We need more trees in suburban and urban areas. They create shade for people and habitat for wild life. In overdeveloped areas which are just flat Concrete and asphalt temperatures can get really high.
Also if ur going to have a lawn, please native grasses and plants because these give habitat to bees and native wildlife.
Plastic or fake grass can get hot enough to give third degree burns and is a danger to pets and children.

The climate and biodiversity crises are already affecting people and landscapes around the world. But there’s one natural remedy that can tackle them both: restoring degraded and damaged landscapes.
There are already countless restoration projects that are turning degraded landscapes into beacons of hope and resilience – including those led by our own Restoration Stewards and GLFx community.
We recently covered five of the most important things you should know about restoration. Now, let’s dive deeper into how you can join this thriving new global movement and start your own restoration project. Here’s a step-by-step guide to guide you through the process.

Hi
I was wondering if I could get some advice for my March projects.
So far, I just have a few ramble bullet points:
⦁ Plant tomatoes on the side of the road for strangers to pick. ⦁ Cucumbers? ⦁ Carrot planting. ⦁ Look into rules in town for making community access to garden? ⦁ Possible veggie stand on side of road for people to snag? ⦁ Egg basket for picking? Maybe? Can you keep eggs outside for people to collect? ⦁ Snack bags? Brown paper bag lunches?
And I'm not sure if these are even logistically possible but I would like any advice you might have and suggestions!
tomatoes maybe grow in your garden / window box / windowsill just bc they can be quite delicate plants you might want more control over. but you could then put them out in a basket
cucumbers and carrots are way hardier. plant them wherever, seedbomb a lawn
smart move, but also dont be afraid to ignore rules if stupid
egg and veggie stand both smart move but keep eggs out of sun if sun is applicable
love a brown paper snack bag!
