Synopsis: How would the women of Arcane react to having an s/o with a smart mouth
Warnings: slight cursing
A/N: sort of based on my fic abt sevika i posted a while back (that yall are still showin yall ass on…I see yall
Absolutely loves it, one hundred percent.
Sure Sevika likes a cute little bimbo she can manhandle, but a woman who can hold her own, be it with solid punches or a ruthless mouth, has her heart on a silver platter
Sits back and watch proudly as you tear through whoever is brave enough to come at you with a fragile ego.
She definitely thinks its hot, would probably try to piss you off herself just to see you a bit pissed. She’s toxic like that.
“I like me a woman with pretty lips, and a filthy mouth to match.”
Similar to sevika, she will definitely enjoy watching you tear someone a new ass for talking sideways to her, yourself, or anyone of your friends.
Also thinks it’s hella hot how you tell people off
She likes the balance that you provide in your relationship - you deal the damage with words, and she deals it with her fists. Its a wonder-duo type thing
Often jokes about how she doesn’t know how she hasn’t managed to piss you off yet, but she does actively avoid making you mad for other reasons.
“Damn, remind me to never get on your bad side then.”
She’s in the background, giggling with a glass of juice in her hand, enjoying the show to the fullest
In all honesty she’s the one that probably started it, by provoking the other person to come at you. Probably because she’s bored, or she sees you’ve got some pent up emotions and need to release it with some…positive vocal reinforcement.
Afterwards, theres an impromptu spiderman kiss, cause she’s just like a little monkey and watches from the ceiling beams as you tear into the poor guy
“Nice job, toots. Bet he won’t show his face around here again!”
Material gworl is very proud of you for using your words, even if they may be a bit vile and not appropriate if the setting is on the more fancy side
Nonetheless she watches from the sidelines, sipping on her class of champagne while you essentially curse out some random aristocrat with an inflated ego, with all the class and sophistication she taught you
Will put on that Councilwoman act to ‘scold you’ about your behavior, but behind closed doors, the situation is the but of every joke for the next few days.
She honestly wishes she had the same mouth as yours, but she’s quite fine leaving the dirty work to you if you insist. She’s not about to argue with you, especially not after you went in on a poor partygoer a couple of hours ago.
“You had a very interesting choice of words for that advisor earlier. Perhaps I should watch my own tongue for a while - wouldn’t want you nipping at me, now.”
Initially, Grayson scolds you.
You should know better than to let someone get under your skin, but sometimes her subordinates are a bit….enigmatic
She first sends them off, either putting them on paperwork duty or sends them to the training grounds to put in some laps around the court
When it comes to you, she apologizes on behalf of her subordinate, but the slight smile on her face tells you she found a bit of amusement in your colorful choice of words.
“Lets hope you didn’t bruise his ego too much, dear. But, really, you didn’t have to do him like that, love.”
If you enjoyed, please leave a like, comment, and reblog for others to see! And don’t be shy to send in a request!
BUT FOR REAL THOUGH LOOK AT HER ADORABLE SMUG LIL FACE SHE IS JUST SO PLEASED WITH HERSELF HUH ADSJLDSAJKLADSJK
@bwall-7204 the wedding suggestion
You stood for a moment, preparing yourself for what ever was going to happen as you knocked on Tia Peppa and Tio Felix’s door. You gathered your courage rapped sharply twice.
“Come in!” Tia Peppa called.
“I’m sorry to disturb you, but I need your help.” Tio Felix and Tia Peppa fixed their attention on you, from where they sat on the bed. “Please teach me to lead.” You requested. The cloud above Tia Peppa’s head malfunctioned and Tio Felix looked horribly confused. “For the purposes of dancing.” You clarified quickly.
“Oh!” They said simultaneously, sharing a look for relief.
“You’ve come to the right Madrigals then.” Felix said.
“Right, for the other, you should probably talk to Abuela.” Peppa agreed.
“How much do you know?” Felix said getting to his feet.
