More Than A Service || Mechanic!Stucky

It was the weekend and you were ready to unwind. Being single, depressingly so, you decided to head out to the many clubs on and around Atlantic Ave with the hope of finding at least one cute guy. Even just exchanging numbers would ease some of the need you had to socialise with the opposite sex, so that was your goal.

The first club you got to wasn’t quite to your taste, the music not a genre you would usually listen to. But, it was happy hour so you stayed for the cheap drinks and felt yourself begin to relax. You had just returned from the ladies room and found a handsome man occupying the stool beside the one you had claimed as your own and he smiled when you sat down beside him.

“Having a good night?” He asked with a polite smile on his face, a dark blond beard shaping his face perfectly. The bartender had your refill ready and placed it down in front of you as the man pulled out his wallet. “I’ll have another and I’ll get this gorgeous lady’s drink as well.”

“You don’t have to do that.” You said as he waved it off.

You didn’t want to give him the idea that you could be bought into a night between the sheets as so many men had assumed would be the case when they paid for your drinks. On the other hand, the man looked built for some damn good sex and you couldn’t deny the sweet reminder between your legs as you shifted on your perch.

“I want to.” He said as he swivelled around to face you. “I will admit, I do have an ulterior motive.”

“Of course you do.” You sighed under your breath.

“See, my friends were meant to meet me here but they’re running late and it would really ruin my image if I’m sat alone at the bar.” His serious image cracked into a smile that had you laughing before he held his hand out. “I’m Steve.”

“Y/n.”

His hands were, for lack of a better word, manly. They were large and engulfed yours, his palms calloused from years of manual labour with them and you watched his biceps flex beneath his tight shirt. If you would hazard a guess you assumed he was a builder given his strength and you were once again reminded of the deep ache in your core at the thought of him wielding a hammer.

“I haven’t seen you around before. You live near here?”

“Yeah, but I don’t get out much.” You said as he sipped from his bottle of beer. “My mom said I need to get out more or resign myself to adopting 40 cats.”

His beer threatened to come out his nose as he choked and spluttered on the laugh lodged in his throat. You felt terrible as you leapt forward and clapped him on the back a few times while he recovered.

“I’m sorry.” You apologised as he grabbed a napkin and dabbed his lips with a shake of his head.

“Don’t be.” He reassured you with a hand on yours. “I like the honesty. It’s refreshing.”

His eyes turned sad for a moment before whatever ghost had haunted him left and he realised he was still holding your hand. You didn’t mind at all as his cold hand warmed against your skin but he pulled away to wave at a couple of guys walking in.

“Did you want to come join us?” Steve asked as they approached the bar but you shook your head with a small smile.

“I’m going to head off but you have a good night.” You felt safe with Steve but you didn’t want to put yourself into a predicament by drinking with three very strong strangers. “But, um, if you wanted to grab another drink sometime when you don’t have other plans, I would be up for that.”

Steve’s eyes lit up as he nodded eagerly and grabbed another napkin. He wrote his number down quickly and placed the paper securely in your hand, closing your fist around it.

“I’m definitely up for that.” He promised. “And let me know that you got home safe, pretty woman like yourself shouldn’t be walking around alone. Actually, do you want me to walk you to a taxi?”

You smiled as he worried over you and placed a calming hand to his bulging bicep. “I’m fine, Steve. Relax with your friends and I promise I’ll text you when I get home.”

“Alright then, y/n. Have a good night.” He nodded, watching you retreat from the bar until his friends blocked your view.

The second you were out of sight you added his number to your phone in case you lost the napkin and smiled the entire way down the street. You were practically walking on sunshine when some pop music caught your fancy as you passed an open bar and you figured one more drink would go down well before you called it a night.

The bar was crowded with more people than you expected waiting to order and you were undecided on whether to stay and wait it out or just leave. The decision was made for you when the line almost biblically parted and you saw an empty stool illuminated by the laser lights. Sneaking through the space, you took a seat while waiting for the bartender to make his way down the line.

“You might be waiting a while, doll. Service is pretty slack.” You looked over to the figure sitting beside you and found a handsome man smiling coyly at you as he ran a thick, ringed finger around the rim of his empty tumbler. “I was about to leave but I think I might just stick around now. I’m Bucky.”

For the second time tonight you found yourself bathing in the attention of a handsome man. His hand was cold from the icy glass he had been holding and he had held on just a little too long for it to be just a friendly handshake. “You got a name, or should I just keep calling you doll?”

“It’s y/n.” You said as the butterflies in your tummy took flight all over again. “But I could get used to doll too.”

“Good, because it suits you.” He winked before nodding your head to the bartender who had stopped in front of you. “You must be a good luck charm, they haven’t come down this end of the bar for the last 15 minutes.”

“I’m about 15 years overdue for some good luck, it’s about time things turned around.” You admitted with a laugh before ordering your drink and Bucky’s too so he didn’t have to wait. He was quicker than you to drop the money on the bar and he smirked as it was taken by the bartender before you could protest, the note large enough to buy four more of the cocktails.

“Keep the change man.” Bucky said to the bartender, a grateful smile thrown his way before the man rushed back to the next patron.

“That was very generous of you.” You smiled, remembering the days you had worked in hospitality.

“I appreciate an honest day's work.” He shrugged nonchalantly. “You couldn’t pay me enough to do what they do.”

You followed his glare to a group of young men, who looked barely legal, surrounding a hostess that was trying to work but they kept blocking her way. You sighed feeling sorry for the woman, she clearly wasn’t interested in them but it didn’t seem to be stopping them from trying.

“Why isn’t anybody doing anything?” You frowned as you looked for the bouncer before Bucky jumped off his stool.

You couldn’t tell how tall he was when he was sitting but he was half a head above most of the patrons as he sauntered towards the group of offenders. You grabbed your drinks, not wanting them to be spiked if you left them but also not wanting Bucky to get in trouble alone. You struggled to keep up with his long strides but focused on his broad back straining against the fitted shirt he wore before shamelessly trailing down to his tight jeans.

“Hey, leave her alone, she’s just trying to do her job.” Bucky growled as he pushed his way between two of them and put himself between her and the men. “I think you should find some other place to party tonight.”

You sagged with relief when you spotted two bouncers making their way into the tense situation but the relief was short lived as they pointed to everyone in the vicinity and ordered them out, including Bucky.

