Forgive me my bare bones rp blogs, but i am five years out of practice RPing on tumblr and even in my day I never quite learned how to format a fancy system like most of the more well put together folk have. I have no interesting borders and i don't really have the energy to make icons for every expression as much as I wish I could. And as an unemployed disabled late 20-something I cant afford to commission any...

Maybe some day I can figure out how to do all that and it look natural for my characters. But until then, I'm sorry my posts are bare and uninteresting.

the Poignancy(TM) of the Jim-Stricklander dynamic: mentor turned opponent, protégée turned enemy. really gets me in the gut because it's so painfully obvious that Strickler actually did want to protect Jim on some level and genuinely valued his student's bright-eyed enthusiasm and heroic nature up until it started being a real threat to his goals, at which point he became vicious and cruel with horrible ease.

but also, the Hilarity(TM) of how hedge-wizard assassin's declared nemesis is a teenager whose level he frequently descends to in an increasingly undignified series of slapfights, powertripping, and taunting that culminates with Stricklander dating Jim's mom, only for him to fall hard for said lady who instilled all these obnoxious values in the kid in the first place. peak tragicomedy. no notes.
