No one wants to leave the country they grew up in, but news like this shows how difficult it is to live in Gaza with homes, schools and hospitals destroyed.
So I hope you can help me evacuate my family from Gaza so that my father can get treatment abroad. I beg everyone who sees this to either donate or participate so that we can get out of this nightmare.
🌼✨ 7 Ways to Welcome Springtime ✨ 🌼
• Clean something. There’s a reason for ‘Spring cleaning’ — this is such a wonderful time to clear out old objects and ‘refresh’ your commonly used spaces! Vacuum thoroughly, wash all of your bedding, dust the corners and windowsills, spritz your pillows and closet with eucalyptus spray, wipe down the mirrors, add lavender satchels to your dresser drawers — Anything you can do to make your area feel new.
• Decorate your spaces to reflect the season. One of the best methods of bringing the aura of a certain time of year into your *own* realm is through means of decorating! Gather the first bouquet, place yellow or baby pink candles upon your surfaces, change your desktop or iPhone wallpaper to something whimsical (think of artworks by Gustave Doré, Beatrix Potter, Edouard Bisson, or Claude Monet), adorn the shelves with bunny plushies or elven figurines, fill the air with lovely classical music or recorded nature sounds, or string some fairy lights around your bed!
• Try something new. This doesn’t have to be anything huge! — It can be as simple as breaking in a new journal with just a few words, taking a quick walk on an unventured path, or trying an herbal tea blend that you’ve never drank before.
• Out with the old. There’s something so enticing about gathering and getting rid of certain items which no longer suit your fancy: Drop off a bag or two of donatable things at a secondhand shop, clearing your space of their influence + feeling lovely at the thought of someone else potentially giving them new life.
• Refresh your skin. Embrace the essence of Spring by cleansing your body’s surface through extra-soft means: Lavender sheet masks or body scrubs, rose facial oils or sprays, herb-filled bath bombs, Burt’s Bees facial scrubs and hand treatments, floral-scented body lotions and butters, etc.
• Focus on nature. This could mean a large number of things to partake in! Begin to tend to a succulent; join a community garden; brew your own Sun Tea; cleanse your crystals; watch a nature documentary; open the windows; sit in a park; diffuse some essential oils; make plans to visit a botanical garden or butterfly santuary.
• Allow yourself to feel like a child again. What’s wrong with opening your heart to the pure magic in the air once more; in a manner similar to that once held by little-you? Revisit old childhood favourites! Read the ‘Peter Rabbit’ stories, drink a big cup of chamomile flower tea, sit amongst the dandelions (and make wishes upon them), watch a few ‘Winnie the Pooh’ animated classics, draw with sidewalk chalk, weave a flower crown. Hold near to you the sweet softness of this season, welcoming it with open arms and wide eyes! ~ 🧺✨🌿🐇🌸
I don't see the harm in trying
this is so mean but sometimes i see published writing and suddenly no longer feel insecure about my own writing ability. like well okay that got published so im guessing i dont have much to worry about
Three butch friends of mine finishing the basement of my first house around 1996. They worked for beer, and not even anything fancy.
"Kids aren't forced on HRT" except I was, and I was raped by a female OBGYN as a CHILD with the largest metal speculum this woman had available ON PURPOSE to punish me while she laughed with her nurse, humiliated me, and called me at home to continue harassing me. I was then forced onto estrogen to "normalize" my intersex body.
I hate people who say kids aren't forced onto HRT about as much as I hate when TERFs say that they are - in reference to trans perisex people, because they do believe intersex people need to be "cured" and should be forced onto HRT. Kids are forced onto HRT, it's just not the kids that perisex people care about, whether those perisex people are for or against HRT. Stop erasing our fucking existence to defend your fucking existence and find a better fucking argument.
You can't defend autonomy without indulging in intersexist violence?
