Hi! Here is a blog that I honestly needed to work on for any writing I do. When I'm not trying to drown my sorrows in tea, you can find me writing on Ao3. I'm a English graduate who got a job to fund her 2D boyfriends. I love art, gardening, traveling, and my cats.

writing fanfic like “am i getting the dynamics of this friendship right?” “would this character actually say this?” “what is the proper ratio of kindness to sass?” “am i falling prey to overused fanfic personality shortcuts or is this a canon trait?” “am i overthinking this so much that i will grind to a standstill out of sheer terror?”
This Christmas I want to give something back to this amazing community. The fanart, fanfic, memes and all other content have absolutely kept me sane this 2020 and so I want to say thank you.
I'm giving away 15 memberships to @seraphinitegames 's Patreon for the month of December. This will let you enjoy the incredible Christmas scenarios for each RO as well as any other content uploaded!
If you want to take part in the give away, all you have to do is like/reblog this post. I will choose the winners randomly next week and contact each of you individually to get you signed up to Mishka's Patreon.
Happy holidays to you all! :D
I have never seen ANYTHING this needlessly extra ever in my life. Why is he like this.
a transparent professor reminding u all to vote!!
You love and support trans women!
Just learned that Caster Semenya lost her legal battle and I’m so fucking sad. this is such a huge loss for intersex people in sports and sets a real fucking dangerous precedent that essentially excludes all intersex people from participating in sports unless they go through (unconsensual) HRT. the blatent racism and intersexism that the court is showing is fucking despicable and I’m so fucking upset.
i’m also really fucking suspicious that the ONLY people talking about intersexism in the context of this legal descision are intersex people. even when this is BLATENTLY and obviously intersexist like, perisex people refuse to recognize it. and that’s fucking disappointing. i know there isn’t much awareness or solidairty with us, but still. it’s not a big ask to ask y’all to do the bare minimum of explicitly calling intersexism out for what it is. perisex people fucking do better.
My friend from Lebanon wrote up a really good thread on Twitter I thought I should share here, just to clear up some of the inaccuracies floating around:

having writer friends is being like in the world’s tiniest fandom except to get new content you have to beat it out of the author with a stick
The Book of Names lists each person murdered at Auschwitz
talk about yemen. talk about the 63,000 yemeni children that died of preventable causes. talk about how the UN dubbed it “ the world’s largest humanitarian crisis ”. talk about US’ major role in backing Saudi Arabia’s bombing. talk! talk! talk! this needs to get the deserved and much needed attention.
THIS RIGHT HERE
It’s time to go to fucking WORK! This is a call to action for all those wishing to further educate themselves, to work on becoming the best ally/advocate/warrior you can possibly be. I am starting on this list, and encourage you all to join in the reading. THE INJUSTICE MUST END NOW!
Bit of a rambly rant, but I have so many thoughts!
I hope that white BLM allies don’t stop at reblogging articles, or even at going to protests. This doubly so for people outside of the US - where people might think the situation isn’t as bad. (not that reblogging articles isn’t a good thing, spreadig the message and showing your support is great!)
READ and LEARN about your history. Try and get different sources, and look for sources from the black community or other minorities. Only if WE as white people change our views, behaviours and demands, will there be change. This is NOT for the black community to solve! They are pointing out the problem, AGAIN, and WE need to fix this, because WE as white people have made it so in the first place. WE need to vote and demand change from our governments.
Call people out on their racism - be constructive. But more importantly: CALL YOURSELF OUT. We all have racist thoughts. You have to face this simple fact. I do. You do. We need to work to catch ourselves at it. It’s not because we don’t WANT to be racist, that we AREN’T.
I think one of the key things is to understand what has lead to this situation. The racism in the US has come about slightly different than that in Europe or other places. So learn about your history.
I have a book on the Black Panther Party on my reading list atm, and I’m also going to read more about the colonial past of my own country (I feel like my history teacher glossed over it, and I really need to educate myself on this).
I’m sure I’ve seen reading lists already, but if you have reading tips for me and others, please leave a reply!
Absolute fucking ridiculous
This is powerful, it also needed to be said.
I want all nonblack people to watch this video, especially white people.
This is the best video IMO that displays the depth of what it feels like to be Black in the midst of white supremacy.
This is the rage that burns in so many Black people and eats at us when it is not sufficiently soothed by our self restraint and years of learning to cope with and sit with us. This is the pain that shortens Black people’s very lives, that we smother each day. This is the justified yet unjustly ignored anger we have learned to hold and to aim and to deal with without breaking (too much).
This is the fire that those of you who are just showing up on the scene are learning to sit beside.
When you ask us ‘how we’re doing’, understand that this is the real core of it, every single day, and we have had to learn to laugh, to sing, to dance, to work, to grieve, to heal around heavy, heavy pain. I don’t get the feeling that y’all are expecting nor could you handle if we answered you like this. But I do feel like you should already know how we’re doing: we’re Black.
So y’all, sit with this video for a hot minute.
Kimberly Jones, you are a warrior. I feel every moment of this, every diaphragm flex, every tenuously tempered shout. And I hope that you are taking a break, and experiencing a moment of peace, because you deserve it.
Trump racism poisons all his decisions. Trump can never acknowledge black excellence.
That sure is a portent
so i’m sure by now most of you have seen the news story about the patriots using their team plane to fly ppe into massachusetts from china (or at least if you’re local to new england you probably have).
it’s being shared on the news as a heartwarming story of a football team stepping up for their local area, but it’s also absolutely a sign of how truly and deeply fucked the federal response to this has been.
some background: massachusetts has received somewhere in the neighborhood of 17% of the ppe requested from the federal stockpile, and not one single ventilator. we requested 1000 of those and have now had to up our request to 1400. we have repeatedly been outbid by the federal government and now, most recently, had shipments of ppe that we ordered straight up seized by the feds in new york.
so, in desperation, our governor set up A SECRET DIPLOMATIC BACKCHANNEL to essentially beg china to send us badly needed equipment and make sure the federal government couldn’t seize it this time
florida has received multiple shipments of supplies in this same time frame, on time and unmolested by federal authorities. the difference? governor ron desantis is buddy buddy with trump and florida is a big swing state for the election. states that get on trump’s shit list are having to beg, borrow, and steal so that more people don’t die.
this is deeply, incredibly fucked and i don’t want anyone to ever forget it.
