I loved the sequence of Sam training with the shield because it is such contrast with what we were shown with Walker. With Walker we are shown him perfectly throwing and catching the shield while listening to all his achievements in the military. But with Sam, we are shown him messing up and not being perfect. But he never stopped trying. And I just couldn’t stop thinking about Dr. Erskine said. “Not a perfect soldier, but a good man.” And I think that fits Sam just as well (if not more so) as Steve.
