Can you believe that Sansa Stark brought thousands of Northern soldiers and parked them outside the gates to save her man from being executed?
George Washington and Keion (White Horse)
I am a political historian and love to think about what form various historical figures dæmons might take, and so I thought I might start doing my own historical head cannons every now and then. Since tomorrow is constitution day here in the U.S. Washington seemed like an appropriate start. These are not really meant to be political or in-depth, just a brief sketch of why the person is famous and their character followed by their dæmon. This was a lot of fun to put together, so if anyone has ideas for who to do next please send them in.
Though certainly not perfect, Washington is one of the most famous and celebrated figures in history. In his lifetime he led the United States in its rebellion against the British empire, chaired the nation’s constitutional convention, and served as the US’s first president. He is widely hailed as the father of his country, and many historians believe his extraordinary willpower and reputation for virtue can be credited with holding the fledgling country together in its earliest days.
A white horse is the perfect fit for Washington. Horses are usually associated with freedom, dignity, power, and high aims. All of this fits the major narratives of Washington’s life. A white horse in particular, puts one in mind of a magnanimous figure who works as a celebrated military leader and statesmen. I can just imagine him riding his magnificent dæmon across the battlefield.
I have given his dæmon an Ancient Greek name which means nobility, which seems very fitting.