“Uhh, nothing.” You said.
“You want to learn by the wedding, right?” Peppa asked, looking over at her husband.
“Is that too much of an ask? I understand if it is!” You said quickly, starting to back out.
“Of course not!” Felix announced, “Why do you want to lead though?”
“Wellll, I’ve noticed that when Luisa is dancing with her sisters or her cousin, she tends to lead, and I thought it would be nice if she could follow for once.” You said, rubbing the back of your neck. Soft rain drops began to fall as Peppa started to cry.
“That’s so cute!” She walked over to you, taking both of your hands in hers. “Of course we’ll teach you!”
Wedding planning was starting to make everyone in Casita Madrigal a bit crazy. You had been placed on Agustin duty, ensuring that, however he helped didn’t result in serious injuries. Often, Augstin duty overlapped with mother of the bride duty as you tried to help keep Peppa from unleashing a hurricane at any minor inconvenience. Thankfully, dance lessons seemed to distract her enough that you could keep her calm, and Augstin was surprisingly helpful.
“You don’t have to tense that much. Your follow will know to hold themselves up a little bit.” He said, safely seated in a fort of pillows.
“And smile!” Peppa added. “This is supposed to be fun.” You nodded, only to get zapped with mini lightning when Peppa saw one of Tio Bruno’s rats absconding with a decoration. You really did try not to drop her, but the sharp pain in your hand had caused you to jerk away.
“I’m so sorry!” You said, helping her up.
“You’re fine, dear. I shouldn’t have shocked you.” Peppa soothed before stalking off to go get the rat.
“I’m going to go see Julietta, please don’t leave the pillow fort.” You said to Agustin. He gave a thumbs up and you walked into the kitchen, guarding your injured hand.
“Just me.” You called into the kitchen before pushing open the door.
“Angel! What happened?” Luisa’s joy turned to concern at the way you were holding your hand.
“Tia Peppa shocked me on accident.” You said.
“Let me see.” Julietta, bustled past her daughter to look at the scorch mark on your hand. She nodded slowly. “Do you have any discomfort or numbness anywhere else?”
“No.” You said, smiling a little as Luisa slipped behind you to put her arms around you.
“Here.” Julietta said, handing you an Arepa. “Let me know if that hasn’t resolved everything.”
“Yes ma’am.” You promised before eating. In an instant your hand felt good as new. “I should get back to keeping an eye on your dad.” You turned in Luisa’s arms to face her. She nodded and stole a kiss as a voice from outside called for her.
“Coming!” She gave an exasperated look skyward before leaving you.
You walked back to where you had left Augstin. He and Abuela were having a conversation which abruptly stopped as you approached.
“Inventive solution.” Abuela commented, gesturing at the pillow tower.
“Thank you.”
“It seems you have many such interesting solutions. Keeping Peppa calm with dance lessons was an excellent idea.”
“Thank you, Abuela.”
“Is there a particular reason you want to lead?” She asked, raising a single eyebrow.
“I wanted to surprise Luisa.” You said, wondering faintly if you had done something wrong. Abuela only smiled and inclined her head before walking off. You looked at Agustin.
“What was that about?” He looked like he didn’t want to answer, but couldn’t hold out under the force of your stare.
“She just worries about her grandchildren. And that maybe you learning to lead, could upset Luisa inadvertently by taking her role.”
“Oh.”
“I think it’s good for her, actually, and said as much. We find the people we need in this family, someone to take care of my daughter when she forgets to care for herself is exactly the remedy needed.” You took a step forward and hugged him.
“Thank you.”
“Of course. You make her happy, what more could a father ask?”
Tempers began to fray even more as the wedding grew closer. Dolores became increasingly overwhelmed as her soon to be mother-in-law kept trying to insinuate herself into every detail of planning, and dance lessons with Peppa was the perfect way to keep her from cycloning the poor woman. It was a blessing when Abuela finally sat Mariano down and instructed him to distract his mother.
