Because Jheselbraum only appears in Journal 3, there is no official pronunciation for her name that I know of. I assumed it was pronounced like Jee-sel (rhyming with easel), but I’ve heard other people pronouncing it as Jez-el (rhyming with bezel). I’m curious about how common both pronunciations are. It’s okay if you aren’t familiar with her, just answer for how you’d say her name.

11 years ago today, on June 15, 2012, the first episode of Gravity Falls aired on TV. In the 11 years since, it has grown to be a truly beloved story, influencing numerous other works since and establishing its place among the best animated series. I didn’t end up watching it until summer 2022, but I’m grateful for how creative, active, and welcoming the fandom continues to be, even years after the show’s finale.
