Added that last bit because I thought it was cute! Hope you don't mind :^)

✦ Amon: "Busy day, huh?" Smiles and casually tangles his fingers in the MC's hair, massaging their head until they fall asleep.

✦ Raeya: "Darling, I'm...working...Nevermind." Stops what she's doing and starts caressing the MC's shoulder, moving the hair away from their face, enjoying a quiet moment together. This is really special to her.

✦ Gael: "Oh, ah...am I comfortable? Maybe I should grab a pillow for your head, my love, or...perhaps move?" Doesn't quite know what to do with himself, where to put his hands... he'd be tense until he knows the MC is indeed comfortable because they fell asleep. Would probably burn the image of the MC like this in his mind to draw it later.

✦ Envy: "...I'm not a pillow, you know." They say so but if the MC tries to leave they will force them back into their lap. Intertwines his fingers with the MC's and keeps reading (because that's what he was doing most likely)

✦ Ara: "Aww, come here you...!" Peppers the MC's face with kisses and places a fluffy blanket on them to keep them warm. She's so giddy she's slightly kicking her feet. Falls asleep with the MC.

✦ Xal: "..............Hey." He has fantasized with this moment a bunch of times and he tries to play it cool, but he's a blushing mess who feels so damn lucky he could combust right about now. And the MC can obviously tell.

✦ Father Pride: "Hello, my love. Is everything alright?" He'd play with the MC's hair, and if they are not feeling sleepy, would seize the opportunity to ask them about their day and talk for a bit.

✦ Lázaro: "Well, hello." Smiles, kisses the MC's temple, tickles their cheeks with the tip of their nose. Resumes what they were doing.

✦ Cécile: "..." Moves his leg up and down to annoy the MC. If they don't leave, he'll allow them to stay. Occasionally glances down to see if the MC is asleep or not.

But first of all, we'd like to thank y'all for all the feedback in our Ara & Amon's reworks post. We are sorry for not replying to everyone, as we have to take into consideration a lot of feedback from a lot of places; but please know that we read you! We hope that was reflected in the final version of those sprites :^)

Now let's jump into it! Raquel has learned a lot from previous feedback, so this time around, our discord members and Kickstarter backers thought there wasn't a lot to correct—but the second iteration has already improved a lot for you Tumblr folks to see and judge!

Let's start with our dear Praefectus Raeya!

For Raeya, Raquel wanted to give her outfit a redesign, and change her silhouette. The rest has been mantained!

For the second round of feedback, our backers thought her nose and eyes weren't still on point, so Raquel spent more time with them. Now, the red circle inside Raeya's pupil has been brought back, and her nose and lips have been modified to better represent her features.

Also, some backers thought the gold / bronze were too distracting, specially on her boots, so that has been toned down!

For our fan favorite edgelord, Raquel improved the silhouette of their hair to make it more spiky, gave him a better posture / stance, and redesigned their clothes to make them more goth.

Our backers pointed out that his left hand and the index on his right one were a bit wonky, so Raquel fixed those. I think they look much better now! There wasn't a lot of fixes needed compared to Raeya, so that's good!

On another note, some folks liked his new hair, while others thought it was too spiky. Ultimately, we've let Raquel choose, so the spikes are staying!

✦ Lost in Limbo Devlog #14 | 12.02.24

And November is over! This month has been filled with paperwork, organizing receipts, and so on, which isn't very fun, but it's part of the job!

We are making great progress with everything overall; merch has been ordered and we have received proof and approved it; our voice actors are already delivering the voiced names y'all paid for during our Kickstarter campaign; and more! Let's see it in detail, shall we? :^)

Our dear Raquel has been working hard (I think I say this every devlog, but damn) on reworking the sprites for the extended demo now that the Special postcards for the Kickstarter are done! For this next batch, she'll be working on Ara and Amon, so here's a WIP of how Ara is looking so far! 💜

I think you can see how her design is already more detailed and cohesive in some areas. We'll most likely ask for feedback when Amon is ready too, to test the waters with both characters like we did with Gael and Xal :^)

The street is coming to life! This background is almost ready thanks to Astro. We'll have four new locations in the Extended Demo to help with the pacing and the introduction of our world and story to (hopefully) make it perfect. Or something close to it!

