Swifties were left baffled after Taylor Swift’s former bestie, Karlie Kloss, was spotted in the stands during the “Bad Blood” artist’s last night of her Eras Tour stop in Los Angeles, despite rumors of a falling out between the two. But an insider exclusively tells Life & Style that the ladies are now “on good terms.”
“Taylor and Karlie never confirmed or denied they weren’t friends anymore so to see Karlie at her concert was a beautiful gift that everyone was happy to witness,” the source says just hours after the supermodel, 31, was seen at SoFi stadium on Wednesday, August 9. “The last time they were seen together was in 2018 so clearly something must have happened. And Taylor didn’t go to her wedding either, she was on tour in Australia at the time. Apparently it wasn’t a major falling out, they were just on a ‘friends break.’”
The source close to Taylor, 33, added, “We might never know the real reason, but whatever their differences were, that’s all water under the bridge now.”
Swifties were quick to take note of Karlie’s seats, which were in the upper bowl as opposed to the VIP tent where many other celebs have been spotted. However, the insider revealed that “Taylor was very happy to see Karlie at the show.”
“As far as I know, they chatted afterwards and made plans to see each other in the future,” they continued. “Bottom line, they’re on good terms again and the Swifties are loving it.”

I just, we all needed our methods of escapism, and that was one of mine. I just kind of needed to create, not just an album, but folklore was a state of mind for me. And when I was writing these songs, I also kind of took a little vacation from the way that I usually write. I usually write about something I have personally gone through, and exactly how I felt about that, you know? So it was kind of fun to be able to write an album and sort of be like, 'Okay, maybe with this one, we'll sort of fictionalize it a little bit. I'll create characters. I can name them different things, and maybe we can have these different story arcs.' And there are a few songs that go together. There's this like, teenage love triangle threesome arc. And so I. created a story between those three characters, and you know, when I would try to come up with names, it was just easiest for me to pull names from my real life, so the names that were actually named after real people that I love very much were James, Inez, and Betty!"

"I think “the lakes” sort of sounds like a testament of what I’ve wanted to escape from and where I saw myself escaping. We’d gone to the Lake District in England a couple years ago — In the 19th century, you had a lot of poets, like William Wordsworth and John Keats would spend a lot of time there. There was a poet district, these artists moved there were kind of heckled for it and made fun of for it as being these eccentrics and these kind of odd artists who decided that they just wanted to live there. I remember when we went, I thought, “Man, I could see this. You live in a cottage and you’ve got wisteria growing up the outside of it. Of course they escaped like that, of course they would do that.” And they had their own community of other artists who had done the same thing. In my career, since I was probably about 20, written about this sort of cottage backup plan that I have. “the lakes” is really talking a lot about relating to people who, hundreds of years ago, had the same exit plan and did it. I went to William Wordsworth’s grave, just sat there and I was like, “Wow, you went and did it, you just did it. You just went away and you kept writing, but you didn’t subscribe to the things that were killing you.” And that’s really the overarching thing that I felt when I was writing folklore is, I may not be able to go to the Lakes right now, or to go anywhere, but I’m going there in my head, and this escape plan is working. I thought [this song] would be the perfect way to slot the last puzzle piece in, right when people least expected it. Because “hoax” as the ending song for the record, I thought was interesting for a couple weeks, but then I wanted to actually come in with the real last song of the record, which is “the lakes”, that’s kind of the overarching theme of the whole album, of trying to escape, having something you wanna protect, trying to protect your own sanity, and saying, “Look, they did this hundreds of years ago. I’m not the first person who’s felt this way, they did this.”

First things first, happy Pride Month, everyone! On this tour, I get to look out into the most stunningly beautiful, brilliant crowds of people who are living their authentic lives. They are loving who they want to love, they are identifying how they identify, and allies who get to support them in and celebrate them in that. It’s the most beautiful experience for me to look out into the crowds on this tour, I’m looking out tonight, I’m seeing so many incredible individuals who are living authentically and beautifully and this is a safe space for you. This is a celebratory space for you and one of the things that makes me feel so prideful is getting to be with you and watching you interact with each other, being so loving and so thoughtful and so caring and so being with you during pride month, getting to sing the words to ‘You Need To Calm Down’ where there are lyrics like “can you just not step on his gown?” or “shade never made anybody less gay”, and you guys are screaming those lyrics in such solidarity, in such support of one another, in such encouraging, beautiful acceptance and peace and safety and I wish that every place was safe and beautiful for people in the lgbtq community, I really wish that. Cause we can’t talk about pride month without talking about pain. Right now, and recently and in the recent years there have been so many harmful pieces of legislation that have put people in the lgbtq community at risk. It’s painful for everyone, every ally, every loved one, every person in these communities and thats why I’m always posting this is when the midterms are, this is when these important key primaries are, cause we can support as much as we want during pride month, but if we’re not doing our research on these elected officials, are they advocates? are they allies? are they protectors of equality? Do I want to vote for them? I love you guys so much. Happy Pride month, I just adore you. I really do.
