It’s SO obvious that some of y’all are incredibly mad that my wizard hat is bigger and supremely balanced.
Help me. I made more. How did this AU come about again? I basically spent way too much time being interested in all things mythological when I was younger so it was inevitable that this happened I guess?
I’m tagging everyone that was involved in the other post as well @vikingstrash @quantumlocked310 @ritual-unions-gotme @deans-ch-ch-cherrypie @kataphine and the person that gave me the idea to begin with @ofmanderley 😊
Merman Ragnar. The idea of Lagertha catching him in a net still cracks me up.
Valkyrie Lagertha. Given her fighting nature, this was the only choice.
Witch/Siren Aslaugh. Like @quantumlocked310 I couldn’t decide which of these two she should be, but both options work for me.
Dryad Floki. A tree spirit! It makes total sense!
Minotaur Rollo. I don’t why, but it works for me.
Phoenix Siggy. Because she comes back stronger every single time. Apart from that one time that will not be mentioned.
Werebear Bjorn. He got attacked by a bear in the show so it’s basically canon.
Siren Sigurd (which has been written into existence quite excellently by @vikingstrash ❤️)
Disclaimer: This is all based on my research, path, opinion & experiences! Intro: I really was holding out on doing this post because it’s such a big, important topic to cover and I really don’t want to mess it up or get anything wrong. This post needs to be done though, people have asked if I have such a post and an anon suggested it. So finally, here it is. - What Is Warding? Warding is a type of magick, it is the act of creating an energetic barrier around you, your home, an object, ect. They can be temporary or permanent, although typically they are cast with the long term in mind. They can banish or turn away whatever you choose. Warding is an excellent skill to have because it can keep you, and even others safe and with practice you can do it anytime with just about whatever you have on hand. When Should I Ward? Whenever you want an energetic barrier around you, most people consistently ward their home, themselves or their place of practice. Some people even ward their space every time they prepare for a spell. It should be done consistently in any area you want protected, but exactly where and how often is entirely up to the practitioner. What Should I Do Before? Cleanse, a ward is a barrier of energy and in the same way that it keeps things out it also keeps things in. You don’t want to trap anything inside of it. Cleanse yourself before you ward yourself. Cleanse your space before you ward your space! Tips Before You Ward- Phrasing Keep the phrasing in mind! You don’t want to keep anything out that you want in, or let something in that you want out. If you’re chanting or using sigils ect keep in mind exactly what you want to keep out both in your methods and in your mind. Covering everything Make sure to cover everything, a ward is useless if there’s a weakness in it or if the ceiling & floor aren’t probably covered. Be super thorough! Layering Your Wards One small little wimpy barrier? Ha, the spirits say as they scramble into your home to wreak havoc! You need to layer your wards, don’t just use one method one time, there’s no such thing as too much warding. What Are Some Ways That I Can Ward? Now we’ll get right down to the methods you can use to ward yourself and your space! Remember that warding is important and needs to be effective, don’t try anything that you don’t have experience with for warding. At first, focus on the stuff you know. If you like sigils, use sigils at first and slowly work your way into using other more complex methods or methods that solely rely on your abilities. Circle Casting You cast a circle by summoning the four elements to protect & energize what is in the circle. - Here’s my post about circles & how to cast them Chanting/Speaking Come up with a protective chant you can use to ward your space. This chant could be someone else’s or your own as long as you feel it’s effective. Speak it aloud and visualize a layer of energy protecting your space. Incense Burn a protective incense in the space you’d like to ward and visualize a barrier protecting your space. Athame Draw out the line of your ward with your athame, visualize the wall appearing, covering everything with a thick layer of energy. Spraying Spray a mix of blessed/magickal waters and or herbs with protective properties in the space you want to ward. Sigils Create a sigil using your favorite method with the intent to “ward” or “protect/protection.” Then charge and activate it as a layer of protection! Here’s my post on sigils if you’re interested in that: - Sigil Post Jar Spells You could mix up a jar spell for warding, set it in your house and forget it as a layer of warding. - My protective jar spell post Anointment Anoint the doorways of your space, you could also anoint the ceiling, floor, walls, corners, honestly go for it. Salt Sprinkle salt all around the edge of your home or space. Make sure to sprinkle salt on the INSIDE of your harm as salt can harm plants & wildlife if used outside. If you’d like to make a barrier on the outside of your home, you can use dried & crushed eggshells in place of salt. - Post on how to make eggshell powder here - Hag stones Hag stones are stones with holes in them that have been corroded into the stone because of rushing water. It is believed rushing water is protective & cleansing so if you wear a stone that sat in it long enough to have parts corroded away, that the stone will maintain and keep those properties with it. It’s a great way to personally ward yourself, and an excuse to go out in nature. They look like this!
