when you're scared/nervous of posting anime/manga canon x oc content because of the overwhelming preference of canon x reader

i love to write ocs because it's something i've been doing since elementary school (ages ago...leave me aloneeeee i'm old), but it's a solid blow to the gut when you come across posts/comments about people putting ocs down for being self-inserts or not having the description of said oc (eye/hair color, body type, etc), hence why the focus is shifting more to canon x reader instead; after all...and this is just for example's sake...what would you rather read: satoru gojo x oc OR satoru gojo x reader.

everyone is entitled to read/enjoy what they want, and it's hard when you, the writer/creator, see what preference is...well...prevalent in the writing community and you only write in one style.

falestine's home was destroyed by the idf and her and her family have been made homeless. she recently gave birth to her son yousef during the war and had to immediately move into a tent where there is no access to clean water, food, sanitation, or really anything that a newborn child or mother need. so many women in gaza have had to give birth in the absolute worst conditions that are extremely dangerous, so it is urgent to raise money for this family. prices for everyday items like food and clean water are exorbitantly high and every donation can make a difference. her elderly parents are both suffering from health issues and need treatment that is simply unavailable in gaza right now. its so horrific that so many people have lost everything, so please donate and help this family.

So, this is the first time that i publish something that i writed, is part of a gojo x OC series that i just started to write. I hope somebody like its, and if someone could give feedback i'd really appreciate it, i just learned english based on fanfiction.

When Satoru woke up that morning in the hotel room, he was alone. Or that's what he thought, until he saw the cherry strands of hair of the woman that slept with him last night, moving along with the breeze that came from the opened crystal doors that lead to the balcony.

“Why are you awake?”asked Gojou, his voice heavy with sleep, his head still smothered against the pillow “we still have time before the check-out” said, closing his eyes again hoping to sleep some more.

We still have time before going back. 

Just then the woman looked back at him, with a pained expression adorning her already made up face, freckles hiding behind her foundation. “I told you I wanted to talk last night” said the redhead almost whispering, like she was afraid of waking up the rest of the hotel “you know, before you tossed me to the bed” 

“‘bout what?” 

“About us” now he was fully awake, he even sat on the bed, leaving the sheets uncovering his defined torso and arms. Gojou stared at her in silence, expecting her to continue. Leaving a sigh, she elaborated “I’m…i’m starting to, you know” 

“No, I actually don’t know, Yume” it was too fucking early to be having this type of conversation.

“I’mgettingattached” said Yume fast, looking at the wall and avoiding his eyes at all costs. “We talked about this at the start, but I-I just couldn't help it.” she rambled, trying to clarify her feelings. “I think we should end things here.”

“You think that is the best?”

“Of course it is.” She sighed, still ignoring the troubled look that Satoru was giving her. End things here? but we were just fine last night. Yume walked around the room in the really, really uncomfortable silence, waiting for him to tell the contrary, to tell that she misunderstood his actions, that he wanted to give it a try. Anything but the silence. 

But the answer never came. 

So that's how is it? huh.

I’m gonna say this ONCE MORE with feeling because somehow it’s still a surprise to people apparently...

I am a proshipper.

All that means is that I do not support (and will actively fight against) judgment, censorship, or bullying over fictional content. It does not mean I condone immoral things being done in real life. In fact, it means the opposite— that I will never harass real people over fictional content or allow threats or suicide bating to occur because of it.

If anyone has told you that proshipping is something else, you’ve been lied to. You do not have to read/write/draw dark content in order to be an adult and curate your space. If you don’t enjoy a specific thing, you filter/block/move on without calling anyone names or accusing them of being a horrible human being. It is that simple.

Censorship of immoral content is a slippery slope and has historically been used to hurt the LGBT+ community. Don’t buy into the idea that erasing things you dislike is a better solution than just choosing to look away if something doesn’t appeal to you.

I’m not even going to go into the argument of people using this sort of content to cope with trauma because nobody has to prove anything or have a reason for engaging with fiction, but maybe hold off on assuming you know why anyone chooses to engage with something others might find disturbing.

I’ve read hardcore dead dove fics that are less disturbing than things I’ve experienced in my actual life. Nobody gets to tell me how to cope and heal, thanks💛
