image

2 lbs of your apple of choice (about 5/6 medium apples; i used gala and they were perfectly soft for this and not too sweet!) 1/3 c. of water juice of one medium lemon (abt 2 tbsp) ½ c. granulated white sugar

I’ve been seeing some WASP NEGATIVITY lately so just a reminder that insects are important and interesting whether you find them “cute” or not. Which btw wasps are cute actually but anyways… (also sorry for the US-centrism)

Home Warding

I recently moved into a new flat, so now seems a good time to share my personal methods of warding!✨

DISCLAIMER - warding is a deeply personal thing - although these are my preferred methods there is no single ‘right’ way to ward - do whatever works best for you!✨

✨CLEANSE✨

Always a good idea, particularly if you’re moving into rented or shared accommodation. Normally I would have used incense smoke but as I didn’t have any to hand I did an energy cleanse.

✨The First Layer✨

My first layer of warding is an energy ward designed to Shield My Space From Unwelcome Eyes - to create this I gathered my energy and focused it on constructing a barrier (I visualise it as solid white glow) which follows the contours of my room.

✨Side note - when creating your wards, don’t forget to cover all bases - you don’t want to put all your energy into a ward that leaves gaps such as corners or the floor and ceiling ✨

✨The Second Layer✨

My second layer of warding is another, more powerful energy ward, constructed the same way but imbued with much more energy (PLEASE be very careful not to exhaust yourself) designed to Rebound Physical or Emotional Pain Aimed At Me Onto Those Who Would Cause It - this is a slightly more offensive ward and should deter malicious entities by reflecting their negative intentions back into themselves.

✨The Third Layer✨

Instead of creating a third energy ward, I reinforce my protection using a protective ‘potion’ (the ingredients can be found below) with which I annointed the doors and windows, added a range of specific sigils for protection to various spots and sprayed the perimeter.

I may add further layers of energy warding in the future but I find it best not to expend too much strength in any single session.

NICNEVIN: SCOTTISH GODDESS OF SAMNHAIN

“In modern practice Nicnevin is believed to ride out on The Wild Hunt at Samhuinn Eve as The Queen of Elphame with her spirits and mysterious creatures, whereas others say her sacred days are 9th and 11th November. Yule or Midwinter is also said to be sacred to her. Nicnevin can be called upon for aid in otherworldly travel, communicating with spirits, protection at night, and pretty much everything within the domain of witchcraft. “

— Quick Card Spread

— Quick Card Spread

Past Wounds Spread

A: The thing that still hurts you

B: Advice

Step by Step

shuffle and draw as you usually do

the first card is about your wound. it's something that still hurts you to this day, either consciously or subconsciously. it can have a great impact on your current life or a smaller one, however, aspects of this still linger and influence you.

the second card is a suggestion. something that may help you work through it or slowly come to terms with it. it can be a piece of advice or a thought to remind yourself of, a message about it, or a piece of general advice on how to deal with the influence of this old wound.

personally, I tend to go by suit. with a cup card, my old wound would be related to emotions or relationships, with a sword card, it may have been an argument, my thoughts, someone else's thoughts/opinions, criticism, or problems that left a mark on me.

Example Reading

A: Four of Pentacles

B: Star

Depending on how you usually read the cards, this can have multiple interpretations (read: more than just these two I wrote out here)

Possibility 1)

The way I personally read, I'd say this is about someone who had to be very careful with money in the past, someone who had very little and needed to hold onto their resources tightly all the time. It may prompt them to stick with this behavior, even if their situation might have changed by now. To me, the star signals letting go of this, trusting a bit more that times changed and that they don't need to hold on so tightly anymore, that they can give themselves a nice little thing once in a while.

Possibility 2)

Another way would be to say that the first card is about someone clingy, someone who is afraid to give room to people or things because they might leave then. someone who is afraid to lose something

and with the star there, the message wouldn't change much from the previous one, but perhaps, the focus would be more on "trust it will be alright" because the star is always a positive omen and a signal that hope and faith are needed to overcome something.

Transition

2020 was the awakening of a new side of me.

2021 was me shoving down all individuality, shrinking for the comfort of others and then fleeing and beginning my recovery journey.

2022 I spent almost entirely alone. I gained new boundaries, I began allowing my true self to shine through and got new friends as a result. I learned So Much about the galaxy within this vessel, I was hard on myself and patient.

My suspicion is that 2022 was the year of seeing the first budding plants after I’ve laid the seeds down. 2023 is going to be the full harvest, the abundance that baffles in its enormity. And I’m ready. I’ll never be ready and I’ll never be as ready as I am.
