HorrorVale: Act M Progress Report #2

(Spoilers for "HorrorVale" below!)

April is gone, so that means it's time for the second ever Act M Progress Report!

Has it really been a month already?

First off, let's unveil the first ever Progress Bar for Act M!

This month was spent working on art primarily as we got started on the Twisted Woods, the first major area of Act M!

It's here where Mothman will have his first encounter with the Creepies (although unnamed at this point!)

We also got the art ready for a very important place in game!

This is the equivalent of "Layla's Lane" in HorrorVale. Here you can freely talk to all your Party Members and even buy some special food from Tamamo herself!

Although technically you won't even visit here until Chapter 2...

Finally, we completed the art for the BOSS of Chapter 1!

This foe might surprise you, but for many of those who used this character in battle in HorrorVale, it might be intimidating to come face to face with him!

Chapter 1 takes place before the story of HorrorVale, so don't expect this fella to be quite "himself" yet...

WALT DISNEY PRODUCTION WORKERS NEED YOUR HELP!

Hey fam! The Mouse is refusing to recognize the unionization efforts of its production workers. If you're not familiar with what PAs or PMs do, I'll outline it briefly. The tl;dr is that NO ANIMATION WOULD GET DONE WITHOUT PRODUCTION WORKERS. They are the glue holding together every single production of your very favorite cartoons!

They take notes in all the meetings with the artists.

They make sure the artists are meeting their deadlines (and showing up to the meetings in the first place).

They help us navigate studio servers to find the files we're looking for.

They send us our time cards, and make sure we get paid!

Production workers do all this and more, often for minimum wage. The hardships that they suffer as a result--the long hours, the unpaid overtime, the abuses of power--are horrific.

You'd really think that they'd be compensated fairly for these jobs! Can you imagine trying to live in Los Angeles or New York on minimum wage with a job that definitely won't allow you time to pick up a second or third one??

This has to stop, and you can help.

All that Walt Disney Animation Studio's production workers ask is that you add your name to this petition! That's it.

Hey, guys! I haven’t promoted in a while, but if you love what I do, both with IF and with my other works (e.g. my Youtube essays), it’d be awesome if you checked out my patreon! There’s a ton of cool incentives including concept art for IF and other projects, WIP music tracks and scratch tracks, scripts, story drafts, and updates on projects. Right now my goal is to reach $650/mo so that I have rent covered comfortably and can get more experimental with my video essays and take more time on them as well. That goal basically covers my rent, as right now I use a mixture of Youtube rev (Inconsistent) and patreon to cover that. Inverted Fate will always be free, so don’t worry. The patreon is for me as a creator, but if even just a fraction of my following pledged a dollar a month, I’d make that goal in a heartbeat.

High tiers can also request a monthly sketch if they want ($10) or a lineart of up two two characters if the designs aren’t too complex or a single if the design’s too detailed/complex ($15 tier). The lineart can also be subbed for a sprite.
