I do not know my own heart, it betrays my mind. I feel torment.
Am I to chase happiness and rise or to settle for what is safe?
Will I cry out in joy or am I to lament?
I have returned after forgetting I had this little thing and after looking over I have decided to use this once more!
I Know This; being true to yourself is as frightening as drowning. Sometimes you would much rather close your eyes and sip the water down until your lungs are full instead of confessing who you are and accept that you are flawed and imperfect.

a hill i WILL die on: books of translated poetry should always include the originals with the translation, EVEN if the langauge is a so-called obscure or non-western one and the target audience of the translations is assumed not to read it. the basic format of the poem even can change a lot with translation, and a sharp-eyed reader who doesn’t understand the original language can still notice patterns in the original