“He was just trying to help her.” You said as you stepped into the conversation and pointed at Bucky. “Since you guys didn’t seem to be doing anything.”

The bouncer towering over you cocked an eyebrow at the taunt before waving a hand at everyone, including you this time, and jabbed his thumb to the door. “Out. Now.”

An arm curled around your waist and Bucky’s drink was taken from your fingers and you found him finishing it before placing the empty glass on the hostess’s tray. “Sorry, doll, I didn’t mean to ruin your night.”

“Are you kidding me?” You laughed, following his actions and finishing your cocktail. “It’s nice to know there’s still decent guys out there.”

“I’m heading down the road to meet up with some friends, did you want to join me?”

You chewed your lip as you wanted to say yes but your feet were killing you and the buzz you had earlier had disappeared with the thought of the fight. “Can I take a raincheck? I was actually heading home when I walked past this bar.”

“Well, I’m glad you did.” He said as he stopped outside under the awning of the bar. “How about lunch this week? It might be less dramatic.”

“Less drama sounds good to me.” You chuckled and accepted his phone that he held out, adding your number to his contacts and sending yourself a message. “Let me know what day works for you.”

He grinned as he took the device and felt it buzz with a notification. “I’d make any day work for you, doll. I, um, have to go before these guys send a search party for me. I’ll see you next week.”

“It’s a date.”

His smile grew even wider as he walked away, a little bounce in his step as he replied to Steve that he was on his way.

“I don’t know what to do.” You complained to your mom as she sipped her coffee and pondered what advice she could offer.

“Sorry, sweetpea, I really don’t know what to say other than to trust your gut.”

“But they are both so amazing, and funny, and nice.” You huffed in frustration. “I really like both of them. Steve is honestly the most caring and considerate guy. And Bucky, he’s selfless and sweet. And they are both drop dead gorgeous and mechanics too, so you know they are good with their hands.”

“You’ve got yourself in a little pickle then don’t you sweetheart.” You mom said as she patted your hand gently. “But you can’t keep stringing them both along, that’s not fair on anyone. You’ll have to choose soon, before it gets too serious.”

“Ughhh, this isn’t helping mom. I have so much on my plate right now. Tomorrow I have breakfast with Steve then dinner with Bucky, then I have this project due and on top of that the light in my car still hasn’t gone away.”

“Honey, it needs a service, you can’t just drive around with the engine check light on for months.” Your mother tutted. “There’s a place on 3rd Ave near South Slope, the girls I play bridge with rave about it. Brooklyn something, Boys? I don’t know, use that interweb thing to search for it.”

You nodded along, half checked out of the conversation as your mind wandered back to your dating predicament. You knew everything your mom had said made sense but the thought of having to choose one over the other left you feeling sick to your stomach.

“One less thing to worry about.”

You looked up from the cold coffee you had been staring out of focus at, a stain ringing around the mug. “What’s that?”

“Talking to myself again.” She sighed as she showed you her phone. “I found them, The Brooklyn Boys, and booked you in. It’s amazing all the things you can do on the line.”

“Online.” You muttered as you took her phone and sent yourself the booking details so you could drop it off. “Thanks mom.”

“That’s what I’m here for. Glorified receptionist.” She teased. “One step up from being your maid when you lived at home. I should get going if I want to make it home before dark, my eyesight isn’t quite what it used to be.”

“Let me walk you out, I could do with some fresh air to clear my head.” You said as you placed the mugs in the sink and grabbed a jacket.

“Let me know which one you choose, oh and send me photos.”

The ache in your stomach came back at the reminder and you nodded sullenly as you followed her out of your apartment.

Your breakfast and dinner dates went so well that you were even more confused and hurt at the thought of having to choose one. You had resorted to leaving their messages on read as they tried to organise another date and that left you feeling even worse because you missed talking with them. You could still feel the tingle of their kiss lingering on your lips and it felt natural to want to take things further, to establish a relationship and see where it led. But you selfishly wanted a relationship with both men.

You were so deep in your thoughts you almost missed the sign for the automotive shop but pulled into the last parking spot on the lot.

“How’d your dinner go?” Steve asked as he wiped his hands on a rag and turned to see Bucky’s feet poking out from under a Civic.

“I thought it went well but I think she’s ghosting me.” Bucky sighed as he rolled out and dropped his wrench into a toolbox with a little more force than necessary. “I don’t know what I did wrong.”

Steve chuffed and wrapped the rag tightly around his fist. “We can’t seem to catch a break can we?”

“You too, shit.” Bucky shook his head. “I’m sorry man.”

“Me too.” Steve muttered, hearing the buzz of a customer entering the workshop. “Plenty more fish in the sea, right?”

“Yeah, I guess.” Bucky was unconvinced but shrugged it off as he followed Steve to the counter so he could call the car's owner and give them the bad news. “I just thought we really had a connection.”

You looked up from your phone after getting the booking number and almost dropped the device as you came face to face with Steve and Bucky, both looking as stunned as you. Your lips parted like a guppy gasping for air which suddenly seemed too thick to inhale as your worst nightmare came to life.

“Hey doll.” Bucky recovered first and smiled as he stepped closer. “You had me worried when you didn’t call me back.”

“Doll?” Steve laughed nervously. “She’s your doll?”

“Steve…” You choked as you looked between them.

“Wait, you know Steve?” Bucky frowned and looked at his best friend looking at you. “This is the girl from the bar?”

“Oh sweet jesus, I should have adopted a fucking cat.” You groaned as you backed up to the door.

Steve shook his head with a relieved laugh that froze you before you could push the door open. “We should talk in our office.”

Your eyes flickered between the two of them, half expecting the testosterone to turn explosive. “You’re not…angry?”

“What?” Bucky’s frown deepened into a scowl. “Why would we be angry?”

“Because you and I.” You waved your arms around the triangle. “And me and him.”

“Sweetheart, relax.” Steve soothed, nodding to the door that said OFFICE. “I can’t speak for Bucky but I’m just relieved you're okay. When you stopped replying, I…I’m just glad you’re okay.”

Bucky placed his hand on your lower back and urged you to follow Steve as he unlocked the office door. Twin desks faced opposite walls and a couch sat against the back wall, the whole room looking really tidy considering it was two mechanics who used it.

“Have a seat, doll.”

