i saw the tv glow is the most tender and horrifying spoken word poem abt the trans experience ive ever seen and im being so normal abt it

no longing quite like the longing that hits when youre driving alone next to the carpool lane

i’m/he’s/she’s/we’re/they’re cooked = bad

something happens between the cooking and the serving methinks

yes i get emo abt the jinx and vi foil, but what i really wanna talk about is the jinx and jace foil. two brilliant minds that both figured out the power of the strange blue crystals and how to harness it, but separated by class (i.e. tools and access and power dynamics).

jinx being part of the lower class and being manipulated by its territory leader, OF COURSE she was going to build weapons and explosives and the things that are used to progress a rebellion. jace was a student, with access to sophisticated tools and mentors and eventually even a leadership position himself, OF COURSE he was going to make mechanisms to build and help further the expansion of a prosperous "higher society." i just. i love when characters are a product of their environment/social class.
