have y’all ever thought how fucking grand and iconic it would be , if guardian was actually gay ? like , the show itself , you know .

there are so many aspects to it that would be no joke groundbreaking . and i’m not even talking about a chinese show being gay . like , have you ever thought about how much weilan’s story defies homophobic stereotypes ?

for starters , guardian is a sci-fi show with two queer main characters , which - correct me if i’m wrong - has never happened anywhere before . it also has a plot that fully depends on the love story of said two characters , though at the same time that plot is not entirely just about the two characters being gay without any further explanation . it’s not stereotypical either . it’s an actually beautifully thought-out love story .

another thing that a lot of homophobes love to push is that gay people can’t be in love / one person can’t be in love with another person of their gender . and i mean , what defies that better than a story about a man being in love with another man for ten thousand years , waiting for him and being faithful to him that entire time , despite not being able to see him ?

guardian is not just a bl , it’s not just a show that has absolutely zero plot and whose only saving grace is the fact that it is gay ( not that there is anything wrong with that tbh jfksjfksjfksjs ) . but , it is really a full blown sci-fi show with lots of different amazing characters , each of whom has their own plot .

it also doesn’t fall under the usual shitty plotline of either of the guys being confused about their feelings ? shen wei definitely isn’t , but neither is yun lan . he is absolutely sure in his love for shen wei , and when a girl chases after him and tells him she loves him - he rejects her without a shadow of a doubt . no way in hell would he want any woman , or anyone else really , when he has shen .

and why does no one talk about guardian punching toxic masculinity in the face ? shen wei is a man devoted to the love of his life for ten thousand entire years . yun lan is a man fully devoted both to a man he loves and also his team , which he also loves and cares for deeply ( and he shows it too , in many ways ) . guo changcheng is a fragile gentle boy , who doesn’t end up ‘ winning ‘ by becoming hyperly-masculine, but instead by embracing himself . and there is many more examples .

i can go on and on about this . guardian could do shit™️ if it was allowed to be what it was supposed to be from the very beginning . and i’m just so sad that it wasn’t .

modern american age accurate school au!

so i was talking with my friend and discovered that if Law was 15 and a sophomore in highschool, Kidd, who’s 3 years younger, would be 12 and in middle school and Luffy, who’s 4 years younger then Kidd, would be 8 and in elementary school

Kidd would totally be that one kid who goes through a goth/punk phase in middle school (that never, ever ends, but he gets better at it later in life) and he probably shops only at hot topic and dyes some of his hair black because it looks cool and also robots are awesome he probably loves transformers

and Law would totally be a hipster that always wears plaid and is always on his phone or something. and he’d also be the guy who draws his logos on EVERYTHING. especially his backpack. and he’d have personally designed clothing with his logos. because seriously all of Law’s clothes and den den mushi and crewmates and his submarine and his CHEST AND BACK and EVERYTHING HE OWNS IN CANON has his jolly roger on it, except his Dressrosa outfit, which has Corazon on the back, which is a reference to both the person and the fact that he’s the captain of he heart pirates so that one also counts. also that Bepo plush was a gift to him from his adopted dad Rocinante/Corazon and he takes it with him everywhere

and Luffy is that dumb kid that Law probably has to babysit and Kidd hangs around because why not. Luffy only has meat in his backpack. nothing else. his teacher (who my friend and i decided was a 35 year old Crocodile) is very very annoyed by this

Red velvet cupcake: why do you like Gray Fullbuster so much? All he does is strip and make ice sculptures lol

Gray Fullbuster. Love of my life. The only anime/manga dude I fell for the first time I saw him until now. Like, I know there are other good looking anime dudes out there but seriously, the resident Ice Mage from Fairy Tail still has my heart. 

Here are the reasons why:

1. He’s probably one of the most normal members from Fairy TailOkay he does strip from time to time (but come on, it was part of his training with Ur), but if you overlook that, he’s one of the sane people in their guild (like hello, even their Master Makarov can be wack at times lol)

He’s also a kind af guy, in general. He may not look it, Gray is a gentleman, is pretty sensitive to emotions (especially to his closest friends), and knows how to swallow his pride and freaking apologize. 

2. He’s so coolLiterally and figuratively. If he’s not fighting with Natsu or anyone in the guild, he just radiates c a l m. 

Also, unlike Natsu who speaks his mind out, Gray is relatively laidback, reserved, and thinks first before he acts. And me likey *swoon*

3. Fashion sense on point

Yo, have you seen him when he’s got clothes on? The man’s got style, let’s be real here

4. Character Development MVP

If there’s one character in Fairy Tail who had the best character development, I’ll give the trophy to Gray. He went from someone willing to sacrifice himself just to end the ghosts of his past that were haunting him (poor man was so caught up in his past that his guilt messed him up), to someone who now looks into the future, values his life, and never gives up for his friends and family aka the guild. 

5. The way he babies Lucy and Wendy

JUST LOOK AT HIM

AND LOOK AT HIM DANCING WITH WENDY SKSKSKSKSKS

6. His beautiful ice-make magic

His weapons are honestly beautiful and aesthetic. And they’re made of ice too, so the pretty factor just went up to 100. 

Also when he upgraded from Ice Make Wizard to Ice Demon Slayer? GIIIIIIIIRRRRRRLLLL 

7. Sometimes a dork

The way he called Frosch cute sksksksksksksks tell me that is adorable or I will throw hands (lol jk)

8. (BONUS) He’s also hot when he’s mad
