Stitches

I went and got a new tattoo recently. The only way the artist could get to the spot was to sit behind and straddle me and he felt so awkward. However, it gave me the idea for this fic:

I've written/still in the process of writing quite a few and only one person (my friend was an English Major in college) has read most of them and that was just to proof read them.

Your style of writing may change as you grow but don't let anyone else dictate how or what you write.

Me, having clearly mentioned that writing is an intimate process and therefore I consider no one should interfere in someone else writing until the entire end of the story, and adding to that I’ve been writing for 16 years and I’ll never let anyone try to dicdate how I should write: I... don’t think so.

My friends: Aww... but why?

Me: my story, my words, my writing skills. Fuck everyone else.

My friends: even the teacher?

Me: espacially the teacher.

The knock on your door takes you by surprise, and you carefully mark the page in your book before sliding off the edge of the bed to answer it. Not many people visit you in your room at the Avengers compound unless it’s for a mission, which FRIDAY would have already alerted you to if there was.

When you swing open the door, the last person you expect is Natasha Romanoff standing there looking down the hallway, perfectly styled red hair swinging as she turns her head to look at you.

“Hey Agent Y/L/N,” she greets you with one of her patented spy smiles, giving nothing away about her true intentions. “I hope I didn’t interrupt anything important.”

“No, just catching up on my reading during the downtime between missions,” you inform her warily. “Is there… something you needed?”

“Oh, no,” she waves a hand in front of her, “just… me and a few of the other compound residents are planning a girls night later this month. Taking over Tony’s pool and hot tub, raiding his expensive liquor, ordering way too much pizza… you know, the yoozh. I wanted to see if you were interested in coming. It’d be me, Agent Hill, Wanda, Agent Alvarez, and I’m pretty sure Pepper is going to be there, too.”

The request, however surprisingly random, intrigues you. You’ve only been on a handful of missions with the agents she listed, and nothing between you or anyone she mentioned feels close to friendship. Either way, you decide to go along with it; maybe it’s time to make some friends, you have been living here for almost six months now and are just as solitary as the day you arrived.

This reminded me of one of my D&D game nights 😂.

My party and I transplanted some trees around the border of a village to help (hopefully) make another barrier against the zombies that had been hanging around. When we went back to the village a month later in the storyline, well... The trees had destroyed the village and had multiplied to a decent sized forest. And as the only nature inclined character...the others sent me to try and communicate with the trees...it didn't go well, for the rest of my party at least.

So, I just found out...

(He might be in the doghouse right now but I'm not posting names) Sorry if it seems a jumbled mess. Kinda just wrote everything as it came to mind.

So I got off the phone with my boyfriend a few minutes ago....our relationship is still new. We've only been together for about two and a half months and he recently moved to Alaska so now we're long distance. He just signed the papers for his new place and he and his new roommate were getting to know each other. Well he was drinking and apparently had too much. He'd told that he's been in a long distance relationship before but it didn't end well cause he cheated on her. Honestly I'd hoped it wouldn't happen to us but I couldn't keep this nagging feeling in the back of me mind that it would. I just didn't think it would be so soon. He hasn't even been up there for two weeks and then this happens. He was up front and answered my questions about what happened. He was apologetic and sounded sincere. I'm about to go on a short deployment and I'm gonna have this hovering over me the entire time. I told him I can't trust him now and he said he doesn't expect me to. I just....I don't know where we go from here. He said he doesn't want to lose me but that it's not his choice and that he'll respect my decision whatever it is. I don't want this to be what breaks us but at the same time I have to entertain the idea that this could happen again in our careers/life. I'm sad and disappointed than upset. Is that wrong? I don't know what I should be feeling about this. We've talked about kids and where we'd like to live and even the breeds and number of dogs we'll have. (it's a lot by the way. The dogs, not kids.) I still want him in my life but with our careers this probably won't be the last time we're long distance for a time.

In his spare time (ha) Elijah likes to code little apps for mobile devices that he releases under a pseudonym. Mostly highly intricate and difficult puzzles and games, there are also throwaway apps that he makes and never updates. For certain apps, he deletes the programs entirely after a certain time (like if the hype dies down or it becomes too buggy to fix) and either remakes it or just forgets it entirely.

There’s a website someone made that includes full, free to play, desktop versions of the games he’s already deleted that people like or still enjoy. Elijah fully supports the one who runs the site, even offering to pay for the domain for them.

The apps themselves are always free to play and absolutely never play ads.
