spn meme | 7 femslash pairings [7/7] | ↳ Hannah x Kim | ♫
for mrs-pants47 ♥
Hannah is an angel sent to earth to learn about humanity. Her brother Castiel acts as a guide, helping her adjust to life on earth by getting her a job in a bookstore he’s cultivated and teaching her how to act around humans. She’s been learning to drive, but she can’t seem to get used to the confines of vehicles. After an accident where she requires a mechanic to tow Castiel’s car, she meets Kim. Kim is kind enough to allow Hannah to stay with her and her daughter for the night as Hannah waits for Castiel to pick her up. Kim and her daughter begin to frequent the bookstore. Hannah jumps at the chance to chat with the mechanic who acted as her savior. Over time, Hannah finds herself facing a dilemma Castiel never mentioned; Hannah doesn’t know what to do about the human feelings she has whenever she’s around Kim.
"You really don’t mind that I’m not…’street smart?’"
Castiel taught Hannah how to use air quotes a week ago and Hannah revels in finding opportunities to incorporate it into conversation.
Kim laughs lightly. Kim pushes Hannah’s hair behind her ear. Hannah closes her eyes at the touch.
"You’re genuine, selfless… My daughter adores you."
Hannah smiles. When she opens her eyes, she finds Kim has stepped closer to her. Hannah gives into the instinct she has of tilting her head to share air with Kim.
"No," Kim says, seemingly breathless. "I don’t mind that you’re not street smart."

I doodled Carol Danvers flirting with a bodybuilder pose and I have only regrets
30 Day Comic Book Challenge Day Fourteen: Current Comic-Themed Wallpaper
My current wallpaper is a piece by the lovely Marcio Takara (Link) of the heroine Captain Marvel. I have long been a fan of Carol Danvers, and Mr. Takara’s piece really captures everything I love about the look. Since I don’t know what else to say for this post, what follows is my analysis of the piece and why I love it.
First off, I’m a huge fan of Marcio Takara. The man can draw really pretty pictures, and if you check out this tumblr you’ll see his versatility. This piece shows his use of color, really making the uniform of the newly minted Captain Marvel pop. In fact, I would go so far as to say that this is one of my favorite colorings of the uniform, giving it a realism you don’t often see.
In addition, the grace of the pose highlights both the femininity of the character as well as the power she commands. You look at Captain Marvel here and you see somebody who will mess you up good if you don’t follow the law.
However, my favorite part of the commission is the way that Takara draws Carol’s hair. My favorite part of the redesign from Ms. Marvel to Captain Marvel is the re-imagining of Carol’s hair, making her more distinct and recognizable in the line-up of Marvel’s finest. Here, Takara takes it a step further and makes it clear that Carol isn’t just using some fancy hair gel and that she’s got a fresh cut to go with her fresh outfit. Pretty slick.
End rant. Here’s another link to the original piece.
