Sam Headcanon🩸♥︎

I headcanon Sam as having the physical appearance of a man who should be a werewolf.

very rugged, hairy, very dark and strong features but which just stand out even more against his pale skin, and the whole country, southern aesthetic just adds to it.

I feel like Sam wouldn't wipe away Darlin's tears.

I fully believe that he believes that wiping away a person's tears is the same this as a shh or don't cry, and he hates both of them, so the only way he'd wipe Darlin's tears is if he could see them struggling to open their eyes or smth

But I really just can't see him doing that

Sam / Darlin Headcanons

[In no particular order]

✩ Sam has stretch marks on his hips and across his back from growing so fast after leaving Mont Blanc

✩ Darlin has a high pain tolerance so they literally don’t realize when they’re seriously injured sometimes

✩ Sam has a lot of faded scars on his hands

✩ Sam is the oldest brother, Darlin is a middle child - they both had to leave their younger siblings behind and still feel bad about it

✩ The younger pack members think Sam is the absolute coolest even though they don’t get to see him very often

✩ Sam still has David’s name saved as Mr. Shaw in his phone

✩ Since Sam convinced Darlin to start eating actual food they are BUILT - their muscles aren’t super lean and defined anymore, but they’re noticeably stronger

✩ Occasionally when they’re stressed Darlin will shift and lay directly on top of Sam like a wolf-shaped weighted blanket

✩ Sam hates the question “are you a tea or coffee person?” because people rarely accept his answer of “both”

✩ Darlin was very uneasy about any kind of physical touch after Quinn, especially skin-to-skin, so they almost exclusively wore clothes that covered their entire body for about a year - they feel safe enough to wear tank tops and shorts now

✩ Darlin likes holding both sides of Sam’s face when they kiss

✩ Sam pretends to be more oblivious to modern media than he really is

You think when Sam and Darlin’ were first dating, Sam would practically check Darlin’ for cuts or bruises every time he saw them? Cause I think about that a lot.

Just imagine Sam pulling Darlin’ aside to quickly check on them because he saw a bruise peeking out from under their shirt, which ends up in Sam healing them.

Imagine how the pack gossips about the two of them, always disappearing together, which usually ends up in Sam being tired afterwards.

Imagine how awkward David felt having to schedule a meeting with Darlin’, just to tell them they need to stop sneaking around with Sam during pack parties.

Imagine Darlin’ struggling to convince David that they aren’t fooling around, it’s just Darin’ getting into fights again, and Sam healing them.

Imagine Sam’s face as Darlin’ tells him, the two of them completely dumbfounded how the whole pack thought they were sneaking off to have sex.

Imagine the next time they have a pack party, Sam pulling Darlin’ into the middle of the room and loudly scolding them for the small scrape they had on their arm, and how he can’t always heal them.

Imagine the pieces slowly falling into place for the pack. It would be odd for only Sam to be tired after, and now that they think about it, Darlin’ stopped limping or rubbing sore spots after Sam pulled them aside, and they really weren’t gone for that long…

More light hearted headcannons;

Random headcannons, redacted audio as things my friends have said.

Freelancer gets really bad anxiety when it comes to water. After what happened with Kody, they couldn’t bring themselves to shower for a few days- opting for perfume and cologne, instead.

After Tank got into the fight with the two vamps, they tried to call Milo. When he didn’t answer, they sort of gave up. They didn’t really care if they died or not.

Honey is absolutely terrified of Guy leaving them, but struggles to convey that. Or to convey any emotion, for that matter.

Lovely has hallucinations. More than once, Vincent has walked into the kitchen to see them talking to a wall, or to find them screaming in bed. It’s not something they can control, and it happened after Adam.

Because of the Lack of food in Angel’s home, they struggle to keep down a healthy amount. There have been times where they’ll throw up because their body isn’t used to eating a normal amount.

Sweetheart fears aging, more than that, they fear not having children or not living to the fullest. They haven’t told Milo, because he knows that’s not what he wants.

Angel is deeply self conscious about their body, opting to hide under baggy clothes instead of showing their actual frame. Their ribs are very prominent.

Freelancer doesn’t like to sleep alone. If Gavin is gone (for whatever reason) they’ll sleep over at Damien and Huxley’s place, and if they’re not available, they just.. don’t sleep.

Most days, Treasure feels more like an object than a person. Like they’re forced to be the ‘mom friend’.

When inversion happened, Angel screamed so hard and so loud they tore their vocal cords.

Tank avoids eye contact with all vamps, because Quinn used to trance them when they made eye contact. Forcing them to do things they didn’t want to.

Most of the ‘cool scars’ on Tank are self inflicted.

Thinking about Sam

A thought I just had: William dies, Alexis invokes Sam, and tries to stage a coupe against Vincent, driving him and those who support him, including Porter, Fred, and Bright, out of Wonder World.

This basically causes a war, Alexis and her supporters versus Vincent, Darlin’, Porter, and the entire Shaw Pack.

During the final battle, Darlin’ is fighting Sam and trying to reach him through the invocation. When they start to quietly sing they and Sam’s song, they start to see him trying to fight back against the invocation.

Asher, Porter, Fred, and Bright hold Sam back as both Vincent and Darlin’ go up against Alexis.

Quotes:

Porter to Alexis: “You can trance him, invoke him, whatever you like. But that will never, ever, make him love you.”

David to Vincent: “Vampire or not, Sam is a member of our pack. And you are our friend. We will help you however we can, I swear it.”