You sat nervously on the middle seat, feeling their heat radiating from them as they sat down beside you. The bulk of their bodies should have overwhelmed you, made you feel small, but instead you felt comfortable. It was the same comfort that you had when you were with them individually.

Bucky sat back and draped his arm across your shoulder like did when he walked with you through the park after your first date. You looked at Steve from under your lashes and found no jealousy or restraint anger as he reached for your hand and laced his fingers with yours. After a few deep breaths, you finally regulated your breathing and asked the question burning in your brain.

“What is going on?”

“Showing you that it’s okay.” Bucky said casually as if he were commenting on the weather.

“I’m so confused.” You mumbled under your breath. “I just needed a service.”

“You got more than that.” Steve chuckled with a reassuring squeeze of his hand. “Now feel free to stop me at any point but I think it’s fair to assume you like the both of us.”

You nodded as you closed your eyes, feeling the pressure of societal norms weighing on your shoulders.

“And from what Bucky’s said, and what I know, I can tell you the feeling is mutual.” Steve affirmed.

“We aren’t asking you to choose, if that’s something that’s worrying you.” Bucky added. “Steve’s my best friend, he’s a great guy so I get why you went out with him.”

“And Bucky is the most supportive partner you could ever have.” Steve smiled proudly over your shoulder. “So the question is, what do you want to do now?”

Your head was spinning at the onslaught of information that your brain couldn’t seem to comprehend. On one hand you really hoped you were understanding what was going on but you didn’t want to risk making another mistake with the two of them. Sitting up straighter you cleared your throat and bit your lip as you worked up your courage. “What exactly are you saying?”

Bucky took your other hand and leant in so he could give you the kiss he had been dying to since he saw you in the shop. You melted as his tongue rolled across your lip begging entrance that you indulged in before he pulled away breathless. “Don’t choose between us.”

Steve cradled your cheek in his hand and turned you to face him. His kind eyes sent your heart racing as they broke away from your gaze to look at your swollen lips before he couldn’t resist having his own taste of them. Their hands on your body, the taste of their kids, it was too much and your brain could barely function when he pulled away. “Choose both of us.”

Your head was nodding with all your thoughts of consideration and deliberation gone with the wind. It felt right, feeling their hands in yours, their heated stares setting your blood on fire. Even if you had time to think you knew you still wouldn’t be able to choose because they were both what you needed, two sides of the same coin that you could never flip.

“I want you both.” You admitted as you shifted in your seat. “But I don’t want this to affect your friendship.”

“It won’t.” Bucky assured you as he looked at Steve. “Promise.”

Steve nodded and slapped Bucky affectionately on his shoulder. “Promise.”

“Oh god.” You gasped as you clamped a hand over your mouth. “How am I going to explain this to my mom?”

Hands That Heal - Ch.7

RECAP: “I don’t think you know how to do anything wrong, do you?” You said your goodbyes and began to walk the dark track back to the car. He stopped to think and your amusement grew as he couldn’t answer and just shrugged with a lopsided smile. “I’m sure you’ll point it out to me if you find something.”

━━━━━━♡♥♡━━━━━━

“Hey Hercules, bring those muscles over here.” You called as you pointed to the delivery of parts that had just arrived.

Bucky shucked his jacket off in the hot afternoon sun and lifted the heavy boxes before stacking them back in the corner of your garage and taking his payment in kisses. You stole the flick knife from his back pocket and grinned as you cut through the packaging and pulled the panels you had been waiting weeks for.

“I hope you don’t mind but I made a few adjustments to the order.” You said as you pulled the final pieces out to complete his motorbike, his eyebrows shooting up at the two 6 inch black rods in your hands and he frowned as you ran them along his chest. “Relax big guy, you’re more than enough for me. They are passenger pegs, so I can ride with you.”

His smile split his face as he realised what you were talking about and he bit his lip as you bent over to screw them into place and showed him the next change. You had replaced the single seat with a longer one so there was space for you and the panels all locked into place before you stepped back to admire the piece.

“I can’t believe it.” He choked up as he saw his bike rebuilt better than before and wrapped his arms around your waist as he pressed his lips to yours. “You are fucking amazing, you know that.”

“Should we take her for a spin?”

It took a moment for you to dig your helmet and riding jacket from the bottom of your closet and you had to wipe the layer of dust that had gathered in the 5 years since you last wore it. The jacket was a little tighter than before but you still managed to zip it up and immediately felt your body heat getting trapped in the leather. Turning around to look in the mirror, you could see the faint change in colour where a ‘property of’ patch had once laid but you had unpicked it as soon as you heard what Axel had done.

“You done staring?” You asked as you caught Bucky leaning against the doorframe watching you dress.

“Never.”

━━━━━━♡♥♡━━━━━━

You couldn’t remember feeling this free or elated when you had ridden with Axel, it was a completely different experience. You fit perfectly behind Bucky, feeling safe and secure as he sped along the highway and you cheered with glee as he revved the engine and tested its agility with perfect precision. It didn’t matter where he was taking you because just getting to hold him on the open road was enough for you.

An hour later the sun was setting and after the large loop of the city you were almost back to the Bronx. The traffic lights were not in your favour as Bucky came to a stop at another red light and your stomach dropped at the sight of a pack of motorbikes heading your way. Since the Bronx was Sinner’s territory you doubted another club was just going to be riding through it and so you ducked your head lower behind Bucky and wished he had worn a helmet.

“Shit.” He muttered quietly. “Hold on, doll.”

You looked up over his shoulder to see the group had come to a stop in the middle of the intersection and Axel was dead centre. “Get the fuck off that bike now, y/n.”

“Not gonna happen.” Bucky said with an adamant shake of his head. “She’s done with you, get it through that thick skull of yours.”

Axel laughed humorlessly and turned his eyes to you. “Your ass belongs to me, bitch. You’ll see.”

He nodded his head to President and Rex revved his engine before they all followed suit, leaving the air thick with burnout smoke in their wake. The burnt rubber hurt your lungs but you could soon breathe again as Bucky ran the light that had turned red again. Just when it seemed like everything was going well, Axel ruined it. It really shouldn’t surprise you, he had been doing it ever since he joined that MC.

You were still in a sense of shock as Bucky parked in your garage and turned the engine off. You sat there in the silence, with your head resting on his shoulder blade and your breath echoing in your helmet.

