'Go to the Golden House,' the quest read.

It had just been another regular day for Childe. Wake up, do his morning chores, then do his regular, messily scheduled streaming.

And, as per usual, he had been streaming Genshin Impact, a well known game in the streaming community.

"The Golden House? Uh, okay then..."

He stole a glance at his chat, who were telling each other to shut up, while some only asked what would happen in confusion. Spoilers were probably deleted by his mods.

"Chat, you're scaring me, chat. What the hell is going to happen? No, no, don't tell me, I don't think I want to know yet."

Something in his head screamd at him, as a cutscene played. His chosen traveller looked around the Golden House before stepping closer to the Exurvia of the former Geo Archon.

And then, in stepped familiar h/c hair, their e/c eyes devoid of light despite the golden mora shining within the Golden House.

"Hey! The lil skrunkly!" He whispered, low enough to not desturb the cutscene.

They conversed for a bit, before the cutscene ended and a battle began.

"Surreder is a valid option, I promise I'll be gentle."

Childe swallowed his saliva, laughing quietly to himself.

"Oh I am going to have fun. Maybe."

The fight ended, and Childe was shaking in his seat. He had barely finished phase 3, getting disracted many times.

Another cutscene played, revealing a tired, worn out traveller. But Y/n was no better, not even on his level.

Standing across the traveller, now out of their Foul Legacy form, was same old Y/n, shaking in their place as scratches and bruises littered their skin.

"Hah, you've bested me. How... intriguing. You truely are...as strong as they say."

Childe, having a chill run up his spine, stared intelty at his screen, deathly quiet.

"La Signora has even praised you for your strength, even if she had not faught you herself, yet. Hah, to get a Harbinger's attention and praise... You sure are a special one, huh?"

Having none of their energy remaining, Y/n collapsed to the floor, on their knees. They could see the traveller hesitate to approach them, but they spoke before he could move.

"Well? What are you waiting for? I may have overused Foul Legacy, and it wont be too long."

They spared a glance at the traveller, and even in their weakest moment, a competetive and mischievous glint shone in their once dull eyes.

"Go on. Aren't you going to kill me?"

The traveller's breath hitched, before they chuckled once again.

"Haha, only joking... Unless you're up to it, of course. I'm not quite a fan of dying to Foul Legacy, but after a fight with the oh so great traveller? It was a fight worth dying for, I guess."

Coughing, blood trickled down their chin, and they wiped it off with the back of their hand.

"May I be able to hope to see you again? To have another battle? Perhaps in the far future, perhaps never again at all..."

Taking a step forward, the traveller ceased his motion as the Harbinger raised a hand.

"No need. Whatever healing you might try to do would not work. Foul Legacy takes my energy, decreasing my life span. Perhaps I wasn't meant to live long, perhaps my only purpose was to serve the Tsaritsa."

A chuckle, breathy and tired and solemn and...happy.

Happy to have someone to pass one last message for them.

"Before you leave," they spoke. "You'll probably be able to find one or two of the Harbingers here. One of them would be summoning a god banished to the depths below. You cannot stop them. Or maybe you can. But, before you leave."

They looked up, and despite the scratches and blood on their face, their half lidded eyes shined a thousand times brighter than all the mora in the Golden House.

"My siblings... My mother, my father... Everyone..."

They smiled, brighter than their eyes. It was soft and kind and solemn and genuine and sad.

A million words spoke through that smile. A million messages, a million apologies, a million grateful thank yous. Directed to their family, their parents, their siblings.

A million farewells. Directed to everyone.

Directed to the traveller. To Childe.

"Give them one last goodbye for me, will you? A hug, for everyone. A kiss on the cheek, for mum and dad."

A smile, solemn and bright. But never remorseful, never faux.

"Tell Teucer I'm sorry."

Falling to their side, they collapsed on the ground with a thud, and the Golden House was deathly quiet.

Childe stared at the screen. Eyes wide, mouth agape. If you looked close enough, you could see his shaking form as the cutscene ended.

Another quest popped up.

'Bid Y/n L/n a final goodbye.'

And he wailed in his seat.

Tears streamed down his cheeks, and he made it seem more dramatic to make people assume he wasn't really badly affected by their death.

"I— what— NO! My skrunkly! My little meow meow!"

He moved his character to stand in front of Y/n, an interact button popping up.

'Bid your farewells.'

He did so, seeing his character change to the traveller, who kneeled down beside Y/n. Paimon floated down to the ground, placing a hand on their head.

"...We promise you, Y/n. Your family will be alright."

Taking a flower, a Cecilia from Mondstadt, the traveller gingerly placed it atop their head.

"...We'll be going now, Y/n." He said, and stood up.

Childe had been quiet the whole time, and he could see his chat going wild on the corner of his eyes, all screaming 'NO' or 'o7' or anything alike.