Energy Manipulation If you’ve got a knack for manipulating energy, you can create a barrier through work and visualization that surrounds yourself or your space. This isn’t recommended for beginners though! Links: - Horse Warding Charm By @anothersusurrus - House Warding Spritz Mixture By @seleneblackwell Both of these are great if you’re looking for specific spells, types of magick, correspondences, sigils, ect! - Protection Magic Masterpost Part 1 By @auricwitch - Protection Magic Masterpost Part 2 By @auricwitch Personal Wards Also remember not just to ward your space but yourself, if you layer your home with wards, what happens when you leave? Exactly. Keep yourself safe too! Circle casting & hag stones are great methods I mentioned above that are good for personal warding. Can I Ward Specific Things And Not Others? Absolutely! I mentioned this in the phrasing section of this post, keep in mind exactly what you want to keep out when you’re warding. I like words like “negative” or “harmful” or “with ill intent” because they don’t necessarily keep out the Fae or positive/neutral spirits but it does keep out anything that wants to harm you in general. Just think about it ahead of time, find wording or a phrase you like and keep that in mind as you ward. What If I Live With People? If you’re out of the broom closet, explain to your family/roommates what you’re doing and why you’re doing it and make sure they’re cool with it and are aware of what’s going on. If you’re not out of the broom closet, you may have to resort to only warding yourself/your room, & that’s okay! I hope this helps someone or teaches them something new! Enjoy! Have a lovely day 💖

Books:
Witchy books list
Why Silver Rravenwolf’s books can get f***ed
items:
- storm (or rain) water
- freshwater shell (I used an apple snail shell, but a something like a mussel or other shell would work. if you don't have one sub with a saltwater/estuarine shell and see how it goes!)
- Any charm that you can hang, preferably one that invokes imagery/symbolism of water or rain
- 2 more shells (salt or fresh. I used ones with open faces)
- silver bell
- sea glass (blues and greens)
- salt (epsom or sea salt preferred)
- large/medium feather of a water fowl (grey or white preferred)
- clear quartz (optional)
- offering dish (optional, really for presentation and clean up)
prep:
1. Set up the freshwater shell on the offering dish (or table) and keep it stable with a ring of sea glass (optional: single clear quartz or clear sea glass at front).
2. Place the charm in the shell with rope/thread/ribbon draping towards you.
3. Place the silver bell at the "north" of the dish (imagine the dish as a compass) and place your other two shells on either side of it.
4. Put the feather in front of you with the quill end nearest to your dominant hand.
5. Have the salt in a small container you can pinch into.
ritual:
1. Breathe deeply 3 times with eyes closed to center yourself. You can also create a circle or do any other grounding exercises at this time.
2. Make a circle around the inner rim of the offering dish (or table) with the salt and get this meaning across with words: "salt, mineral of the oceans, protector and cleanser"
3. Pick up the feather and stir the energies to the metaphorical north (treat the offering dish like a compass). I did this with my eyes closed as it lessens distractions. You will repeat this action for each cardinal direction and get this meaning across in order:
"I beckon rain from the North, to soak the rich earth"
"I beckon rain from the East, aided by its winds for a swift arrival"
"I beckon rain from the South, as the heat of is your creator, and it is the heat you will abate"
"I beckon rain from the West, as all waters merge and must complete their cycle"
I find it important to use "will" rather than might/should as to bolster the confidence behind your intentions. Feel free to alter and add to this wording as much as you like for it is already loose and use this time to invoke any specific deities or spirits as I did not.
4. Place the feather down gently, breathe, and say "after I have rung this bell 3 times, whenever I hang this charm where the sky can see, it will intice rain for as long as it hangs" (be thoughtful of wording and your intentions here, loopholes are very easy to accidentally create, so set clear parameters that aren't too outrageous)
5. Ring the bell with steady motions. It's important that you get 3 clear rings, so if you try to ring it once but the sound isn't great, try until you have 3 satisfactory chimes.
6. Once you have placed the bell back down, close your circle or breathe to realign any energies.
And that's about it! I tried this today and we got a good spell of rain (with thunder and everything!) even though there was no predictions for it this whole week. I'm hesitant to do a spell for storms as I live in a hurricane-prone region and it's that time of year, but feel free to replace "rain" with "storm" or whatever wording feels specific to what you desire. I kept the wordings here intentionally vague/loose because it's important to use words that you mean something to you.
Let me know if you try this and get anything out of it, or how you changed it! It's the first spell I've posted here so I'm interested to know.

