Freshly adopted Jason, who is so used to taking care of his mother that the first morning in the manor, he wakes up in early hours to cook for Bruce, too.

Logically speaking, he understands that Bruce doesn't need it — he is a healthy adult, and they have Alfred — but it is six in the morning, and his mind is foggy, so he just follows his instincts. Maybe he does not even realise that mom is not here, after all.

Alfred finds him in the weakly dimmed kitchen when he finishes his walk around the Manor before starting with his chores. He is amused at first, stopping quietly behind the child. He is doing great (that's a surprise since Dick intentionally just stirred more trouble), and Alfred can't help but smile a little.

'Good morning, master Jason. If you are hungry, you should wake me up the next time. I promise to take care of you.'

Jason blinks owlishly, still awfully sleepy. His eyes are barely opened, his hands working on the automat.

'Breakfast,' he mumbles, frowning a little. 'For mom- I mean, for dad.'

Alfred's smile falters. His original impression shifts in a late realisation.

Oh.

'Master Jason, you shouldn't really-'

'Finished,' he yawns, putting a one — just one, nothing for himself at all — plate in front of Alfred.

It is a very simple dish, scrambled eggs with some black paper and toasted bread — but not even made in a toaster, just on the pan; this kid probably doesn't know how to use toasters. It smells nice, Alfred compliments mentally.

'Can you-' He yawns. 'Pass to-'

And then little Jason falls asleep helplessly, falling right in Alfred's arms. He catches him, of course. This boy weighs nothing at all.

'Hey, Al,' Bruce sticks his head in the kitchen, no less sleepy. 'What is going on?'

Alfred explains to Bruce what happened, and he is no less distraught. He helps him to put Jason in the bed and eats all the breakfast he prepared, with a mixture of delight and despair.

And when Jason wakes up, embarrassed by the faint memories of the early morning, Alfred puts a big plate in front of him, filled with so much food that his big blue eyes light up instantly.

'Bon appetite, master Jason,' he smiles. 'Your cooking had passed my personal standards for a cook. You are a good soldier.'

Jason giggles, his mouth already stuffed with bacon.

'That I am.'

And that he always will be.

It’s crazy and fucked up that being yourself is actually the solution.

Imitation and Flattery Pt. 2

I’ll try to keep this short because if I write too much, I’ll lose all desire to explore these same themes as fiction which is the current goal, XD.  

So in a previous post, I mentioned that once Gon rescues Killua from Kukuroo Mountain and they go to Heaven’s Arena together, their relationship becomes instantly close and they start to mimic each other, which you can see in all of the reaction shots where they share the panel or have side by side panels.  

And the change in the relationship is lampshaded too:

There’s literally like 100 panels in this arc (4-5 per chapter) that show Gon and Killua’s reactions side by side, starting from this one. Most of the time, they have the same or a similar expression and the composition is also similar.  Sometimes they have different reactions and are deliberately contrasted, which I’ll get into later.

Given what we find out about Killua much further down the line (re: codependency), I’d assumed he was mimicking Gon because he is just SO GRATEFUL to be rescued, but after reading through the arc again I’m not sure that’s really what’s happening.  If anything, I think they trade off being the leader or follower depending on the situation. You can tell who’s the leader, or “protagonist” of the moment, by who’s shown on the right in the panel composition.  That’s because Japanese reads from right to left…

so, i just binged the entirety of good omens.

i need some time to process this- these emotions i'm feeling right now.

i can say all i want that i loath aziraphale after the events of 02x06, but i can't say i fully do cause i know why he left. doesn't make the fact that he left crowley any better- but i do understand. as much as it pains me to say i loath one of the ineffable husbands, i loath the side ship of ineffable bureaucracy more.

the problem is that it doesn't seem like they knew each other before the attempted doomsday, which pissed me off that they got a happy ending and crowley and aziraphale didn't. don't get me wrong, i'm happy they got their happy end, but it feels like they didn't, idk, deserve it like crowley and aziraphale.

loved the show, 6,000/10, would absolutely recommend.

do y'all think that maybe killua loved illumi at all?

i wanna think that before the training started, maybe he did, probably thought he looked kinda weird but still loved him even tho he looked creepy

the thing is, all my oc's aren't at all cool looking, they were all made from darker ideas when i listen to songs or just sit around staring off into space.

Im a big fan of the "I am yours" trope. Like, in less of a possessive way and more of a sacrificial, two-way way.

When they would live for them, die for them, kill for them, throw away their past and future for them, give up their humanity and embrace the forbidden for them. When they would push against the world, everybody and everything around them, when they would challenge God for them. When they're the lighthouse in a dark storm, when they're only safe with them, when it's them against the world and the world can burn if it means they're together.

Being in a car with three people who know how to drive, when someone is doing something that isn't right with driving, they all start shit talking that person together

Today is my 16th birthday!!🥳🎉🎉

We're on the way to Olive Garden, then to Spirit Halloween at the mall, then off to the "special birthday suprise"(my sister gave it away with her reaction when I guessed)

Anyways, today has been great so far! I woke up to a truly beautiful piece of art on the stairs🤭

My sister drew Killua, theres a cactus, a lunar eclipse, a birthday tornado, what i can only assume is a dinosaur, a turtle, a fish or shark with a missing fin, a frog, and whatever that bat looking thing is.

Today has been good so far. They decorated the dining room with Gravity Falls decorations. So far, I've got 2 gf funko pops and the gravity falls vinyl and, ofc, cash and fift cards

I have a orange cat plushie that's named Kitty Soft Paws(after Kitty from the old Puss in Boots movie ofc) tho i just call her Kitty.

I've had her for years, and at first she was all brand new but now, her legs have no stuffing, the beanie toe pads have fallen out, her fur is completely matted, her scent pack is on its final stretch of smell after all these years, but shes still Kitty👍 (despite the fact shes literally falling apart, shes still the stuffed animal i love and will continue to cuddle with :DD)