“You okay, doll?” Bucky asked when you made no effort to move.

“Sometimes I wish I could just leave this city behind.” You sighed longingly but this was your home.

“I know the feeling.” Bucky said with a soft squeeze to your thigh beside his hip. “Come on, you go in and I’ll lock up here.”

You climbed off and shrugged your leather jacket off, draping it over your seat before heading inside to start on dinner. It seemed to be taking Bucky a while to just lock the gate so you stuck your head out the kitchen window and found him pacing the driveway on the phone. You assumed it was Sam, he was about the only person he spoke to besides you.

Leaving him to his call you prepped some vegetables until the screech of tires pierced the air. Rushing back to the window you saw Axel’s pick up outside and something being tossed from it before it sped off down the street. Bucky was already running over, phone call forgotten, and you were sprinting down the stairs wondering what it was.

“Stay back, y/n.” Bucky called out with a pained voice as he saw you running from the garage. “You don’t want to see this.”

Despite his jacket trying to cover the mess you could see the black tail sticking out and you felt the oxygen leave your lungs. Your vision was blurring as you stepped closer, the peek of a brown paw coming into view and Bucky’s blue eyes begging you not to come closer. You fell to your knees on the asphalt street, the rapidly cooling pool of blood soaking your jeans as you pulled his jacket away to see Benny’s lifeless eyes.

A sob ripped through you as you pulled your Benny-boy onto your lap, struggling with his massive weight. He was always so energetic but now he was gone, he was limp and would never give you another lick on your face again. Your fingers brushed over his fur as you promised him all dogs go to heaven, just like the movie you used to watch when he was a puppy.

“The old firehouse off Michigan.” You whispered as you looked up from your bloodstained hands. “That’s where the clubhouse is.”

Bucky nodded, understanding the weight of the information you were giving him but despite the rage simmering beneath the surface of his skin he didn’t just leave. He had been waiting months for you to give him the information, although you were sure he had figured out where it was a long time ago, he was waiting for you to give him permission to go. Instead he helped you to your feet and scooped Benny’s body up off the pavement.

“Did you want me to bury him?” He asked as you kept your hand planted in Benson’s fur while you walked alongside him.

You nodded as you couldn’t trust your voice and led the way to the apple tree Benny used to nap under. The trunk still held the scars Benny had left when he was teething and would chew on the wood despite the mass of toys you bought him. You were left with the memories of raising your good boy as Bucky went to find a shovel in the shed, more tears flowing down your cheeks. If you captured all your tears you were sure you could wash the blood that matted his coat from the gash across his throat.

Bucky squatted beside you as he came back with a shovel and he pressed a kiss to your temple. “He’s going to pay for this, doll. I’m done letting him get away with hurting you.”

“Oh god, what if he hurts Jess next!” Your eyes widened in a panic. “I need to call Chip, he needs to get them out of there.”

Your fingers were fumbling to pull your phone out of your pocket but the blood had made them slippery. Grabbing your hand, Bucky pulled it away so he could reach into your pocket and pull the device out.

“I’ll call Chip, you just stay there.” Bucky said as he unlocked your phone and went through your contacts.

“I’m sorry, Benny, this is all my fault.” You whimpered as Bucky walked around with his back to you. “You didn’t deserve this.”

“Chip’s going to get them now and take them to a cabin up north until I sort this.” He said as he began to dig, his vibranium arm making quick work of the soft soil before stopping and resting on the shovel's handle. “None of this is your fault, y/n.”

“He killed Benny.”

“He’s a sick fuck.”

You nodded and returned to silently stroking Benny while Bucky finished digging the hole. You had promised Benny one day you would bring him home, you just never thought it would be this way.

“Say hi to mom and dad for me.” You whispered as you passed Benny over to Bucky so he could lay him to rest and sobs broke the quiet night as he disappeared beneath the dirt.

You fell into Bucky’s side as he finished patting the dirt down and stabbed the shovel into the grass and held you tight. You didn’t know how you could even cry but somehow they were still leaking from your red eyes and Bucky let you soak his shirt with them before hooking his vibranium arm under your legs and carrying you inside. You could hardly feel anything as he gently pulled your blood soaked clothes from your body and helped you into the shower.

His hands were your strength, holding you up as the water cascades around you, turning pink as it swirled down the drain at your feet. It almost seemed that the horror of the evening was washing away with Benny’s blood and you were slowly waking from the shock. Your arms wrapped around Bucky and you rested your cheek on his shoulder as he grabbed the shampoo and lathered it up in your hair. You had never had someone wash your hair before, it was a profound sense of intimacy you had never experienced and you closed your eyes as you leaned into his touch.

“Thank you.” You spoke softly after he rinsed it away and you could open your eyes.

“You don’t have to thank me.” He said with a kiss. “I’d do anything for you.”

“I know, that’s why I love you.” Your eyes widened as the words slipped from your mouth before you could stop them and you worried that it might have just scared him off, it had only been a few months since you met. But you knew.

His thumbs brushed your cheeks as a slow smile grew on his face and he rested his forehead to yours, sheltering you from the water. “I love you too.”

Sleep took you quickly as Bucky kept you wrapped in his arms like a cocoon, the blankets pulled up to your chin and your head on his chest. You didn’t even dream as exhaustion swallowed you whole but you woke up starving a few hours later, once again remembering you forgot to eat.

The bed was empty when you woke and you frowned as you found Bucky’s side cold. It was only when you heard the bathroom taps running that you sighed and pushed the bedding back. You met Bucky in the hallway as he emerged from the bathroom and he frowned when he saw you standing there.

“What are you doing up, doll?” He asked full of concern. “Did I wake you?”

You shook your head and heard the loud growl of your stomach. “Hungry.”

His eyes softened and he nodded his head to the living room. “You go and get comfortable on the couch, pick a movie and I’ll make you something.”

You did as you were told and laid down but you couldn’t concentrate on the film playing as you watched him move around the kitchen, knowing exactly where everything was. “Move in.”

He spun around with the wooden spoon dripping waffle mixture all over the floor and suddenly you felt foolish but it was too late now you were rambling. “If you want to, of course. I mean, you practically already live here but if…if that is something you would like to do then…I would like that too. And if you don’t, it’s totally fine, and I will forget I opened my mouth.”