The day of the wedding dawned with clear skies, and you were placed on, don’t let Tio Bruno say a single word about the weather duty. You hadn’t been sure if the same trick would work on him that had worked on Tia Peppa, but it was worth a shot.
“Yeah, sure, but we should switch back and forth.” You blinked at him. “She’s probably not going to want to follow the whole time. This’ll keep you from getting stuck in one mode.”
“Oh, that makes a lot of sense.”
The two of you spent the majority of the morning dancing as everyone in the wedding party prepared and double and triple checked that nothing was going to go wrong. You assembled at the church, taking a seat next to Bruno toward the back.
“This reminds me of last season of my telenovella where Bernard and Anglica were to be married.” He whispered to you about the convoluted plot as the other guests filtered in. Nod along getting more and more invested with each passing moment.
Soon the groom, groomsmen, and the bridesmaids came in, Camilo, Luisa, Mirabel, all waved as they walked past. Isa, who was the maid of honor, gave a cordial nod. Antonio, was the ring bearer, and walked before the flower girl, one of Mariano’s relatives. The jaguar escorted him before circling back and walking with the frightened flower girl.
“Should have had Isabella do that.”Tio Bruno murmured, you fought back a laugh, making a mental not to ask her to for your wedding.
Dolores floated down the aisle in her mother’s wedding gown, Tio Felix an inconsolable wreck next to her. As she reached the pew where her mother sat, a torrential rain hit the church and Tia Peppa sobbed into Abuela’s shawl. The ceremony was simple, sweet, and without a dry eye in the church, even the priest she’d a few tears.
Talking Tia Peppa down enough to make going outside safe took about a half hour. And the guests picked their way out of the church, being mindful of any fallen limbs or shingles. Luisa was tasked with clearing out the worst of the debris and you scurried away to help.
“I got it.” You said, waving her away from a smaller limb.
“You should go enjoy the party.”
“I’ll enjoy it far more with you there than I will without.” You said, grabbing a couple broken shingles. Luisa gave a resigned sigh, smiling at you affectionately. On the walk back, you held hands and swung them back and forth. She grinned and twirled you. You tripped, falling against her chest.
“Sorry!” Luisa said, steadying you.
“It’s fine!” You laughed, “being close to you hasn’t ever been a problem for me.”
You made it back to the reception just in time for the first dance. You grinned as you watched the wedded couple twirling around the floor. Soon the floor opened up to all couples and you held out your hand to Luisa.
“Dance with me?” She raised an eyebrow, but placed her hand in yours to be lead onto the floor. She moved to put her hand on your waist. “No no, I asked you to dance, let me lead.” That earned another eyebrow raise.
“If you’re sure.” She conceded, a small smile on her lips. That doubting smile turned to an expression of shock which turned to full, proper smile.
“When did you learn to dance?” She asked after a particularly complex move that you managed to lead pretty well.
“I may have begged some of your family for help.” You said. She laughed when she noticed the thumbs up from Tio Felix. “I’m going to dip you.” You warned.
“If you think you can.”
“If I think I can? I’ll have you know I only dropped Tia Peppa a couple of times, and one of them wasn’t entirely my fault.” She laughed, and as the song came to an end, you went into the dip. You help that pose for a moment, both breathless and smiling when a flash of a camera surprised you both. Agustin stood with the camera, grinning, before walking away to go photograph other people. You helped her back to standing and she stole a kiss.
The next song started and she grabbed your hip.
“My turn.”
“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”
- William W. Purkey
You stood in the middle of the square, pretending to be just as useful as any member of the Madrigal clan. You helped an older member of the village fold her laundry, and kept the priest from taking a dunk in the fountain. Well, almost.
In grabbing the priest by the back of his shirt to keep him from going head long into the water, he had twisted, redirecting the momentum to throw you into the water by accident. There was a sharp pain in the top of your head that lead to an underwater gasp.
