In between clases we would visit these long time friends in the “East Hastings Graffiti Alley”. We shot a short documentary on them as well that we’re trying to find.
The story shared about buying fruit from an 1800s film set was great.
Thanks for a beautiful friendship, miscellaneous world insight, and straight truth that is hard to come by.

Aaron and I met at film school many moons ago. He played an important part in a project that inspired me creatively upon arriving in the city of Vancouver. I was lucky enough to retain creative freedom over the project which allowed us to shoot our “guerrilla style” production.
The film was titled “Street 🏴☠️ Pirate.”
There was an onslaught of “cocktail producers” and “talkers” which led to us to an independent path. The Documentary Street Pirate (link below) became our “rite of passage” into the documentary scene as well as one of our proudest achievements.
Sarah McCormick (producer) and Masiliso Kongwa (sound) also deserve a mention as it was quite an erratic schedule to abide by at times.
