Genuine question guys, some please answer- but where the duck did the "canary " nickname came from? Like,, nadakhan never called him that in the show right? Then where did it come from?
reminder jay and cole went out like a married couple to buy toys for wu, failed miserably, and decided to bring him a motorcycle instead
What if Wu's "finish the training course before I finish my tea" thing came from Morro?
Morro was getting better and better at the training course and one day he made a bet with wu: "I bet I can finish the training course before you finish your tea"
And he did it. So Wu asked him to do it again, double or nothing style, but this time he made his tea faster and Morro failed. So he trained, and he got better, and he challenged Wu again and won. Eventally it became a habit, a regular part of Morro's training until morro was zipping through the course and wu was making and drinking tea at lightning speed.
And so when Wu takes on a new student years later he tries the challange, except he was so used to Morro being incredibly good and having to drink his tea incredibly fast to the point where he had given his new student a near impossible test
In my headcanon Eupharasia can’t fly and Morro is a terrible mentor/teacher
Throw the kid out the bounty and pray they learn
I think enough time has passed to post spoilers n all that jazz so
For those that like to imagine Cassie's glowing memories about sleeping at the daycare are more coming from Cassie being A Weird Kid (TM), rather than Moon not acting as scary back then:
Please take a moment to just imagine Baby Cassie and Moon's dynamic playing out like-
second half of skybound is fun because Kai and Zane (the stubborn optimist and moral compass, respectively) have been shelved so we get to watch Nya (who thinks “bombs” is the answer to every puzzle), Cole (no thoughts head empty), and Jay (just went through so much character development and hasn’t slept in a week) run around like headless chickens while Lloyd (confused 12yo) tries his best to be the Adult in Charge but he couldn’t even do a pirate accent right and it really struck a blow to his self esteem so everything else just sorta falls apart
i put this on my last acc but uh, the idea that lighting was an element that belonged to wojira
wind, water, and lightning elements have nightmares of wojira, who wants her powers back. Lightning ems have it the worst, wind ems are okay??? and water ems are in between
Libby had these nightmares and she was kinda becoming insane. Jay had already been born and Cliff was scared that Jay might get hurt due to Libby not being in the right state of mind. Knowing, however, that Jay would probably get these insanely realistic nightmares too one day, they were also fearing for others' saftey. So they dropped Jay off at with a couple who lived far away from Ninjago city, the Walkers.
Jay grew up with them and actually didn't get these nightmares until later on in his life, which was around age 9. I also hc Jay to have protothestic legs due to a car accident. After recovering, thats when he got the first nightmare. He never told anyone and he'd usually forget about it later on due to his tendancy to make jokes and stuff, distracting him from the dreams. This is also around the time he started zapping himself when he slept. However, around the 5th season, Lloyd getting possessed, Zane having recently "died", blah blah, he kept dreaming of them. This serpent kept replaying memories of it happening and stuff.
When skybound came along, everything went downhill. Basically everything got worse, he couldnt go a night without having those dreams, and Wu, noticing how Jay would act, remembering how Libby acted, gave him some magic tea. It was the same tea that blocked Libby's nightmares for a while. Basically, it blocked the user's ability to have any dreams. At all. No dreams means no Wojira. Libby used to take it when she was younger. But she stopped due to her actually being allergic to the tea leaves. Lucky for Jay, it worked. He got the tea around season 10, because he was just so anxious during that time (cole fell, the skybound mural just reminding him of all that trauma, etc). So Wu was easily able to tell something was wrong. Now, it's a thing he takes every 5 days.
Thanks for listening to my ted-talk.

Now we’re really getting into canon divergence. The nitty gritty, if you will. This episodes pretty much the same; Noah calls Alejandro an eel and gets called out for it, Courtney and Gwen find Duncan and he joins Team Chris, you know how it goes. What changes is that Team Chris ends up winning the challenge (like they should of in the first place but I digress) and get Duncan as their prize. I’m gonna say Gwen lets it slip that she has feelings for Duncan and Courtney gets incredibly upset, getting Sierra and Heather to vote for Gwen. Cody’s all out of sorts after Noah was at risk of being kicked off, though he wont say that out loud. He doesn’t have to, anyway. Tyler also gains a massive weight on his shoulders but it’s fine he’ll be fine
