Anyone who talks about Jaya with kids and says that Nya would not be the dad and Jay would not be the mom are wrong. Full-stop.

Jay is the one driving the soccer mom minivan. He is the one who is making sure that everything is packed correctly and no, Nya, he did not play ten years worth of Tetris for you to pack the car like a fucking lunatic. Everything must be rearranged to fit in as tightly as it possibly can. The cooler must be left accessible.

Nya is also definitely the parent who passes on the responsibility of saying no.

Kid: Mama, can I eat candy for dinner?

Nya: did you ask your father?

Jay: No! You cannot have candy for dinner!

Everyone says that Jay would be the one to indulge his kids but I honestly think it would be Nya. She didn't have parents growing up, and she had to grow up really fast, so she would want her kids to have as much fun as possible when they're young.

On the other hand, Jay recognizes the gaps in his upbringing, and wants to try and be a good dad. He's old enough to recognize that a lot of the discipline his parents did was good for him and that kids need it in their lives, even if he would love to indulge them like Nya does.

So yeah, give me tired and stressed stay-at-hom soccer mom Jay who drives a minivan and loves it. Give me chill as fuck dad Nya who lets pretty much anything fly and would probably join in your shenanigans.

I wish we had seen Sensei Garmadon and Misako after his cured of the venom. I mean, I understand it's a kid's show about Lego ninjas but still.

There would have to be a lot of work between the two, mistakes have been made on both sides, and a lot of late-night crying but they are willing to put in the work to forgive and restore trust within one another. (therapy helps too)

Headcanon that Jay was given a really fancy name by his birth mom and Ed and Edna just went with it, but it just did NOT suit him and they were always trying to think of nicknames but none of them stuck, and they were so relieved when he came out as trans and changed his name that they didn't even care that he named himself after a minor crime.

• Even though he was best friends with Sally , is they were ever asked to pair up he 'd partner with Brad because Sally was always with Lloyd

• While being human and non magical was his father's greatest weakness ( I strongly believe that he's chens son) it's his greatest strength

• He idolized Skylor in a very unhealthy manner as a child , putting her up on a pedestal and doing everything to be like her

• He doesn't have contact with any of the darkley's kids and avoids social media because he doesn't want to see anything about Lloyd and Sally since they're more likely to be famous

• He doesn't speak to Skylor and hasn't in years
