very quick pentheus wearing the necklace of harmonia
on insta i love to share the works of the artists i like on my stories and i wanted to do something similar here too, so if you are interested i've made a side blog only for this purpose -> girlvasari
Your art is so beautiful!!! Also it reminds me of coraline the animated movie have you ever drawn her or the other mother?
thank you so much!! 💌
it is interesting because you are not the first person that says that my art reminds them of coraline, despite it never having been one of my references — but i used to love the movie and especially the book as a kid, so it is an honor if my work gets associated with them :) anyway no, I have never created anything coraline-related before, but if you want I’ve made these extremely quick sketches (I would have liked to draw something more elaborated, but unfortunately in this period I have very little time for art and this is the only thing I can offer)
this is something i made for a challenge with a group of friends — we wanted to combine the design of some majokkos with the clothing of a randomly generated historical period and i got the middle ages, so i tried (with many artistic liberties) to adapt the gothic fashion to mew mint
sorry for not having been posting lately. i have some pieces i'm working on but i'm also using the majority of my free time to work on a university dissertation and for this reason i'm making extremely slow progress on my art ): i hope i will be able to draw regularly again very soon because there are so many concepts i can't wait to put on paper
a friend of mine just made me notice that he followed me, but i received no notification and i couldn't find a list of my followers anywhere, is this normal? :/ i had to ask him for his profile name in order to follow him back
if someone has storygraph and is interested, this is my profile ⭐

dear people who follow me, a heartfelt thank you for all the support you have given me this year!! i do not have a big audience, but i’m honest when i say that i am extremely grateful for how thoughtful and kind the one i have is. i read every comment and message that you leave under my paintings, and they really make me feel happy about my art and comfortable with experimenting with new subjects and styles. i feel that in this moment of my life both my art style and the concepts behind my pieces are switching to something more deliberate, and i’m excited at the prospect to explore this new creative path in 2024 and to share the results with you
may the new year bring you clarity and serenity. thank you again 💌

i'm trying to learn how to paint traditionally and this is my first attempt with acrylics - it is a bit all over the place but i don't hate it?

I'm Italian too, may you share what you wrote with the sketches about Pentheus and Dionysus? I'm curious about your notes
they are for sure lecture notes taken in uni, but they are from two years ago and so i'm not certain about the class they relate to... i see that they mention Pietro Bembo and in the timelapse on my ipad i can read the name of Lionello Venturi in a part that in the final version got covered, so they are very likely notes from a course about the history of art criticism. unfortunately at the moment i do not have the notebook on hand, but this weekend i have to return to my parents' house and there i will see if i manage to find it and to make some decent photos!
grazie ancora 🌷
