Help Mohammed Afford Treatment

Help Mohammed Survive

For over a year now, I've endured true horror - countless displacement with no shelter, illness and injury with no consistent healthcare, st

Current progress: $2,571/$15,000

I couldn't find any official vetting information, but this campaign is being promoted by pal_solidarity48 on ig. You can take a look at their work on their page.

Mohammed has been suffering from hepatitis and other severe health complications. He recently had to be treated for a seizure due to his deteriorating health.

The doctors have told Mohammed that he now needs 3 weekly treatments. He also needs IVs, oral medication, and vitamins. Food and winter supplies are also needed to keep him healthy so his body will have the strength to recover.

Edit: I reached out to pal_solidarity48 to see if there was any vetting info. Unfortunately, there's no organization or official vetter who has verified Mohammed's campaign, but pal_solidarity48 has seen his ID, medical records, and has been in touch with his relatives.

a message from pal_solidarity48 that reads as follows

He doesn’t unfortunately….but technically I have my own verified list in my linctree so if you wanna say “verified by @pal_solidarity48” maybe that means something to people? I have his gov ID, medical papers, video called, and I know many of his relatives

Have you lost a family member and felt the pain of regret and loss?! 😭

I hope you don't; for me this is our reality. Every day we lose someone we love 💔😔

Last year I lost my uncle and his entire family in a missile attack on his displacement site in Rafah, and Al Jazeera YouTube reported.

Today, I am in pain as I miss the dearest to my heart, my father, who suffered from a stroke that caused him quadriplegia. He could not cope with the catastrophic life as we lived in a tent that was like a grave. His weak body was exposed to malnutrition as a result of not providing the necessary food for his condition, and the severe cold caused him to have a heart attack that led to his immediate death.

I wake up terrified every night. I check on my family, whom I fear will die of cold 🥶😰

And it was not limited to this, but our tent that shelters my family, children, and my brother Samer, who suffers from a chronic illness, was flooded and swept away under the dirt as a result of the heavy rains. Our tent has become worn out and does not protect us from the winds and rain ⛈️⛺

I have been in the hospital for three days due to the fainting spells that I suffer from continuously due to the severe weakness in my blood as a result of the severe bleeding I suffered due to my injury in the bombing of our house and due to the difficult accident I was exposed to and because until this moment I have not been able to remove the iron fragments stuck in my body and the doctors told me that I must undergo surgery as soon as possible and to adhere to the medications that were prescribed to me but unfortunately I do not have the costs of my surgery and to buy the medications until this moment so I ask you to donate to me as much as you can so that I can undergo my surgery and buy the medications as soon as possible please the last donation I received was three days ago please do not ignore me and forget me in your donations!!!

In a corner of Gaza, my family and I are drowning in destruction, with the echoes of suffering surrounding us. I sat beside my modest tent, hastily erected after losing my home in the latest bombing. The faces of my family tell stories of patience and resilience, with lines of time etched upon them, as if they were records of unforgettable events. 🇵🇸⏳🍉

I once lived in a small home, filled with the laughter and voices of my children. Today, I have become a witness to the agony of displacement. The bombing forced me to flee with my children after a shell struck our home, leaving behind years of memories and simple belongings I never imagined would become unreachable. 🏚️💨

Every morning, I leave my tent and go to work, using a clay oven to provide food for my children. Meanwhile, my youngest son heads to the charity kitchens that offer aid, waiting for long hours under Gaza’s scorching sun. Despite the exhaustion that weighs down his frail body, he carries the food mixed with his tears and returns with a fake smile, hiding behind it the burdens of his struggles. 🍞🥀

At night, when everyone else is asleep, I remain seated at the entrance of my tent, gazing at the dark sky, reminiscing about days gone by… about my home that was once filled with warmth. Yet, I still find remnants of hope in my heart—a hope that one day peace will return, and my children and I will live in a new home, filled with joy. 🌙🏡✨

In moments of solitude, I find peace in prayer and supplication. I plead to God to protect Gaza and its people, to wipe away the dust of sorrow from our hearts. I always repeat🇵🇸🍉🌿

"We are here to remind the world that we are stronger than war, and we will rebuild our lives anew, no matter the cost!" 🙏

but seriously i think learning about nature is Hard for many people, especially adults, because you have to rationalize the symbiotic experience youre having next to the contemptuous and abusive way we treat the land. I think USAmericans fear nature as a way of making sense of the fact that we're waging war against nature, with our lawns and our suburbs and our landscaping and our cosmetic use of pesticides.

