You know, I never told you this. Julie Roussel’s letters were very beautiful. Beautiful because because they were full of hope. We were trying to create something permanent. But you came instead and brought the ephemeral. Before I met you, I thought life was so simple. But now I realize it’s not. You mixed everything up. In a way, it’s too bad.

Ah, Sharon, it’s very hard to talk about her without getting a bit weepy. The word exquisite perfectly sums up this lady. Almost other-worldly, so beautiful and sensitive. But in no way wishy washy, she was smart and not taken in by the shallowness of the industry.

The Beatles recording at Trident Studios, St Anne’s Court, London on 1st October 1968, working on Honey Pie for the White Album. The backing track was recorded during this 16 hour session, with Paul on piano, John on electric rhythm guitar, George on bass and Ringo on drums (of course) played with brushes.
