can’t sleep? that’s okay little one, these things happen! here’s some things to try and focus on as you’re dozing off to help you fall asleep peacefully without thinking about the things which may be bothering you!
critter dreams: imagine that when you sleep you become a critter. what critter do you transform into? how does it feel? what will you do and where will you go?
waking up in a far away place: you wake up in bed but it’s not your bed, it’s in your favourite movie. you meet all your favourite characters and go on adventures with them! what will you all do?
a special shopping trip: money isn’t a problem, you can go anywhere and get anything! what will you buy? picture each of the items one by one, where did you buy them? you can imagine a real shop or make one up!

Caring for Littles From a Distance
❤Say good morning and good night
💙Keep track of your little's timezone
❤Ask about your little's day
💙Send cute pictures, videos throughout the day
❤Check in a lot (make sure your little is eating, drinking enough, going to bed on time, etc)
💙If you can't talk when your little texts, say you'll get back to the little as soon as you can instead of ignoring the little
❤Send worksheets and coloring pages for the little to do
💙Preschedule text messages if you know you won't be able to talk for a while
❤Be willing to listen and act accordingly
💙Be able to tell when your little is lying
❤Praise your little for doing a good job
💙Help your little regress when needed
❤Skype when you can
💙Set up a reward system (i.e. favorite snack, later bedtime, etc)
