Here is a simple four card spread that you can do to welcome the changing of seasons!
Imbolc marks the halfway point between winter and summer, and is the perfect time to prepare for the coming spring. Read more about Imbolc here.
Past: What can you learn from the past season? Winter can be rough for some people, maybe you were put through the wringer this past season too. What is something you can glean from this experience so that you can learn from this?
Present: What energy do you need to bring into this next season? It’s important to learn from the past and plan for the future, but make sure you are able to stay present and grounded even as the weather is bleak. So, what energy should you bring with you into this changing of seasons that can help you to learn, prepare, and pursue what you need to?
Prepare: Anything you would need to prepare for this coming season? This is the time of the year that farmers and gardeners start to prep their lands and plant their seeds for the spring; what is something you can prepare for that you will need to grow or nurture in the springtime?
Pursue: What is something you need to pursue during this time? This could be a goal that you set earlier this year but you have yet to follow through on, is this something you could be pursuing now, during this halfway between winter and spring?
I haven't done this exact spread yet, I plan to do it the day of Imbolc. I'll share my experience with it if I feel like it's ok to share :)
Let me know if you try out this spread, I would love to know how you feel about it!!!

an old spell of mine i had posted on an old side account before deleting the blog, but i’m reposting it here on my new witchcraft side blog. a jar spell that charges in the sun to keep your space protected. this ward is strongest in late spring and summer.
☀️ gather: jar, black tea leaves, green tea leaves, cayenne pepper, apple seed, black candle
☀️ light your black candle
☀️ layer the ingredients one by one into your jar. black tea grounds to expel negative energy and entities, green tea leaves to amplify energy and behave as a catalyst, cayenne pepper for offensive magic/quick results/heat, then one by one place a desired amount of apple seed*
☀️ as you drop your apple seed, affirm “for every attack on this ward, it is reflected to the attacker ten times the amount for every apple seed in this jar”
☀️ spit inside the jar and seal with candle wax
☀️ place in a section of your home where it can be in direct sunlight and recharge (or reheat) as needed.
*while apple seed may be used as a love spell ingredient, due to the resin properties within it can also be used for curses*

I see a lot of stuff online saying the current energy and tension is as a result of Mercury in Pisces (trop), or the fact that Jupiter must be uncomfortable in Pisces (trop) etc.
From a Vedic perspective there is a stellium in Capricorn right now (Venus & Mars in Shravana and Saturn in Dhanista). Saturn and Mars are ENEMIES. While Venus doesn’t consider Saturn or Mars enemies this current configuration is not comforting for Venus. Venus likes diplomacy and would prefer to peacefully talk about matters before waging war.
Right now Mars is travelling to meet Saturn very close to its exact exaltation point in Dhanista, the end of March and early April is when the conjunction will be very tight and this can cause a lot of turbulence. Right now Mars and Venus both being in Shravana is one of the main reasons why people are slow to react and take action regarding many critical matters, Shravana is not a fast paced nakshatra. This lunar mansion is about taking things slow, listening before speaking, contemplating deeply before acting etc. However when both Venus and Mars leave Shravana (March 26th onwards) those things can really start moving quickly. Tip for anyone that finds themselves in a difficult situation towards the end of the month: Either you step you up and take responsibility regarding important issues if not be willing to let it go for good.
Venus leaves Capricorn to move into Aquarius at the beginning of April (1st of April) which could mean Saturn and Mars will really battle it out (because Venus won’t be there to mediate between the two). I predict this entire week is going to very INTENSE FOR EVERYONE.
Around 8th of April Mars will finally leave Capricorn which will break the planetary war with Saturn. Soon after, around the 12th of April Rahu will enter Aries ruled by Mars- the relationship between Mars and Rahu is complicated. They are not fully comfortable with each other.
Rahu’s current position in Taurus is actually considered his exaltation, this move to Aries is going to be very radical for the world. This truly represents a brand new cycle - some of it good and some of it bad. Personally I feel this is going to mark the end of the covid chapter that we have long been facing - it nots going to be a primary concern anymore.
Hopefully Jupiter’s transit to Pisces (around 14-15th April) will bring some much needed healing, wisdom and guidance to us all🤞🏽!
Protection spell /spell jar
Over the years of practicing witchcraft, many have come to me with questions and concerns about deity work and/or deity worship. It's completely natural to feel apprehensive, especially when starting something new. In this post I will get into the differences and address common fears to help you feel more confident in your practice!
Remember, working with or worshiping deities is a deeply personal journey. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Trust your intuition, be respectful, and allow yourself the freedom to explore and grow. Deities are here to guide and support us, not to instill fear.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or share your experiences! We’re all here to learn and support each other on this spiritual path! Blessed be 🤍✨🕯️