One of Isabella’s vines looped around your waist, pulling you from the water as you coughed and sputtered. Familiar arms pulled you from the vine, setting you on the side of the fountain.
“Dove, look at me.” Luisa’s voice sounded in front of you. You tried to open your eyes, but found your vision very foggy and distorted. You tried to speak, but the water in your lungs was making anything other than coughing near impossible. Another figure in blue rushed over, placing gentle hands on your face.
“Do you think you can eat?” You shook your head.
“What do we do?” A hint of fear invading Luisa tone.
“Keep her upright until the coughing settles down. Don’t let her go to sleep.” Julietta instructed. You weren’t sure how you could possibly sleep with the burning on the top of your head and your body’s attempts to remove a lung via your airway.
“I can work one handed.” Luisa said, picking you up so that your body was being held upright between her arm and her chest. You tried to argue that this was silly, but all that came out was a series of syllables and coughs that made no sense.
“Hey, don’t cough at her in that tone.” Camilo scolded playfully. You half laughed and then coughed some more. Luisa grumbled something about not making it worse and began gathering loose burros.
“They need better fences.” You rasped after a while. “This is like a *cough* daily thing.” You were placed gently on a rock. A hand wiped your forehead careful of the spot that had collided with the fountain.
“You okay?” Luisa asked, kissing your forehead softly.
“Peachy.” *wheeze* “Just peachy.”
“Let me finish this, and we’ll get you back to Mama. I won’t be happy until that spot on your head is mended.”
“Ah, so the coughing out a lung is f- *cough cough cough*”
“That’s what you get for being smart.” Luisa scolded, kick flipping a burro with extra gusto on to her shoulders. You stood and started to stagger after her.
“What are you doing?”
“Following all three of you, obviously. Not every day I get more than one of you.” You teased. She nearly dropped a burro.
“I. You. Stop it.” She managed, you were pretty sure she was blushing. “Stay there. I’ll be back.”
“Fine, leave me all by my lonesome.” You sighed dramatically and started coughing again. You could almost swear, through the visual fog that she was running. You wobbled back to the rock and sat. Damn this day had been tiring. You yawned, feeling a rush of exhaustion hit. A little nap wouldn’t hurt would it? Just as you started to doze you were shaken awake.
“Y/n! Wake up!” Luisa’s voice was frantic.
“I’m up I’m up.” You slurred. Why did everything feel heavy.
“I shouldn’t have left you. Damn it.”
“Why would you leave me. I’m adorable.” You joked. No response. “Amor, that’s the part where you tell me to shut up. Remember? We have this whole back and-“
“Mama!” Luisa yelled carrying you over, and setting you down on the table.
“I’m fine, really just tired.”
“Eat this dear.” Julietta instructed, placing an Arepa in your hand. Luisa took it and placed it to your lips when your arm didn’t move. You took a bite and started to come back to a come an alert state. A couple more and the pain in your lungs and head faded.
“Better?” Luisa asked, you nodded, kissing her hand.
“Much, thank you.”
“Awww.” Isabella and Mirabel were standing together watching the two of you.
“Thanks for fishing me out earlier.” You said to Isabella, she smiled.
“You’re welcome.” She curtsied and made a bunch of flowers bloom for emphasis.
“Show off.” Mirabel commented, lightly nudging her sister.
“I’m taking Y/n home.” Luisa announced. “She needs rest.” You were lifted into her arms again and packed back up the hill.
“Amor, are you upset with me?” You asked, reaching up to cup her face.
“With you? No.” The unspoken portion left hanging in the air.
“How were you supposed to know I was going to fall asleep the minute I wasn’t being watched. Clairvoyance isn’t your gift.” Tears started to slip down her cheeks. You shifted to loop you’re arms around her neck. “I’m okay. I promise.”
“How did that happen anyway? One minute you’re helping with laundry, the next Isabella is yelling for me and you’re crumpled in the fountain.”
“The priest was about to suffer the same fate, I slipped redirecting him.”
