I know I shared this already when he first said it, but here:
So can y’all stop with the “so many reshoots” talk already, because it’s not true and you’re not defending or helping anyone or anything by continuing to spread that rumor
Jfc even the defense of Sam and his movie is always hell smh
Just rewatched Bucky's introductory scenes in Thunderbolts, trying to pin down why he felt so kinda creepy and weird.
I don't know if the congress hearing was his first day on set, but it's like Sebastian hadn't fully shaken off the Trumpisms yet. Ugh like
Well, I'm not on the impeachment committee, but umm the uhh rumors of uhh wrongdoing are very worrying. They're very, very concerning ... and uhh worrying. And I think my constituents in Brooklyn deserve better, so we're going to get to the bottom of this umm ... worrying issue.
He just sounds so dumb. Help 😭 I can't unhear it.
And his phone call with Mel?
Mel: It's kind of strange. That it's all over now, isn't it? I mean, the Avengers are gone. No one else is coming to save the day.
Bucky: Maybe we could be the people who are coming.
Ex-fucking-cuse me?!
Who the hell just months ago stopped the United States and Japan from starting WW3?!
Sam Wilson and Joaquin Torres!
Who the hell stopped the President from hulk smashing DC!?
Sam fucking Wilson!!
For Bucky to let that slide and then be all "Maybe we could be the people" 😏
I'm throwing that man into the fire.
More MCU fans need to understand that the extent of anti-black racism that exists around Sam Wilson as a character colors every scene he’s in, every way he’s talked about, how he’s perceived by fans, and how he is used by the media company as a character.
There is no way for fans of Sam Wilson to view these sleights as innocent or contextual - for example, Lexi being an ignorant buffoon in general — because the severity of the hate this character faces means there are people who cannot read that Lexi is intended to be a buffoon. They will actually look at that scene and go oh Lexi is right, Sam is a bad character and this reinforces the beliefs that I already had. They can’t look at the context that the Thunderbolts are not intended to be taken seriously as the New Avengers because the point is that Sam is the only one who has real legitimacy- they will look at the movie and go, John Walker really IS the better Captain America and Sam Wilson is trash. And when you combine it Sam constantly being put in the background despite being Captain America, it reinforces that Sam is not as important as Steve Rogers, that his position is tenuous, that he isn’t the backbone of the MCU now. These strategies end up with real harm to the presentation of Black characters in the MCU. And Sam fans are rightfully pissed off that this keeps happening because we see the social media posts trashing Sam. It’s a real phenomena, not just ship wars or fannish defense.
I’m sorry I screwed up. Screwed up? Get out of here. I did. You never messed up like I have. You never got shot out of the sky and nosedived into the Indian Ocean. You’re always on point. Yeah. Because if I’m not on point… I feel like I let down everyone else who was fightin’ for a seat at that table. That’s pressure, man. It weighs on you. Makes you wonder if you’ll ever just be… enough. Where I grew up, I only ever got to see heroes online. Or on TV. It always felt so far away. And I kept thinkin’ maybe if I get out of Miami, you know, maybe one day I could be… Don’t say AntMan. No, man. I wanted to be you. Well… Sam Wilson. Because that guy? That guy won’t ever give up. That pressure, that responsibility you talk about? I want that too, man.
ANTHONY MACKIE & DANNY RAMIREZ Captain America: Brave New World | 2025
Cannot believe it's canon that Sam Wilson finds the most serious person around him, teases and prods at them until they smile, and then they fall in love with him. Sunshine personified. Makes everyone's lives better. 15/10 would also fall in love
It's 1:55 and I can't sleep bc I'm thinking about how much Marvel and its fans hate, and when I say hate I mean HATE, Sam Wilson and that there is no actual reason for it other than blatant racism because he is by all means a very likable, fun, attractive, smart, skilled and kind character and has been nothing but a great, caring friend to their whites faves and yet he is still not good enough for anyone.
y’all ever see a piece of fan content about your favorite character that is so horrifically different from what you personally believe and you just
post workout sambucky😮💨
“Sam’s trying to restore order from chaos. And he is a good person but I think he sees issues as too straight forwards sometimes and is a little “by the book”
Seriously, what the hell do y’all even be talking about?
When has MCU Sam ever come off as “by the book”?
The first time we meet him he ends up harboring a couple of fugitives, stealing his wings from the government, and helping those 2 fugitives I just mentioned defeat Hydra.
The next time we see him he’s taking a brief break from secretly searching for a wanted man. By the way, he’s doing this so he can help him, not turn him in.
His third appearance is him quite literally going against the book by being the first person to vocalize their disagreement with the Accords.
Then he’s on the run for a long time, working in the shadows. And why is he doing that? Because, again, he’d literally just gone against the book and defied the government, and now he’s a fugitive.
I could go on, but… why should I have too?
Listen, y’all just have to start thinking before you hit post on this stuff. So many of you are saying so many things that simply aren’t true and don’t make sense, just to support your baseless points and it’s getting old.
Man, I get that canonically Alfred can be a bit childish, but the amount of straight-up condescending infantilization I see him get hit with by a lot of fans is, uh, pretty grating.
