i want art galleries and libraries and museums. i want walks in the park and cosy little cafés and rain hitting the stones paving the road. i want white shirts and plaid pants and punk patches sewn on jackets. i want bike rides to the bookshop, jumping on a random bus and just seeing where it’ll take you. i want pretty sunsets and foggy mornings, cold wind and golden rays warming me up. is that too much to ask?
The universe is an ongoing explosion.
That's where you live.
In an explosion.
Also, we absolutely don't know what living is.
Sometimes atoms arranged in a certain way just get very haunted.
That's us.
When an explosion explodes hard enough, dust wakes up and thinks about itself.
And then writes about it.
i have read the song of achilles, no longer human and macbeth in last 60 hours,,, and i feel unstable

A concept: You decide to visit your local family-owned coffee shop on a brisk, rainy day. You’re greeted by the shop’s owner with a warm smile as you make your way to a seat near the window, resting your thick coat on the back of the chair before you sit down. A waitress approaches you and takes your order, a warm croissant and single black coffee, no sugar or milk. Silence falls upon the shop, as you are their only customer so early in the day. You gaze absentmindedly out of the window, thinking of your dead lover, a single tear falling as the thunder booms.
It’s okay to be bad at things. If you like drawing, but none of your art is aesthetically pleasing to anyone, keep doing it. If you like singing, but you can’t hit any of the right notes, keep doing it. If you like dancing, but you don’t have a good feel of the music, keep doing it. Don’t stop doing the things that you love just because you aren’t good at them and don’t ever let anyone shame you for it.

I’m not studying any Greek or Roman this coming year (I sacrificed intro classical languages for gender & history), but I will be doing a Roman history module and engaging with the language is always useful. I know a few people who have been looking for Greek/Latin learning resources, which is how this list came about. It includes MOOCs, youtube videos and websites. Not really knowing much Latin or Greek I can’t vouch for them 100% but my googling skills are pretty on point, so they should be okay. Feel free to correct me or add to this.
