What I'm Gonna Write Right Now Could Be Triggering For A Lot Of People So If You're Sensible To Gruesome

What I'm gonna write right now could be triggering for a lot of people so if you're sensible to gruesome stuff do not read - but if you read it I ask of you to help us by reblogging and sharing and supporting us on this fight against gender violence ♀️💚

Yesterday, a 25 year old girl named Ingrid Escamilla was murdered by Erick Francisco, her 45 year old boyfriend. He stabbed her on the throat with a kitchen knife, skinned her from the face to the knees, and removed her organs and discarded them by drainage - all of this while his 15 year old autistic son held witness of the atrocity. Erick confessed to Ingrid's murder and yet people on social media have been saying is her fault for dating a much older man, for being lazy and trying to get "a sugar daddy", for not taking care enough of herself. And if that wasn't enough, pictures of her corpse have been shared publically via social media, almost going viral 💔

What I'm Gonna Write Right Now Could Be Triggering For A Lot Of People So If You're Sensible To Gruesome

In the past few years mexico has had a feminist rise given that statistics show 10 women are killed every day in mexico city alone, 66 out of every 100 women suffer a form of gender violence in mexico, 1 in 5 complaints ends in conviction, 27.93% of pregnancies are from girls from 10 to 18, in 2019 there were 5350 feminicides and 7526 women were vanished from earth.

Women have marched, sang and danced, and vandalized monuments, and people got mad and said "we dont need feminism", "that's not how women should protest", "feminists are criminals", with a hashtag becoming really popular among women: "they dont represent me".

Ingrid was one of them, tweeting in March "feminism has to end if your best argument is that (we need it) because we are women, WE ARE PEOPLE and your life is not more important than a man's life stupid beast"

What I'm Gonna Write Right Now Could Be Triggering For A Lot Of People So If You're Sensible To Gruesome

Yet, the feminists are fighting for her killer to be convicted and for it to be classified as a feminicide - the reason I'm telling you this is because I hope you'll realize that feminists fight for you and are your best friends. The best support system you could have.

But HERE is the reason I call for your support - the president has proposed to eradicate the term feminicide while stating: "I dont want feminicides to overshadow the presidential raffle". 🎫

What I'm Gonna Write Right Now Could Be Triggering For A Lot Of People So If You're Sensible To Gruesome

If you're not from Mexico you wont know that the president promised during his campaign to sell and not use the presidential airplane. However he was "unable" to sell it and hes planning to raffle it amongst the mexican people, each ticket to enter the raffle costs $500 pesos - which is a lot. And it has been implied that people wont be given the plane but a prize in cash that's not even a 100th part of what the plane is worth. ✈

We cant allow our president to eradicate the term feminicide. We just can't. Itll make things worst for the victims and every single woman in mexico. This is a great act of violence towards women and it's coming from the most powerful person in our country, please spread the word about what he wants to do to us. 🤮🤢

Please circulate this: The French government (my country) has issued a warning against taking anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, Advil, cortisone) with covid-19 symptoms, as it may cause severe cases of the disease, even in young and middle aged adults with no underlying conditions.

What “every white person is racist” means

Everytime I see a post of “you can’t be white and not be racist” or something along those lines, there’s always a white person jumping in saying “i’m white and i’m not racist, you saying that is racist” and here’s the thing:

YES. In the USA specifically you cannot be white and not be racist. Why? Because in USA history white people have opressed black people and they have built a system in which they are benefited from their status as white folk.

So you may not consider yourself racist, and maybe you’re not, in the sense that you’re not hateful, or pro-salvery or part of the KKK - but you benefit from the systematic racism in your country. If you don’t recognize your privilege and actively try to deconstruct that system that benefits you while giving black folks the shorthand you are being racist cause you’re enabling that systematic racism - and because if you’re aware that you benefit from it and you don’t want to tackle it and deconstruct it is because you don’t want to lose that privilege. So, yes, it is racist. That makes you racist.

Plus, segregation was “abolished” in 1954 - 66 years ago, your grandparents and your parents were alive and learned the segregation way, you probably have been subconciously taught racism while you grow. Maybe little comments here and there, maybe you’ve been taught to not trust a black person when they come to your home, or you have been taught to lock your car doors when you’re inside and a black person passes by. Keep in mind these arent taught in a verbal way, this are little reaction-habits that are learned subconciously. So yeah, you are most probaly racist in one way or another. The same way all men are sexist, one way or another.

My dad for example, he doesn’t consider himself sexist, and most people wouldn’t either, he isn’t violent, or actively treats women as a lesser kind BUT every time we talk about celebrities his only focus is on the physical attraction of the female celebrities, ive hear him say many times “she’s not pretty enough to play that role”, while his focus on the male ones are about talents and scores and awards and stuff. Those are sexist comments, that is a very sexist pov to look at celebs, so yes, he is sexist.

THIS is what people need to understand, being racist, sexist, lgbtqphobe doesnt always present itself in an ugly oppressive agressive “im better than you and you dont deserve human rights” kind of way, sometimes its subtler and unintentional, and that’s where its dangerous cause most of this people really think they arent like that and when it gets pointed out they get defensive. They take pride in something they think they are, but arent willing to listen and grow.

“I loved you for so many fucking years, but you know what? You didn’t exist.”

—Johnny Depp to Amber Heard, in a recording presented as evidence in their recent defamation trial.

But thething is, scooter is threatening Taylor, the person who won artist of the decade, who is extremely powerful and such a game-changer in the music industry so do you really expect artists that work with/for him to speak up on her favor? It wont happen. He wont allow it. Imagine the manipulation they're under... I'd love for it to happen, it'd be an epic power move on their part, but it probably won't and I will not hold it against them.

These are the acts associated with Scooter Braun. Unless these artists speak up in favour of artists rights, don’t stream their music.

*UPDATE* I’ve been informed CL is no longer apart of his label

She Broke Records With ‘Twilight.’ Then Hollywood Called Her ‘Difficult.’
Ten years ago, director Catherine Hardwicke grossed more than any woman ever had at the box office. She was thanked with a cupcake—and sexist Hollywood labels that hurt her career.

On the 10 year anniversary of Twilight, director Catherine Hardwicke reflects back on her hit film. With an opening weekend of just over $69 million, the film went on to earn $192 million in the U.S. alone, at the time a record breaking sum for a film directed by a woman.

Hardwicke’s description of Summit’s reaction to the financial success of the film:

When I went in I saw that there were massive bouquets and balloons and bottles of wine, and crazy gifts sent to them by all the distributors around the world or whoever, all their friends. So I actually had it in my mind, wow, this is a pretty unprecedented success. I had heard these rumors that when a director does something like this they give them a car, they give them a two-picture deal or something like that. They give them an office and ask them what they want to do after this.

And then I got a mini cupcake that day. I was like oh, OK, cool—coming in here, I’m sort of working for free, doing this online stuff, and that was what I was offered: a mini cupcake.

Growing up is actually all about realizing people don’t inherently dislike you and it’s a bit odd to assume they do

One of the greatest lies the patriarchy has instilled into society is that, unlike men, women are allowed to show emotion.

Every single woman I know has been asked if she's on her period as a way to invalidate her feelings.

Every single woman I know has been told that she's overeacting because she's too emotional at least once.

One of the principal arguments against women in positions of power and leadership is that they're emotional creatures and therefore untrustworthy of those things.

Women get made fun of for crying at certain films, especially chick flicks.

Women aren't allowed to show emotion unless they show that they're happy and complacent.

White privilege at its finest. Storm the Capitol, get sent back home peacefully and having a SWAT team hold your hand while walking down the stairs.
