was the studio bad egg livestream public or exclusive to backers? i'm having trouble locating their social media and where they might have streamed, and am interested in watching if possible ^^
The livestream was on the largest Gravity Falls Discord channel, so visible to anyone who joined the group! Studio Bad Egg has Instagram (@studiobadegg) if you’re looking for more information about the Kickstarter. The livestream is posted here! :)
I appreciate Gravity Falls immensely - for many reasons, but particularly for the way it approaches weirdness. While Gravity Falls’ anomalies are often dangerous for the characters, the show and narrative still depict them as something to be observed and understood, not as manifestations of evil needing to be destroyed. Even the most vicious of the supernatural beings, Bill Cipher, is made a villain by the actions he’s taken - not by simply being different. In fact, Bill’s weird behavior is often played for fun by Bill himself, and he’s even shown as charismatic at times. When Ford enters in the second season, the message is made clearer yet. He may not always have been accepted by others, but Ford’s uniqueness, curiosity, and unabashed individuality are admirable traits. Out-of-the-box thinking, by the Mystery Shack rebels and ultimately by Stan and Ford, ends up being what saves the world. Gravity Falls celebrates weirdness from beginning to end, summed up by some of the last words of Journal 3 -
“Stay curious, stay weird, stay kind, and don’t ever let anyone tell you you aren’t smart or brave or worthy enough.”
I am overcome with emotion. The sight of my old classmate … filled my heart with such joy and gratitude.

got some good fucking literature this morning and read it all in one sitting and been like this ever since
the book of bill more like the book of queer what the heck
i really hope this guy never becomes obscure. he's not just a cartoon character to me hes a historical icon. a relic from a very specific time in the 2010s that helped shape modern fandom culture. immortalized on forearm tattoos, graffiti murals, bootleg redbubble tshirts, tree carvings, and tumblr sexyman polls worldwide. like a bug trapped in amber, except it's a really fucked up bug who collects teeth and has a cult-like internet presence. he's like the mickey mouse of deviantart zoomers. also he is very nicely shaped
"fordsie" “my muse” ford fucked that triangle
