Okay...I just had a thought. (Surprisingly.)
You know this line from the summary of The Island?: "This tribe fears and worships a terrible sea creature. They manage to keep her submissive through frequent and precious sacrifices, but her anger arouses and she demands more."
So I was thinking about that, about how weird it is because obviously the "sea creature" isn't really a sea creature; it's a boat piloted by someone pretending to be Wohira. Why would they demand sacrifices? What the heck are they doing with them?
And then I was thinking about Twitchy Tim, and how I'm fairly certain he was a sacrifice that somehow escaped, and something occured to me.
You know how he has purple lightning in his hair? Like he was experimented on by the Keepers or something? And you know how Jay seems to be treated like a very important sacrifice?
What "Wohira" is demanding someone...with lightning powers? And they're getting unsatisfied because so far all of the Keepers' sacrifices have been normal people, that they maybe tried to give lightning powers?
Because what if Wohira is actually Libber, looking for her son?
Now that sounds stupid, because asking a tribe on a remote island for sacrifices does not seem like a very effective method of looking for her son. And no, I don't really have a concrete explanation for that, other than it is already apparent that something must have happened to Libber.
We have no idea what, or where she is, but whatever it was it must have been what caused her to abandon Jay in the first place. Something bad must have happened, that caused her to leave her son and disappear, presumably because she thought that's what she needed to do to protect him. It seems like she was running from something.
What? I have no idea. But it makes perfect sense, and it would also explain why she hasn't returned to Ninjago.
I dunno. Just an idea. Probably not a very good one because I'm super sleep-deprived, and I'm not really expecting this to happen, but it would be kinda cool.
