Folks would be trying to revive the debate over colleges admitting women. If young women were losing tons of money to sports betting, you'd have serious proposals for giving men control over their finances "for their own good". The notion that any group of people is inherently inferior and should be excluded from society is wrong, not matter who it's applied to. That idea is considered off the table when we talk about men, but not so much about women.