“Ok.”

“Wait, what?” You froze as he tossed the wooden spoon in the mixing bowl and leant against the countertop.

“I said ok. Unless you don’t want me to.”

“I do, I really do. Do you?” You asked as you rose from the couch and walked towards the kitchen.

“It feels like home, you feel like home.”

His arms were already open for you as you crashed against his chest and wrapped your arms around his neck. You could hardly kiss him because your lips refused to do anything other than smile against his. He always managed to brighten your dark days, and that was why you knew you wanted to have him around forever.

“Welcome home, Bucky.”

Wait Now I Want A Part 2 Of Family First Or Just How Everyone Else Would React Or Even How Bucky Told

“Sir, I believe someone is trying to bypass my mainframe.” Friday announced as she interrupted the weekly team meeting. “Correction, they have bypassed my mainframe.”

Tony leapt up from his seat at the head of the table and to the control panel of the door, every electrical system was connected to Friday so he double tapped the screen to extend it to full sized. His fingers danced furiously over the screen trying to find what the hackers were after and found the bug in the personal files of his team.

“Shit.” Tony sighed. “Friday, I’m putting you to sleep until I can remove the bug.”

“Manual override complete, goodnight Mr Stark.”

“I need everyone to call your families, get them here ASAP.” Tony ordered as he tossed a basket onto the table. “Until Friday’s clear, don't use your cell phones, hand them over guys. We are going old school. Where did I put those flip phones? Frid-oh.”

“Why do we have to call our family?” Clint asked. “What were they after?”

Tony sighed and gripped the back of his chair as he stood behind it. “They stole the details of your next of kin.”

Bucky’s chair screeched as he stood up abruptly and he looked at his cell phone ringing in the middle of the basket. “I need to take that.”

The restraint in his voice wasn’t missed by some of the team but Tony just shook his head. “Can’t let you do that.”

“You don’t understand.” He growled and Steve stood up to place a calming hand over his shoulder.

“Just give us a minute.” He said as he pulled Bucky away from the table to talk quietly in the corner. “It’s y/n isn’t it, on the file. I thought it was me.”

“It was but she’s my wife, Steve.” Bucky sighed, his eyes flicking back to the phone that was lit up with another call. “And now I might have put her in danger. I need to answer that call.”

“Ok, how about I grab Sam and we go and pick up the girls together, get them somewhere safe.” Steve planned and clapped his best bud on the shoulder.

The plan was set but the second his phone rang with a ringtone, the phone number saved to override silent mode, he lost all thoughts of everything except saving you. Steve tried to block him from reaching the basket on the table but Bucky threw him to the floor and jumped across the table, grabbing the phone and putting it to his head instantly.

“Are you okay?” He rushed as he turned his back on everyone else but the silent room left most of the team able to hear you too.

“Bucky, someone’s here.” His gut clenched at the panic he could hear in your voice, how you sounded when you were being brave and putting on a smile when you were really holding back tears.

“I need you and Sarah to go down to the basement. Lock yourself inside and don’t come out for anyone but me, Steve or Sam.” He said as calmly as he could while he left the room, ignoring the stares he was getting from his team as he sprinted his way to the hangar.

“What’s going on baby?”

“Someone hacked us, they stole almost every piece of information on each of us.” He admitted as he lashed out punching his fist into the hangar wall beside him. “I’m so fucking sorry, I think they know about you, about Sarah.”

The line went silent for a moment and his hand trembled as he looked to make sure the call was still connected. “We are going to go treasure hunting downstairs ok sweetie.”

“That’s not daddy is it?” Sarah’s quiet voice was just picked up by the microphone and he almost crushed the phone as he heard his baby girl’s scream, swearing he would kill everyone that stepped foot in his house.

“Daddy’s coming, Sarah.” He promised as the line began to crackle, knowing they were almost in the basement where it was safe but no cell signal. “I love you both so much. I’m on my way.”

“We love - too.”

The screen of his phone cracked as his fist held it too tight waiting for the hangar doors to open and the rest of his team caught up except Steve who had stuck by his side.

“You have a family.” Natasha stated as she followed him through the narrow gap of the hangar door and towards the quinjet. “And Sam and Steve know.”

“Yes.” He growled and turned to see the others looking at him expectantly. “Can we not do this now?”

“On board, now.” Tony ordered as he pointed to the jet. “You can explain on the way.”

Everyone strapped into the seats except the super soldiers who stood at the top of the ramp, ready to dive out the second they were close enough.

“We need an address.” Natasha said as the quinjet was ready for take off.

Bucky strode over to the panel and entered his home address, set in the countryside where he foolishly thought it would be away from the drama and threat.

“Hmm, pictured you for the suburban Brooklyn type.” She commented as her and Clint piloted the jet towards the address. “Three minutes ETA.”

“Get talking.” Tony said as he crossed his arms.

“Leave it Tony, it can wait until after.” Steve asserted, his own arms crossing as tensions rose.

“I want to know who I am saving.” He countered.

“What does it matter, saving people is what we do.”

“She’s my wife, y/n, and Sarah’s our daughter.” Bucky confessed, not wanting another fight in the team over him. “We met in Bucharest.”

“When you were still Hydra. Is she Hydra? Is that why you kept her a secret?” Tony asked, stepping closer with every accusation and Steve just caught Bucky before he could attack.

“She’s not fucking Hydra!” Bucky growled as he pushed Steve away. “She has nothing to do with any of this, that is why I kept her and Sarah secret. I thought they would be safe.”

Bucky saw his house coming up ahead and hit the button to release the ramp. He had either explained enough that the team would help him or he was going in alone, but nothing was going to stop him getting to you. Steve stepped up beside him and watched the familiar land pass by beneath them.

“You don’t have to get in the middle of things again, I can handle Tony on my own.” Bucky said.

“I’m with you till the end of the line pal.”

“Need a lift?” Sam asked as he stepped up beside them and grabbed the back of their clothes. “Or do you want to face dive again?”

“Let’s go.” Steve nodded and the three of them jumped off the ramp.

“I have some bad news.” He murmured quietly as he ran his hand up and down your arm and kissed your forehead.

“You got blood on the carpet.” You tried to joke but your voice failed to hold any humour.

“That too.” He said, the ghost of a smile tipping up at your attempt. “There’s some more people I want you to meet.”

