If i make some inscryption enamel pins to sell, would anyone be interested in buying them? It feels like a bit of a small fandom and bulk ordering custom pins costs a pretty penny but I'd be so absolutely down to put in the investment even if i only ended up breaking even. I've already got 4 designs drawn up (lonely wizard, goobert, po3 and leshy) but i wanna get a feel for the demand before i move forward.
I appreciate anyone who reblogs this to spread it around! Either way I'll probably add a bit more detail to the designs and sell them as stickers too, so yall can still look forward to that in the coming months.

aka L is a vampire and somehow always finds a reincarnated Light every few decades, and even though Light has no memory of his past lives, he almost always is the cause of L's issues. It's only more of a headache that L falls in love with the bastard every time too.
ok, ok, i know it’s a vampire fic. and i know that seems.....not the most appealing to a lot of people, but trust me, this one is worth it ( no blood sucking required ) it’s so good, the writing is breathtaking and it never fails to make my heart so happy every time.

A world where Light is shot by Higuchi at the end of episode 7 and doesn’t regain his memories or the Note.
this fic’s entire concept is interesting to me because it quite physically prevents light from getting the note, instead of it being his own choice. it’s beautifully written and i recommend it!

L stands out in the downpour, listening as the heels seem to echo all around him. He’s cold, he thinks, but it’s not from the rain. Rather, it’s this feeling; icy and piercing as it extends ever outward from his core. It has him thinking quite a lot, more than he usually does. About the case, about himself...
About Light.
this one leaves most of the ending slightly ambiguous about the result, per se, but it does have much feels and much rewards after the feels. i loved it a lot and i think you will too!

And that’s what it all boils down to: Light runs, and L follows.
there will never be a time in which i don’t praise this fic - this is one of my favorites by far, one of the best ones i’ve ever read in my life it’s so stunningly good. it’s a fix-it fic ( i won’t spoil more than necessary heh ) and it’s so so so good i could not express it in words. if you’re looking for a good fic with a happy ending this is it.

“What are you even doing? Why is there music? Did you lose your headphones?”
L tapped the side of his laptop screen. “I am waiting for the Sims to load.”
who would’ve thought that a fic about lawlight playing the sims could be so good? it’s cute, a nice calming fic, and it’s really great to just read to pass time and recover your heart from angst.

You don’t forget how to play the game just because you lost at it and Light had their instructions manual permanently etched into his very soul. L wins AU! in which Light has been in jail for two years when L shows up asking for his help with a case. Light desperately wants to help, he missed their competition and has been very bored without it but he feels that L is hiding something. Still, Light helps hesitantly, all the while trying to figure out what game the detective is playing at. Meanwhile, L is willing to play at any game, as long as Light plays with him.
oh god this fic has my heart. genuinely. this one is pretty popular so i wouldn’t be surprised if you’d already read it, but it’s incredibly good and beyond my expectations in everything. absolutely incredible fic imo!!
that’ll be all! hope this list helped you find something you liked :]
for all the people who love slandering light while praising L:)
-disclaimer: L is my favorite character-
1. In the beginning, L sacrificed a criminal, Lind L. Tailor, just like what Light did, except L did it for his own benefit and to solve the investigation.
2. Later on in the story, L was about to let another criminal die just to test a rule in the Death Note (the 13 days rule).
3. When L caught Misa for suspecting her of being the second Kira, he interrogated her for extremely long periods of time that consumed much of Misa’s mentality (torture).
4. He also deprived Misa of sleep (torture).
5. He repeatedly disallowed Misa of basic necessities, including being able to go to the bathroom and having water (torture).
6. He deprived Misa of many of her senses (strapping her blindfolded: torture).
7. He strapped her to a metal contraption for hours on end (torture).
8. He definitely left an imprint on Misa’s mentality during this interrogation, even going so far as to tell Watari to do “whatever it takes to make her talk” (torture).
9. Misa even screamed, “Just kill me!” which shows that she was being forced into such a stressful situation by L (torture).
10. After the Misa interrogation, L even had a mock execution set up for Light, which can also be considered torture for Light as well as Misa, who was a bystander.
11. L was always condescending towards Misa, while Light never actually called her “stupid” in front of her face.
12. L manipulated Misa into helping him with the investigation.
13. Even Light himself thought that it was wrong to manipulate Misa into helping them:
14. L lied about Light being his first friend, which shows that he is capable of manipulation.
15. Over sixty-four surveillance cameras were placed in Light’s room alone by L, not to mention more in Light’s household and the household of the deputy director. Note that none of the households were aware of this (except for Soichiro) and, at this time, L doesn’t even have any concrete evidence to even have a permit to do this.
16. In fact, L does anything he can do to solve the case, which is described above.
17. This scene:
18. L repeatedly calls Matsuda stupid, while Light never does to anyone.
19. In fact, L pretty much deems the entire task force (except for Light) as stupider as he is. In chapter 13 of the manga, L investigates the current task force to see if they are Kira, who he has previously said as extremely smart, but determines they aren’t. You can see how the task force reacts to this subtle condescension:
20. L only takes on cases that he finds interesting. He is not the “hero” that saves the world from “all evil” but instead he is just pursuing his personal hobby: solving cases.
21. That being said, he even called himself evil by saying, “If you measured good and evil deeds by current laws, I would be responsible for many crimes.” and “That is why I only take on cases that pique my interest. It’s not justice at all. And if it means being able to clear a case, I don’t play fair. I’m a dishonest, cheating human being who hates losing.”
22. Whereas Near simply calls Light “a murderer”, L actually never does. In fact, if we were to call the second death note movie as canon, L calls himself the worst type of monster (a lying monster).

I had a professor in college who used to start solving every problem with the same dialogue.
Proff: What’s the first step to solving any problem? Class: Don’t panic. Proff: And why is that? Class: Because we know more than we think we do.
I think about that a lot tbh. It didn’t occur to me until much later that he meant for us to apply that dialogue outside of the classroom to any problem. Because we always know more than we think we do. We are all an amalgam of random information that ends up being relevant with surprising frequency.
take note, people: this would never happen to a glorious ANNUS!
Technically true.

Finally cleaned up an old doodle I started a while ago.
A stoic biker dude from a Mad-Max style post-apocalypse world gets teleported to a magical fairy realm where all conflict is solved through enchanted baking contests.
Long story short he adjusts quickly and becomes an adopted dad to an entire kingdom of magical baking witches.

You ever think about how Rem died for misa but misa wouldn’t have done the same
u can guess what happened after
That’s right, I am Kira. And what can you do? Kill me right here? Hear this: I’m not only Kira, but I’m also God of the new world. Kira has become law in the world we now live. He’s the one who’s maintaining order. I have become justice, the only hope for mankind. Kill me? Is that really the right thing to do? Since Kira’s appearance six years ago, wars have stopped and global crime rates have been reduced by over 70%, but it’s not enough! This world is still rotten… with too many rotten people…. Somebody has to do this! And when I first got that notebook all those years ago, I knew I had to do it—no, I was the only one who could! I understood that killing people was a crime. THERE WAS NO OTHER WAY! THE WORLD HAD TO BE FIXED! A purpose given to me! Only I could do it! Who else could’ve done it and come this far?! WOULD THEY’VE KEPT GOING?! … The only one… who can create a new world… is me…
