MC x Mammon is the Smart/Nerd x Stupid/Idiot trope but the roles are interchangeable and they each are a very specific type of stupid (& smart) and by that I mean

MC is the "in front of the class trying to solve a math problem, looks back at mammon, sees him holding up the answer & proceeds to draw mammon holding up the answer on the board" kind of stupid

While Mammon is the "looks at MC mouthing "not guilty" during his trial and says "hot milky" with full confidence" kind of stupid

They can both occasionally be stupid at the same time but if they're both smart at the same time the world implodes

A vertically-oriented comic. Ford answers the phone, but is interrupted by an automated message that states: “This call is coming from the Theraprism. Cipher, Bill is attempting to contact you.” Ford startles, looking extremely distressed. The message continues: “To accept this call, press 1. To decline…” The message is interrupted with a “beep” as Ford, expression a mix between panicked and furious, presses a button on the receiver. There is a click, but before Bill can say anything, Ford yells “kill yourself” at the top of his lungs and hangs up. In the final panel, Bill stares into space as the disconnect tone plays.

It makes sense from a narrative perspective and it's totally in character for Gabriel but I cannot imagine buying an Alliance ring and having to pick between a 14 year old girl or a boy as an avatar.