“Who else came with you?” You asked, worried about even more people knowing but grateful for their help nonetheless. You watched him chew his lip and knew it was bad before he even answered.

“Everyone.”

You took a deep breath and nodded as you realised there was no escaping this and maybe, just maybe, it might be a good thing. Your finger brushed over his cheek and cleared the speck of someone's blood that had landed there and you sighed as he captured your lips, all the fear and doubt evaporating with it.

“I don’t know what I would have done…” he whispered as he took in every beautiful feature he loved about you before doing the same to his daughter who had cried herself to sleep in his arms.

“You don’t have to think about it baby, you made it in time, you saved us.” You said softly as you cradled his face.

“Oh sorry.” Steve came to a halt as he saw the three of you curled up on the floor. “I just wanted to make sure you found them.”

“Can you take Sarah?” Bucky asked as he gently shifted his sleeping daughter.

Steve hooked his shield onto his back and lifted her up easily and you were grateful she was sleeping for this next part. You didn’t want her seeing the bodies that littered your house as you walked through, even you felt your stomach turning as you spotted the first one at the base of the stairs.

“Oh god.” You gasped as you saw his lifeless eyes and spun away, burying your face in Bucky’s chest.

“Close your eyes, doll.” He soothed as his hands gripped your hips and he picked you up, your legs wrapping around his waist as you screwed your eyes shut and focused on listening to his soft murmurs in your ear. “You can open them now.”

You blinked as the bright afternoon sun blinded you and it was hard to imagine that it could still be a beautiful day despite the horror that lay only yards away inside your house, the weather had no right to be so perfect. Your feet touched down on solid ground and you could see half a dozen shadows before you even turned in Bucky’s arms. You knew who each of them were, just because you were a secret in their lives, Bucky never kept anything secret when he got home. You had heard gossip and stories about every one of them and it felt like you should already be friends, but they didn’t know you.

“Hi.” You offered a small wave with your greeting and you looked at Steve with Sarah curled up in his arms. “Thank you for saving us.”

“It’s no problem.” Tony smiled and shrugged as Steve and Bucky looked at him, rolling his eyes as Bucky’s stare lingered longer. “What?”

“Ignore him, we do.” Nat grinned as she stepped forward and held her hand out to shake. “It’s nice to meet you.”

“You too. I’ve heard so much about you.”

She gave a little laugh as she let your hand drop. “Can say the same, but we will change that now, won’t we?”

You weren’t quite sure where you stood with her, the politeness came with an edge of passive aggressiveness. Thankfully Sam stepped in and pulled you into a hug.

“Forget her, she’s just upset that she was the last to find out.” Sam joked. “I’m glad you’re all okay.”

“Thanks to you.” You said as you looked around the group. “I would offer you something to eat but…I think we are going to be renovating.”

“You’re welcome to stay at the Compound in the meantime. There’s plenty of room. And, then you can tell us your real secret.” You frowned at Tony as he pulled his sunglasses out of his pocket and popped them on his face, feeling Bucky stiffen behind you. “How have you put up with Bucky all this time? No seriously, I need to know.”

“That’s something we all need to know.” Sam laughed and the tension disappeared so fast you thought you imagined it.

You bit your lip as you tried not to laugh. “I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you.”

Masquerade || Billionaire!Bucky

The decadent soirée was in full swing when you arrived, masked acrobats swinging high above the hall that was full of almost black roses. The elite list of invitees were already mingling over expensive flutes of champagne and their polished taste indulged in the White Gold caviar pristine hostesses offered as hor d'oeuvres. You declined the creamy white eggs but accepted the alcohol as you felt like an imposter in their midst.

“Do you have eyes on him?” Your handler asked through your ear piece.

“There’s three who match the description but the masks make it difficult to be sure.” You whispered discreetly as you pretended to admire the roses.

“I’m sure you will come up with a solution.”

“Black velvet.”

You turned at the sound of the man who had stepped in beside you and found one of the three possible suspects you had pegged as the owner of the mansion you were in. His deep blue suit set his eyes alight and the silver mask he wore was inlaid with diamonds you were almost certain were real. Even though you knew everyone who was invited was rich, he screamed luxury: from the tailored suit to the air of arrogance that clung to him as strongly as his sharp cologne.

He caught the quizzical look even through your black laced mask and chuckled to himself. “The roses.”

“Oh, they are beautiful.” You said as you followed his movement, his gloved fingers reaching out and plucking a stem from the bouquet.

“Because they are forced to be.” He said as he offered the single rose to you. “They have been modified to reach perfection. Something you seemed to have achieved naturally. I’m James, but my friends call me Bucky.”

“I’m y/n.” You said as you inhaled the sweet scent of the bloom and fingered the sharp thorns that lined the stem. “Does that line usually work for you?”

“9 times out of 10.” He quipped back with a charming smile. “I knew you stood out from the others. Should I just give up now?”

“I didn’t take you for the type to give up so easily.” You shrugged and slotted the flower back into the bouquet. “Or take advice from a woman.”

“Is that what you think of me?” He asked, his dark eyebrow peeking over the top of his mask. “I love it when a woman tells me what to do…in the right situation.”

His ocean eyes were turning to obsidian as he took in the curve of your breasts swelling over the designer dress you had been given for the party and down its length to the daring slit that revealed your leg. You could feel his eyes undressing you and he smirked when he caught you pressing your legs together needing to apply some sort of friction between.

“This used to be a royal embassy before my family bought it.” He said, looking around the room lined with paintings that were probably worth millions each. “Would you like a tour?”

You were nodding before your handler confirmed what you had already realised, he was your target. The target, James, cocked his elbow and you slipped your arm through his before he began to lead the way out of the grand hall and up a pair of intimidating staircases. Your heels tapped loudly on the stone steps and you realised just how quiet it was away from the party, there wasn’t a single person on this side of the palace.

You came to a stop in front of a pair of dark portraits and your head tilted to the side with familiarity. “These are Rembrandt.”

“You have an eye for detail.” He smirked as watched you inspect the paintings.

“They are extremely well made copies.” You whispered as you stepped closer and eyed the detail of the brush strokes and the lighting cast across it.

“Who said they were copies?”

“I saw these quite recently at the Louvre and I haven’t heard of their sale, that would certainly make the news.”