“You shoulda…” she trailed off.
“Yeah, maybe we don’t wish ill on the priest. Abuella is devout after all.”
“I just…” an exasperated sigh followed.
“I know, you hate it when I’m hurt, I’m not really a fan either.” That earned a little smile. “I wasn’t kidding about that three of you comment though.”
“Stop it, Dolores can hear us.” Luisa blushed.
“Pretty sure she’s heard your parents and hers doing the horizontal tango.”
“No.” Luisa gasped, trying to block the realization.
“The beast with two backs.”
“Quit.” Her face went even redder, sympathy in her eyes for her cousin.
“You could even say they-“
“Dove, I am begging you.”
“Alright, alright, I’ll stop.” You had reached Cassita’s threshold by this point, and Luisa made a bee-line for her room. She set you down on the bed before loosing her shoes and getting in with you. You were pulled on top on her, your head resting on her chest.
“Promise me you’ll let the next person fall in.”
“You know I can’t.” Heavy sigh. “That’s part of why you love me.”
“Ya’know, this you being right thing is a real pain sometimes.”
“Ah, but I’m your pain.”
“I love you.”
happy pride to lesbians that aren’t butch or femme, you’re beautiful and valuable to lesbian culture and ily <3
My toxic trait is that “I can make them worse so much worse” 😭😭😭🧎♀️🧎♀️
My toxic trait is "I can fix them!"
I bet sevika would look really pretty with all tied up in maroon rope.
Okay say this with me:
👏🏼 Luisa 👏🏼 loves 👏🏼 being 👏🏼 little 👏🏼 spoon 👏🏼
She loves being held close and loves the feeling of a pair of arms wrapped safely around her. She wouldn't admit it to you any time soon, though.
You had never drank wine with dinner. Your mother had never permitted it, and you weren’t sure it was a good idea. One evening as Mirabel was filling the cups you accepted a partially full glass. You winced slightly at the taste, earning a small laugh from Luisa, but you weren’t going to back down. After a couple sips, you adjusted to the flavor and found it almost pleasing. The burning in your face though was definitely unexpected.
Camilo looked at you from across the table. He raised an eyebrow. And the giggles started. You covered your mouth with your hand, avoiding the looks from the rest of the family.
“Lightweight?” Luisa said, inspecting the wine glass with slightly less than a third of its volume gone. You giggled harder. Then another person started laughing.
Antonio couldn’t hold in his amusement and started giggling too, which immediately made the situation worse. You were laughing so hard your breath came in big, very separate gasps as you slumped against Luisa. No sound actually came from your mouth between gasps, just silent shaking laughter.
“Dear, do you need to go lay down?” Julietta asked, trying to mask the amusement in her tone. You shook your head.
“You sure?” Luisa asked, you shook your head again.
“Alright, I’m going to take giggles here to go sober up.” She announced, picking you up.
“Go on.” Abuella said, excusing you both.
On the way up the stairs, you’d stopped giggling, and got a smart idea. You leaned over and began to kiss her neck. Just soft little pecks along the soft skin.
“Stoooop!” She protested quietly, “you’re distracting me.”
“Good.” You said, sitting up a little and paying attention to her jaw. She hesitated on the landing before taking you to her room. You took in the sharp angels the relatively unwelcoming architecture of the room as you were laid on the bed. You had to admit that the softness under you was a bit of a surprise given the surroundings. Luisa tucked you in gently, and laid down next to you on top of the blanket.
“You’re so pretty.” You mumbled, stroking along the sharp cheekbone. She blushed and ducked her head. “Im sorry you’re missing dinner.” You added, blinking slowly as sleep began to over take you.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure mama has our plates off to the side to heat back up later.” She assured, petting your hair. She placed kisses from your forehead to your lips. “Go to sleep.” You nodded and didn’t realize you had complied until the next morning when you awoke nestled under her arm, her steady breathing sounding in your ear.
