but in all seriousness that is a genuine problem. in my opinion rain code is a game best experienced when you actually play it. obviously not everyone can pay 60 dollars for a switch game, and the non-switch release is over a year later, not everyone wants to wait that long. but the fact that so many people watch base-level playthroughs or just gain all their knowledge from shitposts or fandom is.. troubling? i get not being able to play the game, but you don’t NEED to be in the fandom. if you can’t play a game, find something else to focus your energy on rather than a game you literally have not properly consumed. true visual novels I think are fine to just watch or read, but a walking simulator like rain code really requires playing to fully understand. for instance, if you don’t play the side quests, and check in on each NPC every chapter, and check every profile, and walk around the city and truly appreciate its depth.. you aren’t going to understand makoto kagutsuchi. you need to understand kanai ward in order to sympathize with his love of it you could understand “oh he loves the city” from a surface level but you wouldn’t be able to truly feel for him and experience the game as intended unless you’ve actually experienced the city and what makes it lovable. that’s all just one example but I can give more. if anyone has the time to play raincode, but not the money, I can provide some 🏴‍☠️, because I really think not actually playing the game is highly detrimental to the experience and treating it like a linear wall of text to read basically just .. ruins rain code

I've been thinking about Vivia's brothers a lot lately and I'm so curious >< what kind of relationship did they have?? I wonder if they were mean to Vivia (and I guess each other as well) or did they get along??? Maybe they were just neutral towards each other :/

And how many siblings does he have? Is Vivia the youngest? And what kinda "misbehavior" did Vivia do to get locked into a storage closet, how long would he be in there for?? I wish we got more info on his backstory though I do understand why there wasn't, since Vivia isn't really that type of character.