His smirk widened as he began to walk further down the hall with you in tow. “The Louvre would never admit they were displaying counterfeit artworks, imagine the embarrassment.”

You were beginning to feel like a lamb to the slaughter as you walked past a Monet and Klimt next, hundreds of millions of dollars in artwork in a ten metre span. It was no wonder the Barnes family had been running the criminal world for so long, they had infinite resources. And you were hoping to topple it all with a pretty dress and a pair of tits, what were you thinking.

“This wing was the original palace built for the House of Savoy in 1875.” James said as he opened a gilded door and let you through first.

“Keep him talking.”

“What is it now?”

He shut the door with a smirk that sent a lightning bolt straight to your core and instead of taking your elbow he placed his hand on the bare skin of your lower back. “Guess you’ll just have to find out.”

You were hyper aware of the smooth leather glove that was pressed to your skin and you were grateful for the daring dress once again as he led the way to another double door that was carved and covered with gold. You had never seen a more opulent room as you took in the space that was larger than your entire apartment. The double height ceiling housed a glass dome that let you see the brilliance of the stars above and you couldn’t help but stop to stare at the sight that looked unreal.

“Are these the same stars as outside or can you afford bigger, better ones of those too?”

His laugh rolled over your skin and his blue eyes almost glowed between his mask. “I like that. I’ll have to ask Elon, see if he can get me some bigger stars. Drink?”

He slipped the empty flute from your fingers before you could answer and made his way to the bar that was set up in one corner with a dark red leather sofa beside it, facing a warm, glowing fire.

“Do you have any tequila?” You asked as he grabbed a bottle of champagne from the wine fridge.

“I have AsomBroso Reserva Del Porto or Clase Azul Extra Añejo.” He said as he held up two bottles that you clearly didn’t recognise. “AsomBroso it is.”

“Mhmm, sounds good.” You nodded, still kind of thrown by how well he rolled his r’s when he spoke. "You speak Spanish?”

“Sì, ¿verdad?” You shook your head at his question and he grinned as he poured two shots of the amber liquid. “My father made sure I was fluent in a handful of languages to cover most of the countries we have business in.”

The way he said it contradicted the smile he had and you were sure it was not something he had a choice in. “Just how much is a handful? Out of curiosity.”

He handed you one of the shot glasses as he answered. “Almost 30.”

You nearly dropped the glass as your jaw did and a small splash of the golden liquid slipped over the rim and along your finger. You swapped the glass to the other hand and raised your finger to your lips to catch the wayward droplets on your tongue. Your eyes connected over your finger and the whole energy in the room changed as he licked his lips at the sight and you raised your glass to his before tipping it back. It was unlike any tequila you had drunk before, smooth with a rich warmth that reached your belly immediately, definitely not your more affordable Jose Cuervo you normally drank.

“Wow, that’s seriously amazing.” You gasped when the slight burn in your throat eased and you looked disappointed at the empty glass.

“You should have tried the caviar.” He teased as he took the glass and you followed him to the bar this time, leaning against the countertop as he refilled the glasses.

“You were watching me.” You smiled to yourself, impressed you had gained the billionaire’s attention that fast.

“I keep my eye on everyone who comes into my home uninvited.” You choked on the shot you were about to take and began to step away from him but he caught your hand and pulled you flush against his body. “Uh-uh-uh, where do you think you are going, beautiful? The party's just beginning.”

Your mind was racing as fast as your heart and you tried to think of ways to get out of his grasp. “I’m a cop.”

“What the hell, y/n! Are you trying to get yourself killed?”

“Nice try, doll, you think I’m going to believe you're a cop? You’re wearing a Givenchy dress and Louboutins, which are admittedly from last season but still more than a cop could afford.” He laughed and stroked his knuckle gently over your cheekbone. “Plus, you have too much sex appeal.”

“Thanks, I guess.” You said with an eye roll. “Fine, I was curious as to how the other half lived and my friends bet me I couldn’t get within 100 feet of the party.”

“Better.”

“And what did you bet them?” He asked as he relaxed his hand so his fingers were almost laced with yours.

You looked down at your hands and made the move yourself, curling your fingers between his before looking up into his baby blues through your mascara thickened lashes. “I bet I could fuck the host.”

His lips tipped up at the corners but he caught himself before he could really smile at the thought. “Why should I believe you? You could actually be a cop for all I know.”

“Rich men like yourself must have contacts at every police station along the Eastern Seaboard, I’m sure you could check-”

“Careful now, y/n.”

“-or…I could prove it right now.”

His eyes were darkening by the second as your hand trailed up his hard arm, knowing beneath the glove and the layers of clothes was a very advanced piece of technology. His eyes were screaming at you to prove yourself and when his lips parted in anticipation you couldn’t hold back. You rose to your tiptoes to reach his ruby lips that were calling you, even with the heels he was too tall, and you laced your fingers in the long strands of his hair. His lips were softer than you imagined they would be and they moulded to yours as he deepened the kiss, tongue lashing across yours as you fought for dominance but gave in as his hands roamed your body.

“Tell me we don’t have to trek across this mansion and climb an Everest of stairs to find your bedroom.” You begged as you unwillingly broke apart for air.

“Not quite.” He chuckled as he tightened his fingers around yours and headed to the doors set off from the library corner.

You crashed to his mattress in a sweating, heated mess and tried to remember how your legs were meant to work but the back to back orgasms he had pushed you through had rendered the limbs useless. With a satisfied sigh, James fell to his pillow beside you and brushed a hand through his messy hair that stuck up at different angles. He had been right, he certainly took orders from women and every direction you gave he did without question. You could only say he was the best sexual partner you had ever had.

“Holy shit.” You giggled as you snuggled into his arm that he opened for you. “That vibrate function was fucking insane.”

“I guess there’s some perks to losing an arm.” He chuckled as he looked at the black and 24k gold plates that had replaced his left arm. “Hell of a silver lining.”

You swore you had been bewitched everytime he smiled at you the way he did, it stole your breath in an instant. It had only gotten worse as your masks had been tossed aside so you could kiss the sharp shape of his jawline, seeing it all come together was a masterpiece.

“Oh shit, where’s my phone?” You asked aloud as you tried to find where you had dropped it with your clothes but you couldn’t see it anywhere.

“It’s safe on the dresser over there.” He said as he nodded to the set of drawers. “You are quite careless when you have a mission, or should I say bet to win.”

