This is an interesting thing. Looks like testimonies of people who left the MAGA movement- how they got into it and why.
Leaving a cult is really hard, so I really respect the people who are speaking from this place.

Hello everyone,
After much contemplation and hesitation, I find myself launching this donation campaign. These are the most challenging moments for me, ones I never imagined I’d encounter.
Let me introduce myself. I am Dr. Mahmoud Al Tibi, a 27-year-old Palestinian general practitioner currently residing in Argentina.
Allow me to briefly recount our story. Before October 7th, my family—consisting of my parents, five young brothers, two sisters, and myself—lived in a warm, loving home. Our lives were filled with joy and love until the devastation of war struck.
I vividly remember October 6th, a day before the war on Gaza began. It was a day of celebration as we gathered to virtually celebrate my younger brother Mustafa’s graduation from pharmacy school. Little did we know, those pictures captured by my sister Sahar would be the last images of our warm home. The war left nothing but rubble and memories, shattering our once-happy life.
My beloved father, Mamdouh, a civil engineer, saw his concrete factory destroyed, leaving him without a source of income to support our family. His tears speak volumes of the hardship he endures daily.
My mother, whose handcrafted embroideries adorned our home, now struggles to provide for us amidst the scarcity and devastation left by the occupation. Her dreams of pursuing a master’s degree in food science were shattered overnight.
My brother Mustafa’s joy of graduation turned into despair as his dream of opening his pharmacy remains unattainable. He now spends his days searching for food and firewood amidst perilous conditions.
My younger brother Yassin, a bright student with a passion for learning, had dreams of studying medicine. Now, his days are consumed by gathering firewood and waiting in lines for food.
My married brothers, Mohamed and Ahmed, along with their families, lost their homes and possessions. Their children, deprived of basic necessities, face the horrors of war daily.
My sister Sahar and her daughter Tala, living in dire conditions, rely on animal feed for sustenance. Tala, once vibrant and smiling, now suffers from psychological trauma caused by the constant fear and uncertainty.
For the past five months, my family has endured unimaginable suffering in makeshift tents, where the threat of death looms large. I implore you, out of sheer humanity, to contribute whatever you can to save my family. I am left with no option but to seek your support in ending this nightmare.
Exiting Gaza to safety requires funds beyond my means—$6,000 to $7,000 per person. Your assistance will not only save my family but also restore warmth and hope to their lives.
I am deeply grateful for your generosity.