In the writing department, I've so far added 7000 words to the prologue. We have one flavor choice, two personality choices (and several personality reactions), and three "relationship choices". These basically shape your relationship with Evie in this case. For example, you'll be able to choose if you are intimate friends, are warm to each other, or if you prefer something less physical / touchy. And Evie will remember that!

And this is just so far. While River has a kind of "set" personality, I want people to be able to shape some aspects of their life.

In the writing department I should also include the documents I've provided to our VAs, and to our composer, Tomás. More on that below!

We have a proper help screen! Wohoo! 💜

Now you can enjoy Ren'py's default help screen but looking a bit nicer. This is for those who are not familiar with Ren'py's usual keybindings and stuff :^)

Nothing else on the programming side this month. I've focused on writing the script and that's going to be my main job until I can actually start programming something!

As I said before, our beloved voice actors are already working on the voiced names! In fact, Xal's VA (Francfil Pontañeles) and Pride's (Pat Langner) already recorded them! A little surprise is that we have been able to add our default MC's name, River, as a voiced name. For those of you who want to play with that name, you'll also enjoy some voiced lines!

What else—ah! We are already working with Tomás for our OST, and we have settled in 19 tracks total. Those are even more tracks than we expected! This is thanks to you all, and especially thanks to those of you who ordered more merch via Backerkit. You made those four extra tracks possible!

Our merch has been checked and so far only the pins are missing a preview and therefore our approval. We had to edit some files (beginner's mistake!) but being the first time we do this, I'd say things have been rather smoothly! We'd like to be able to start shipping this month, but it may not be possible. Which is a bummer! But well, we settled in December / January, so January it is, if nothing happens!

(Don't mind the colors being too flashy here—they will look more cohesive in game!)

OH, and the last extra bit! I've been working on the personality choices, as you all know, and Kayden has been helping me make the icons that will appear next to those choices for those who are colorblind. An extra thing to make them pop and differentiate them better! I think they are pretty self-explanatory, and if not, well—that means we have to give those icons a twist!

November has been a chaotic month for me due to the aftermath of the floods and my vacation week. The rest of the team has also had their good amount of irl stuff happening around them, but we've made it! The new year is approaching faster than I thought, as per usual, and I hope we can finish 2024 on a good note!

it's pretty easy to guess what cecile would think of mc romancing gael, but what does gael think of mc romancing cecile??

What does Gael think of a MC dating Cécile?

Oh he'd be the complete opposite. If the MC dating Gael would make Cécile want to absolutely obliterate the MC, Gael would be thrilled to see the MC and Cécile warming up to each other. He's the only person in Cécile's life so watching the MC learning to love Cécile and support him would make him so happy.

A different thing is if the MC wants to make him worse. Because some of you want to. You may have to fight The Mindbender to death :^)

This is kind of two questions, but it's surrounding the same sort of topic. So, first question, how would the LIs react to finding out that the MC being trans? For both ftm and mtf. Second question, how would the LIs make fun time [;)] a little more comfortable for the MC if they were feeling dysphoric?

I'm just wondering because I'm ftm and I love this game and I have a friend who's mtf who likes it too, do we were both kind of wondering.

All the LIs would act pretty natural about it! Transness (please forgive me if this is not the right term in English, I couldn't find a better one???) is common in Limbo and not something frowned upon or judged.

Ara is MTF / AMAB herself so she'd be very thrilled about it! She would love sharing her experience with the MC, and getting to know the MC's journey if they want to share. Envy has their own tale to tell in regards to gender and gender expression and feeling like a stranger in their own body, as well as Lázaro, so they'd be glad to talk about it too!

As for making an MC with dysphoria feel more comfortable, I think the first step all the LIs would take is talk about it with the MC. What makes it worse, what makes it better, what is a no-no, boundaries...Then they would take different approaches— Envy would rather talk about it in depth, Amon and Ara would shower the MC in kisses and affection to let them know just how perfect they are (if that makes the MC happy)...

All the LIs are pretty respectful people and have gone through their own pain. Maybe not all of them can relate or help as well as others, but that doesn't mean they won't be the MCs biggest support and be there to experience their journey by their side, and learn along the way :^)