There was a post on facebook my mom was showing me where someone found a salamander and was asking what it was. thankfully half the comments were like "that's a SALAMANDER they are SPECIAL and a BLESSING and you must PROTECT it"

but the other half were things like..."I don't know, but I think it's time to move" "Burn the house down" "Kill it with fire" "I would scream if i saw that"

this is why i have such specific preferences in horror fiction that nothing seems to really hit: for me, horror is not about bad things happening, horror is about fear. So occasionally I find these really satisfying stories that are about fear of the unknown thing and the experience of fear, but the unknown thing being harmless is generally seen as a "twist" rather than a perfectly sensible and satisfying outcome.

on the face of it: why would you be afraid of a tiny creature weighing only grams, whose body is so delicate and frail? it's heartbreaking, but it's not unexplainable. What kind of a childhood makes someone an adult who is totally unprepared to comprehend the idea of something both unexpected and good?

a bizarre universe to try and place myself in, where a salamander is more likely to be...what? a mutated fetus of a brain-sucking alien? rather than one among the thousands of gentle creatures that you can marvel at, forever, for free.

It's the same way with bugs: people argue with the simple fact that nearly all insects cannot harm you, and I think it's because it's so difficult to reconcile with how liberally and carelessly we use insecticides with proven harms to humans and pets, and how we treat and speak about these creatures in general. If that weird bug almost certainly would not have harmed you, that means you killed a living thing because you didn't understand it, and that's a troubling thought.

The Rising Cost of Living in Gaza: A Struggle for Basic Necessities Amid War and Blockade

The Rising Cost Of Living In Gaza: A Struggle For Basic Necessities Amid War And Blockade

The escalating cost of living continues to place an unbearable burden on individuals and families in areas ravaged by conflict and embargoes. The image provided paints a stark picture of the harsh reality faced by communities—where even the most basic necessities come at exorbitant prices. Essential items such as cooking oil, sugar, and basic hygiene products are not only overpriced but often scarce due to the ongoing war and economic blockade.

For example, a modest bottle of sunflower oil is priced at an astounding $14.72, while a small packet of sugar costs $9.37. Potatoes and onions, once staple and affordable foods, now cost $8.03 each. Even basic hygiene products like soap and tahini are priced at $5.89 and $13.38, respectively. These prices, which continue to climb, highlight a dire economic situation that makes survival a daily struggle for countless individuals.

The root causes of this crisis lie in the devastating impact of war and prolonged blockades that have crippled local economies, destroyed infrastructure, and limited access to international markets. Local production is stifled, and imports are restricted, leading to inflation and a scarcity of goods. The situation is further exacerbated by unemployment and widespread poverty, leaving many unable to afford even the bare minimum required for sustenance.

In addition to food and hygiene, other sectors such as healthcare and clothing are also affected. Many families cannot afford proper medical treatment or seasonal clothing, leaving them vulnerable to illness and harsh weather conditions. The lack of access to affordable and quality resources perpetuates a cycle of poverty, malnutrition, and disease, particularly among children and the elderly.

The international community must recognize the severity of this humanitarian crisis and take action to alleviate the suffering. Lifting restrictions, providing financial aid, and ensuring the flow of essential goods are critical steps toward restoring dignity and hope to those affected. Until then, millions will continue to live under the shadow of deprivation, with the rising cost of living as an ever-present reminder of their plight.

I urge you to take a stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza. My family, like countless others, is struggling to survive these harsh conditions. You can help by donating to our campaign or simply sharing it with others to raise awareness. Together, we can bring hope and support to those in need.