You pulled yourself from his arms and padded across the plush carpet to retrieve your phone and opened your camera. “Smile, I have to prove I won.”

He dragged the sheet over his hips to protect his modesty and he laughed when he caught your pout behind the phone, which was capturing the perfect image of him. “I better not see that shit on TMZ.”

“Oh no, I don’t want to share this with anyone, I might even take a loss on the bet so those horny bitches don’t get to see it.” You said seriously as you climbed back into bed and dropped your phone next to his. “Should I apologise for making you miss your own party?”

“I’m pretty sure I’m the one who made you miss the party.” He quipped back as his eyes greedily drank in the sight of you naked against his sheets. “How about next weekend?”

“The clone of his phone has been successful.”

He pulled you closer and kissed the sweet spot he had found at the base of your neck and begged you with his deep voice. “Come and miss another party with me.”

“Congratulations, y/n, mission complete, payment transferred.”

You grinned as you pulled back to capture his sincere eyes and despite knowing it was a bad idea mixing business with pleasure, you were addicted to him already. “That sounds perfect.”

The Auction - Part 2

Mafia!Stucky x F!Reader

3009 Words

Warnings: smut, oral (f!receiving), slight voyeurism, kind of dom!Steve

A/N: Finally done! Not beta’d, barely proofread, sorry for the delay folks, life has been crazy. Enjoy!

You smirked at your sister in the mirror, “Think I should ask him about the murder?”

“Don’t you dare,” Veronica warned, tugging the curling iron a little too hard. “Those guys are bad news, I’m telling you. They can make you just, poof, disappear. I can’t believe you’re going on this date in the first place.”

“What, was I supposed to turn down two thousand dollars for the hospital?”

“No one would have blamed you.” She was pursing her lips in the mirror; you’d annoyed her with your jokes.

“I would have blamed myself. I’ll be fine. Just relax.” She only huffed. “I’m a big girl, Ronnie. And I’ll text you, just like we agreed.”

“When you get there.”

“Yes.”

“When you leave the restaurant.”

You rolled your eyes, “Yes.”

“And when you get home.”

“Yes! I got it.”

“Fine.” She set the curling iron down, “Done.”

You fluffed your hair in the mirror, “Thank you.” You reapplied your lipstick and stood, fixing her with a stern gaze, “I don’t want you worrying about me all night. Go do something fun and I’ll be in touch, okay?”

She crossed her arms, “Fine.”

“I mean it, Veronica. Go home, smoke some weed, chill out. It’s going to be fine.”

She cracked a smile, “If either of them lays a hand on you, I’ll be the one on trial for murder. And you can tell them I said so.”

You laughed, pulling her into a hug, “I’ll make sure to pass that along.”

“Don’t actually,” she muttered as you parted. For a moment, the fear in her face made you doubt your decision, but it was too late to turn back now. Canceling would be worse at this point.

You both left your apartment and you locked the door behind you. You’d lucked out and the restaurant they’d picked was only a block away. No need to get a ride and if things went sour, you could be home quickly.

Adjusting your dress, you gave the host your name and waited to be seated. You sent Veronica the text you’d promised her and at the host’s signal, followed him into the dining area.

Your heart skipped as he led you into a private dining room. It was lit by honest-to-god candlelight and the table was covered in a rich tablecloth. Seated in two chairs, opposite each other, were Steve Rogers and James Barnes.

Okay Gramps - Chris Evans X Reader

You and Chris didn’t often fight and if you did it was generally over something minor, like leaving the toilet seat up, or not putting clothes in the hamper.

However the most reoccurring argument was over his phone that was so old that it functioned more as a metal brick than an actual phone. You had begged him for years to update it, saying it was not worth the nightly battle just to get it to charge, or the poor battery life.

However he just took it to the nearest Apple store to get it repaired. That process repeating until the Apple store refused to repair it because they didn’t have parts anymore because it was that old.

You were certain he’d spent more on getting it repaired than it would cost to just buy a new phone.

You finally won the battle though when you got pregnant and with your due date only getting closer you told him it was not safe for him to be unreachable because his phone’s charge wouldn’t last an hour. The last thing you wanted while going into labour was calling all his friends and family trying to track him down.

However he was probably the only person on earth that wasn’t excited to get a new phone.

“I don’t like the lack of buttons” he huffs as he looks at his new iPhone 13.

“It makes it sleeker and gives you a bigger screen” you point out.

“I guess but I don’t really like the face scan thing either, doesn’t seem safe” he mumbles as he goes through the setting up process.

You roll your eyes at him “they have privacy systems in place, and you were perfectly fine with them having your fingerprint” you point out nodding to his old phone.

“Yeah but what if hackers can access it, they have our faces on file, they could make fake identities” Chris argues shaking his head.

“Oh boy just you wait until you find out about driver’s licenses and all that” you say sarcastically, running your hand over your bump, feeling the baby kick your hand “see even the baby thinks you’re being ridiculous”

Chris rolls his eyes letting out a small huff of a laugh. But still lets out a long sigh as he frowns down at his new phone.

You reach out taking his hand in yours squeezing it reassuringly “look I know you hate tech and thinks its all over complicated nowadays, and i’ll be honest I agree with you to a certain extent” you tell him getting him to look over at you “but you’ll get used to the new phone just like you did with your old one all those centuries ago” you add with a smirk.

Chris finally lets out a good laugh at that, smiling over at you “yeah you’re right, and I have to remind myself its for this one here” he sighs reaching over to rest his large hand over your bump.

“Exactly and think of all the cute non grainy photos you’ll take” you smile watching at his smile grows wider.

“Yeah I can’t wait” he grins leaning over to kiss you.

Just like you said it didn’t take long for Chris to get used to his new phone, he was almost like an excited kid once he found out all the cool features. Often running over to you to show you the adorable photo he’d just taken of Dodger.

“Look how clear it is! You can see every detail! And his eyes!” Chris exclaims as he shows you the most recent photo he took of dodger.

“See tech isn’t so scary after-all” you smirk kissing him on the cheek.

“I never said I was scared of it” Chris huffs rolling his eyes at you.

“Okay gramps” you laugh.

Chris arches a brow at you shaking his head “you’re lucky I love you” he says as he kisses your cheek.

“I love you too” you laugh