What is Imbolc?
It is the start of Spring, which is a season of magical energy associated with the goddess’s feminine side, new beginnings, and fire. It’s a fantastic time to concentrate on divination and honing your own magical skills. Use these ideas to your advantage and arrange your work accordingly.
How do I celebrate Imbolc in a simple way?
1. Visit a stream, river, or water
Imbolc was traditionally a time for pilgrimages to holy water, such as a spring or a well, to purify ourselves and bring fertility to our dreams. Why not go on a family excursion to find some water near your home, such as a river, stream, or well? Splash some water on yourself if the water is pure, and establish your goal to cleanse and purify. To deliver messages of hope and healing, Glennie Kindred suggests dipping a piece of ribbon in water and then hanging it from a nearby tree (trees near water are especially sacred). She also urges us to express gratitude to the spirits of the places we visit by picking up any trash we notice nearby. (greekparent.co.uk)
2. Drink milk or spiced cider
Milk or spiced cider are good options. Set a beautiful supper table with candles, evergreen boughs, spring flowers, dragons, sun symbols, or anything else that speaks to you about Imbolc. Make use of the fine china. Allow your children to make their beds in a unique fashion to resemble Brigid’s.
3. Decorate your altar
Because Imbolc’s energy is about creating plans but not yet acting on them, letting go of old energy that no longer serves you is a crucial step to take. You can begin by emotionally clearing your altar (and your entire home if you feel the need!) as well as physically cleaning it. Wipe it down with Florida Water before replacing the towel and sweeping the sluggish energy away with a besom.
Adding a bunch of candles to your altar for Imbolc is a simple way to change it up! These are meant to welcome the light and pay homage to the goddess. Red candles can be used to further portray the fire element. Fire and the hearth are also represented by cauldrons.
Shoutout to the breakers of generational curses.

Update: 11/23 WOW. Firstly, I’m totally overwhelmed and honored by the response this piece has gotten. Seeing it resonate with so many people has sincerely moved me. I’m so incredibly happy that it means different things to different people.
A couple people have sent me messages asking if they could have my blessing to get the Ouroboros tattoo’d on them.
The short answer to that is- absolutely. I would be honored. If you do so please tag me! I would love to see the final product=^} this is a very personal piece to me and I hope to get it on myself soon.
However; I am apprenticing to become a tattoo artist myself and while there is absolutely no pressure, I would greatly appreciate anyone using the design as a tattoo to consider donating to my donate links any small tip they could spare to help support my art as I pursue this career. It’s really tough now doing unpaid work during the pandemic and It would really help me since I can’t afford to currently reproduce any designs. (Donate: www.paypal.com/paypalme/Tagtaylorsit) again, absolutely no pressure. I know times are tough.
If you feel inspired by the Ouroboros and would like to do your own artwork that is totally fine, who am I to stop another artist from expressing themselves? If you would like to draw this particular design on something (someone talked about painting it on their jacket, which I thought was really cool) I am cool with that as well. However; I would like to produce a small run of patches or pins of this design so I do ask that you refrain from selling products using my art.
If everyone who got this tattoo’d on them gave me 10 bucks, I’d be able for afford a proper tattoo machine, which would greatly help me during this apprenticeship.
=^) I love reading everyone’s stories about how they are ending toxic cycles in different forms in their lives and support all of you in your battles. Thank you all so much.
Diamonds are the suit of finances, material value, success, rewards and growth. This suit generally talks about wealth, property and work. The following are my interpretations of the individual cards.
Ace of diamonds is typically a card of opportunity. When upright, ace of diamonds speaks of proposals and messages. These can be anything from marriage proposals, business proposals or anything that would be considered good news. A lucky card, unless the surrounding cards refute this.
When reversed, ace of diamonds represents secrets and sometimes bad luck. Whether these secrets are ones that should be kept secret or not depends on the surrounding cards.
I like to associate two of diamonds with four leaf clovers and coins. When upright, two of diamonds speaks of increased luck, finances and stability. If it is regarding partnerships of any kind, this card assures that it will be a good one. When this card is in the spread it shows hope for the future.
When reversed, two of diamonds warns of gossip; people running their mouths when they shouldn't. Sharing sworn secrets, badmouthing and things of the like. Kings, queens and jacks shown in the reading can tell you who is gossiping.
This is generally a messenger card, depending on the reading. When upright, three of diamonds can indicate good fortune, but also warns not to throw your money away. Three of diamonds also alerts you about a person who wants to hear from you or speak to you. Kings, queens and jacks shown in the reading can tell you who this is.