Deity work is more about forming a personal relationship or partnership with a deity. It can be less formal and more focused on mutual growth and learning. The aim is to collaborate with the deity for personal development, spiritual growth, or specific goals. Some common practices include:
meditation
journaling
divination
dreamwork
personalized offerings based on your interactions with the deity
Deity worship involves honoring and venerating a deity through rituals, offerings, prayers, and other acts of devotion. It's a more traditional and structured approach. The goal is to show respect, gratitude, and seek blessings or guidance from the deity. Common practices include:
creating altars
offering food, flowers, incense, etc.
reciting prayers
participating in festivals or holy days
Fear of Doing Things Wrong:
Flexibility: Understand that deities are often more understanding than we think. Intentions matter more than rigid adherence to rituals. If you approach with respect and sincerity, minor mistakes are often forgiven.
Learning Process: It's okay to learn and grow. Many practitioners find their path through trial and error. Deities appreciate genuine effort and growth.
2. Fear of Negative Consequences:
Respect & Boundaries: As long as you approach deities with respect and maintain clear boundaries, negative consequences are rare. Communicate openly and honestly with the deity about your fears and intentions.
Protection Practices: Incorporate protection practices into your routine, such as grounding, shielding, or using protective crystals and herbs.
3. Choosing A Deity:
Research: Take your time to research and learn about different deities. Look for ones whose attributes and stories resonate with you.
Signs & Synchronicities: Pay attention to signs, dreams, and synchronicities that might indicate a deity is reaching out to you. Trust your intuition.
4. Fear of Commitment:
There's a misconception that once you start working with a deity, you're bound to them forever. In reality, relationships with deities can be fluid and adaptable. It's perfectly okay to take breaks, reassess your spiritual path, or even change directions entirely. Deities understand that your spiritual journey is personal and ever-evolving. They are there to support and guide you, not confine you. So, if you feel the need to step back or explore a different path, know that it's a natural part of your spiritual growth and development.
5. Fear of Judgement:
Many people fear being judged by others for their spiritual practices. It's important to remind them that their spiritual journey is deeply personal and unique to them. Everyone's path is different, and what feels right for one person may not resonate with another. Encouraging others to trust their intuition and follow what feels right for them, regardless of others' opinions, is crucial. Spirituality is about finding a connection that brings inner peace and fulfillment, and that can only be achieved by staying true to oneself. So, it's essential to prioritize personal beliefs and experiences over external judgement.
So this is one of those things I've kept on hand ever since my days as a baby witch because it's a) easy to make and b) easy to hide if you're still closeted for any reason because it doesn't really smell or anything. I mean yes now I don't have to hide so I keep mine in an old pickle jar, but it can be kept in opaque containers to hide it if necessary.
You really only need 2 things for this - some kind of metal that will rust, and water. You're essentially letting the metal rust and using the rusty water for your craft. Of course this means be very careful, don't touch this with your bare hands/don't get it on your skin (and wash up right away if you do get it on you), and any implements you use to stir it or handle it need to be washed thoroughly when you're done.
Now if you look around some people will tell you that you need very specific metals and/or water - versions where only cut nails will do, or broken pins, or something of the sort and where the water has to be rain water, snow water, set outside in the moonlight, collected only on a certain day, whatever. And I'm not saying those versions are wrong per say, but they are not universal to everyone's practice.
Mine contains any metal I know will rust - bits of jewelry chains that broke, metal rings from pendants I pried off, a few nails from old projects that would have just been tossed out otherwise, ect. And the water? Plain tap water. I haven't had the ability to set up my rain water or snow water collection systems since I moved in with my house mates, so I just use tap water.
As for uses, war water is most often associated with a form of protection. A very aggressive, offensive form of protection that is known to basically cause your enemies to war with one another while also taking those disruptive energies and taking them far away from your life. It can also be used to take a curse and throw it back at the person who sent it at you. It's a great to sprinkle across doorways and window sills outside to protect yourself, and personally I keep a small bottle of it in a woven hang by my bedroom door along with other protective elements :)
