Last year, The HRC (Human Rights Campaign), reported that in 2019 alone, at least 26 trans and gender nonconforming people were killed in the United States alone. Disproportionately, Black trans people were the victims. Those I have illustrated here, do not even scratch the surface of what is, and should be recognised as, an epidemic. Now, more than ever, it is crucial that we do whatever we can to support the black trans community.

new aesthetic, like cottagecore but for the sea. Mediterraneancore. Blue and yellow pattern tiles. Blood oranges and lemons. a wide brim hat. balconies. decadent, warm, mysterious. angelic but the types of angels whose beauty puts u to silence
art museum dates are so underrated. I want to take dumb pictures in front of Roman statues and watch her stare in awe of the little ways the sculptor made the stone look as soft as skin. maybe she would pull me over to a painting that reminded her of me and I would get to listen to the way her voice twinkles as she explains her argument, and a glowing smile as I reluctantly agree with her. maybe we could pretend to have a museum heist and almost get kicked out, ending with the both of us in heaps of laughter, falling just a little bit deeper in love. and when I'm asked about which piece of art was my favorite today? darling, you already know the answer.
anyway it is the year two thousand and twenty and in my country alone 100,000+ are dead and over 40 million people (myself included) are unemployed due to a pandemic that has had a negligent-at-best-cruel-at-worst government response, black people are being murdered by police at horrific rates, trans people have the highest murder rate of any group, hate crimes (especially against immigrants) have spiked globally, and the president called for the military to shoot people protesting violent systemic injustice
if you will not use any platform at your disposal to call out injustice and bigotry then you have chosen your side
neutrality is not an option when one side is calling for the death of the other
let these dark academia valentines do the talking for you