When reversed, this card warns of confusion and conflict. It can also warn you of upcoming legal issues that you need to be prepared for. The surrounding cards can give you more insight.
"Get to work" sums up this card pretty well. When upright, four of diamonds speaks of a need to be responsible and work towards something. Lace up your boots and start moving. This card can also indicate a pleasant crowd or meeting, depending on the surrounding cards.
When reversed, four of diamonds speaks of laziness and lack of confidence. Depending on the reading it also warns of an individual being a follower rather than a leader.
This is a multifaced card and it's meaning can change drastically depending on the surrounding cards. When upright, five of diamonds can speak of good luck and pleasant surprises. This card commonly comes out in love readings, indicating good luck in new relationships or marriage. It can also come out to indicate an influx of wealth. On the other hand, the surrounding cards can suggest a more negative reason to gain such things.
When reversed, five of diamonds speaks of a breakdown or involuntary changes. It often represents breakups, separations and canceling deals. Be prepared for some drama.
This is an excellent card to get in a reading about finances. When upright, six of diamonds speaks of increases in wealth and fortune. How this influx of wealth comes depends on the surrounding cards.
When reversed, six of diamonds speaks of roadblocks and obstacles. It is often a warning to turn back while you still can; you can avoid what lies ahead if you make smart decisions.
When this card shows in a reading, it is a warning. When upright, seven of diamonds warns to keep a close eye on your bank account and your investments. If this card shows in a reading regarding other people, it can warn you that somebody has lied to you or stole something.
When reversed, seven of diamonds indicates a less severe loss of finances and that the individual needs to clean themselves up before it gets worse. It can also indicate that truths will be revealed; lies can't be kept hidden forever.
Similar to the six of diamonds, eight of diamonds speaks of increased wealth. When upright, eight of diamonds speaks of unexpected gains in finances or material items. Treasure, so to speak. It is common for this card to show for inheritance and heirlooms.
When reversed, eight of diamonds can mean one of two things: loss in wealth, or sharing secrets. You're either in to lose a little bit of money, or somebody that was confided in is spilling secrets.
This card has a few possibilities, but they all generally mean expenses. When upright, nine of diamonds warns that money will have to be put towards something of necessity. Repairs, replacements, bills... Things like that. If the reading is specifically about spirits, it represents a haint, demon, negative entity or whatever you'd call it. It isn't benevolent.
When reversed, nine of diamonds indicates disappointment and stress. The individual needs to rest before they become burnt out or cause harm to themselves. Exhaustion is dangerous.
This may be one of the best cards to pull regarding the future or any goals the individual may have. When upright, ten of diamonds represents overall success and achievements in the long-run. Even if the current situation seems negative, things will turn out to be better later.
When reversed, ten of diamonds indicates a lost dream or goal. Something won't be achieved by the looks of it. This card can also be shown to represent compensation for something lost.
The jacks, queens and kings represent people in my interpretations. These cards in the diamonds suit tend to be individuals with lighter features: their natural hair color, eyes, skin and/or style may present lighter. This will likely not apply to every person being represented by these cards, so consider the following interpretations as well.
The jack of diamonds is somebody who is physically very attractive. They are determined to get what they want and have the capabilities to do it. Very ambitious individuals. They tend to have high standards and are difficult to please.
The queen of diamonds is a feminine-presenting individual who is practical, resourceful and persistent. They make good managers and are typically they type to maintain a schedule, but they are also nitpicky and tend to gossip. Sometimes this card shows for a mother/parent who is overall good at being a parent, but tends to be a little smothering.
The king of diamonds is a masculine-presenting individual who may have dedicated their life to work more than anything. They tend to be business-oriented and are often the head of the family, or at least the most respected. This person expects to be treated with a level of respect. They are also prone to having a bit of a temper when they feel wronged or disrespected. Be careful with how you speak to this one.
Hey, it’s the next part of my jar spell series! Warding and protection is super duper important when working with witchcraft and spirits in general. I designed these spells specifically for strong protection and I charged them with the specific intent I wanted. This little bottle can be jam packed with power if you charge it well, and the larger the capsule is, the more you can get.
For this spell, I used…
crushed bay leaves (protection, psychic power)
sea salt (purification, cleansing, protection)
sage herb (purification, psychic power, protection)
cloves powder (protection, banishing hostile forces)
rosemary herb (purification, psychic power)
peridot chips (strength)
tigers eye chips (protection & strength)
amethyst chips (purification, cleansing)
turquoise chips (protection, wards off psychic attack)
Feel free to use as many of these ingredients or as few as you like; substitute items, replace them, and add your own! Let me know how it goes ❤️❤️
