I'm not sure if I should be amazed or worried by how far animatronics have come as far as realism goes. If they can make entertainment robots be so animated and move realistically, whose to say they haven't already made some for more "productive" purposes...
it took me like 3 minutes to process the fact that this wasnt cgi
Just another reason to love apples.
APPLE: Malus pumila
In Ireland, the apple is considered one of the foods of the dead; during Samhain apples are often piled on altars and graves, giving the festival the nickname ‘the feast of apples’. Before a funeral, a coffin may be lined with apple wood to restore youth in the afterlife. During Samhain, bobbing for apples is a common game to play; if you are to capture an apple, it is symbolic of being allowed to cross over to the island of Avalon and you will be blessed for a year. Incidentally, the name Avalon is considered to be of either Welsh, Cornish, or Breton origin, from avallen, meaning ‘fruit tree’ or the old Irish aball, meaning apple.
These are beautiful, I recognized the first from Exandria Reborn but I'm trying to place where the 3rd (with the oxycotl) is from.

Just ridiculous, half of those books are on required reading lists for highschool/college level English literature classes.
The sign of high quality is the fact the book was banned by the government. Trash literature NEVER EVER had any troubles with the law.
The water doesn't even look real, amazing!

Hilarious!

This has to be my new favorite thread/story I've discovered on this crazy app.
This just hit me. I’m so Southern my family has a matriarch and no one in the family knows for sure how old she is. We all also got into a heated debate about the existence of her glass eye (still not confirmed). She’s in her 90s- we think- beat cancer, outlived two husbands, had seven children and has outlived three of them, survived The Great Depression, and either her dad or her grandfather was a full blooded Cherokee Indian… possibly the tribe’s leader but no one really knows for sure.
She also once lit into my dad’s school bus driver, cussing him black and blue about how he treated the kids and didn’t realize she had a butcher’s knife in her hand until he RAN away. She didn’t have any more trouble out of him.
