INCORRECTLY labeled Trump tariff plan as a national sales tax. And claimed his tax would raise prices to consumers by $4000 a year.
Verdict: false. Inflation was very low during Trump’s presidency, including after his imposition of tariffs. In the first year of his presidency, prior to the imposition of tariffs, the consumer price index rose by 2.13 percent. In 2018, consumer prices rose by two percent. In 2020, prices rose by 2.5 percent. In 2021, prices rose by just 1.3 percent. By contrast, inflation soared under the Biden-Harris administration. In 2021, consumer prices rose 7.2 percent. In 2022, prices rose 6.4 percent. Last year, prices rose 3.2 percent.
CLAIM: Kamala Harris said: “Donald Trump left us the worst unemployment since the Great Depression.”
VERDICT: FALSE. Unemployment was 6.4% in January 2021 when trump left office, lower than it was in 2014, under Obama. Unemployment spiked to 14.8% in April 2020, only because of coronavirus-related shutdowns in democrat run states, When Biden took office, they inherited an economy that was already recovering.
THIS!!! People want to help and they don't know how!! And just picking something and doing it without you asking or at least confirming it's helpful feels like an invasion of your space when we just want to make your life better!
my life advice is if anyone ever says 'let me know if there's anything i can do' think of something for them to do even if you feel like they didn't mean it. if they didn't mean it they shouldn't have said it and if they did mean it u will both feel closer to each other for it.
And also remember he was too old to adopt in Tennessee because he was 18. This is mentioned in the movie, the book, and his memoir.
Remember The Blind Side starring Sandra Bullock? The movie showed how a kid who had an extremely rough upbringing got help from the family of a school friend, found success in football and ultimately ended up being adopted by the family. Turns out he was never adopted.
Michael Oher says that he was tricked by the Tuohy family into signing documents that made them his conservators. Since he was already 18 at the time the family told him, “that it means pretty much the exact same thing as 'adoptive parents,' but that the laws were just written in a way that took [his] age into account.”
Oher also says that papers were signed so that his story and likeness were given away for free to use in The Blind Side. He also never got a single royalty check for the hugely successful, Oscar nominated film in the 14 years since its release.
