!!EMERGENCY FUNDS!!

Recently I have been very sick from spending a lot of time on the streets, enduring cold and this worsened my health, I was afraid this would happen, and it did. I have to be with oxygen cylinders to be able to breathe better when I got agitated, I am lacking a lot of air, and I am left without breathing, I am going to be discharged but I need to be in a cool, warm place, without humidity, and they ask me to take care of me a lot.

Unfortunately I do not have all the resources to keep me safe, that is why I need your help, whatever you can contribute to me will be of great help.

My name is Kariman Dohan, I am 25 years old. I was a committed and diligent teacher, and my husband, Ayman Olwan, 30 years old, is a business administration graduate, but due to unemployment and difficult conditions in Gaza, he was forced to work as a fisherman. We have a wonderful son named Hamoud, who is one and a half years old. We live in Gaza, specifically Khan Yunis, where the fishing boat, fishing equipment and the school where I worked were damaged๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

What's wrong?

The American public transportation system is actively lobbied against people in the lower classes of society, to the point where the government refuses to install trains because of the insistence upon cars. If we did install trains, and they became the main form of transport, it would save much more room for housing and infrastructure, and would become much more eco friendly as well. Furthermore, it would nigh on eradicate traffic, as there would be dozens of people per train car, as opposed to the current one or two people per regular car. It would save more space, time, and money, but we keep the current system of car centric society in place in order for CEOs who run car companies to stay in the 1 percent.

"Iโ€™m personally a Holocaust survivor as an infant, I barely survived. My grandparents were killed in Aushwitz and most of my extended family were killed. "Iโ€™m personally a Holocaust survivor as an infant, I barely survived.

My grandparents were killed in Aushwitz and most of my extended family were killed.

I became a Zionist; this dream of the Jewish people resurrected in their historical homeland and the barbed wire of Aushwitz being replaced by the boundaries of a Jewish state with a powerful armyโ€ฆand then I found out that it wasnโ€™t exactly like that, that in order to make this Jewish dream a reality we had to visit a nightmare on the local population.

Thereโ€™s no way you could have ever created a Jewish state without oppressing and expelling the local population. Jewish Israeli historians have shown without a doubt that the expulsion of Palestinians was persistent, pervasive, cruel, murderous and with deliberate intent - thatโ€™s whatโ€™s called the 'Nakba' in Arabic; the 'disaster' or the 'catastrophe'.

Thereโ€™s a law that you cannot deny the Holocaust, but in Israel youโ€™re not allowed to mention the Nakba, even though itโ€™s at the very basis of the foundation of Israel.

I visited the Occupied Territories (West Bank) during the first intifada. I cried every day for two weeks at what I saw; the brutality of the occupation, the petty harassment, the murderousness of it, the cutting down of Palestinian olive groves, the denial of water rights, the humiliations...and this went on, and now itโ€™s much worse than it was then. Itโ€™s the longest ethnic cleansing operation in the 20th and 21st century.

I could land in Tel Aviv tomorrow and demand citizenship but my Palestinian friend in Vancouver, who was born in Jerusalem, canโ€™t even visit! So then you have these miserable people packed into this, horribleโ€ฆpeople call it an 'outdoor prison', which is what it is. You donโ€™t have to support Hamas policies to stand up for Palestinian rights, thatโ€™s a complete falsity.

You think the worse thing you can say about Hamas, multiply it by a thousand times, and it still will not meet the Israeli repression and killing and dispossession of Palestinians.

And 'anybody who criticises Israel is an anti-Semite' is simply an egregious attempt to intimidate good non-Jews who are willing to stand up for what is true."

Digitally painted illustration of Palestinians resting beneath a large olive tree against a bright blue sky. Both adults and children rest against the tree's trunk, hold hands, chat, play, and pick olives. They're dressed in shades of red, green, black, white, and blue. A black and white cat also rests curled against the tree's base. The olive tree grows large and lush above them with a twisting trunk indicating its age. "Palestine will be free" is written beneath the illustration.

There will be Palestinian futures on Palestinian land.

NATIVE PLANTS TOO PLS you can even research native edible plantssss

Hi

I was wondering if I could get some advice for my March projects.

So far, I just have a few ramble bullet points:

โฆ Plant tomatoes on the side of the road for strangers to pick. โฆ Cucumbers? โฆ Carrot planting. โฆ Look into rules in town for making community access to garden? โฆ Possible veggie stand on side of road for people to snag? โฆ Egg basket for picking? Maybe? Can you keep eggs outside for people to collect? โฆ Snack bags? Brown paper bag lunches?

And I'm not sure if these are even logistically possible but I would like any advice you might have and suggestions!

tomatoes maybe grow in your garden / window box / windowsill just bc they can be quite delicate plants you might want more control over. but you could then put them out in a basket

cucumbers and carrots are way hardier. plant them wherever, seedbomb a lawn

smart move, but also dont be afraid to ignore rules if stupid

egg and veggie stand both smart move but keep eggs out of sun if sun is applicable

love a brown paper snack bag!

We need more trees in suburban and urban areas. They create shade for people and habitat for wild life. In overdeveloped areas which are just flat Concrete and asphalt temperatures can get really high.

Also if ur going to have a lawn, please native grasses and plants because these give habitat to bees and native wildlife.

Plastic or fake grass can get hot enough to give third degree burns and is a danger to pets and children.