"What the fuck!?" He exclaimed, not touching the game. Rolling his chair backwards a bit, he turned his head to chat, hands intertwined in front of his face, covering his mouth.

He wiped his teary eyes and wet cheeks, trying to find his voice.

"That was too early! I thought I could ignore the death flags until further!!" He exclaimed, staring directly at his face cam. Running a hand through his hair, he dramatically slouched on his chair, groaning loudly.

"Nooo! I would have protected them!"

Suddenly springing up from his seat, he wailed even louder.

"THEIR FAMILY!! THEY'RE GOING TO BE FUCKING DEVASTATED! And— and— their siblings! TEUCER!" He exclaimed.

"I'm sueing Mihoyo Hoyoverse what the fuck."

shounen ai mangas that should be a part of your reading list if you enjoy reading healthy and plot driven romances- part 1.

I've been reading bl for years now, the reason why i indulged myself into reading this particular genre was simply because shoujo as a genre is too repetitive, most tropes are overused and it's honestly really hard to find good stories once you've finished the easily accessible popular franchises.

boys love is divided into two sub genres, yaoi and shounen ai, I personally do not enjoy reading smut, it's a different story if intimacy plays an important point for the character development of the characters in the story, but i'am not a huge fan of the porn being used as the plot device for the entire manga and hence i won't be including yaoi mangas in this list.

1. Sayonara, Heron.

Sayonara, Heron is one of those mangas that remain ambiguous and non-linear for the majority of the time but gradually intensify itselves once the ending is near without losing it's delicacy, i won't be talking about the plot since i want you to experience this 7 chapter long manga the way i did, without knowing anything about it, but it's simply about family and relationships, the art style is so pretty, the rooftop, the cigarettes, the kisses, everything. I do not see enough people talking about it and maybe you should help me change that.

2. We're still in the spring of life.

Academics, Aerospace and Adorability, everything about this manga is so heart warming, the hesitation in the beginning of a friendship which ends with a comfortable yet passionate relationship, the naps, the math equations and the confessions, this manga is simply about two boys growing together by simultaneously relying on each other. Also the rocket metaphors have my heart, read it to find them out.

3. Our dining table.

I've always been a huge fan of child care as a separate genre on it's own, but this manga is one of the only romance mangas where the child care part of it actually plays a huge role for the development of the characters, it honestly isn't forced like some omegaverse stories rather it's comforting and actually heart warming to read, the food being used as a love language, the friendships and the bonding amidst the family and the main character is beautiful, give it a go if you want to experience legit therapy lol.

4. Blue sky complex.

Blue sky complex is one of the few shounen ai mangas which seems authentic and raw because of the awkwardness of the characters, the relationship between the characters is easily connectable in the sense that you get the insight of how their head actually works and makes those decisions, it explores gay relationships in a very interesting way, and honestly is very close to my heart because well it's the GLASSES GUY X GOOF BALL trope yet again.

5. Yuki no shita no qualia.

Now, this manga vaguely reminds me of sayonara, heron but honestly is a lot more strong with what it wants to explore, it's one of those mangas that will accidentally make you cry because of the beauty of it's characters and the development of their relationship.

"i think you make me kinder," is better than any "i love you".

The Soul of the Death. ( PART. 1 W/ DILUC)

A/N : i got inspired by one of those horror folklore my friend used to tell me. It was actually a tragic love story which lead me to feel some sort-of pity towards the characters. So here we go, an actuall angst with a spice of both comfort/hurt.

DILUC

When diluc saw you dying in his arms, all he could’ve think about is your smile. He wished you could stay longer, he wished he could apologize to you, he wish he could love you in the same amount as your love for him. He cries out for help to the people of the village whom saw the witness of your murderer and even saw the dead end of your life. but none of them respond to his plea, are they deaf?!, he hisses.

The knights of favonious have been sent to the accident after one of the elders of the village took pity on diluc. they arrive 40 minutes late. Now, all they could saw are just diluc dead eyes and your corpse in his lap.

you’ve been pronounced dead in his arms. He could only hear your last word as if it were the wind who guide you to your last breath.

But it was all up to the past he committed to, now he could’ve only see your tombstone and a hand-drawn picture of you as a remembrance of your passing. Though, he doesn’t know that now you’ve been reincarnated as a guardian for him. It was a blessing indeed, but how could you really protect him when he couldn’t even feel your presence now?

“Diluc..” you called. still, he doesn’t answer. you called him again for the tenth time. Purposingly trying to catch his attention, but no answer could be found from his mouth, as if you were just a wind whom ran through his delicate ears.

and in no time, a heavy sound could be hear next to you. shit, He fell unconscious.. you panicked. Thinking any other ways to make him awake, but really? Are you forgetting the fact he could see you if he’s unconscious?

And To his suprised, he manage to hold both of your cold hands which have ran through his soft messy hair for awhile now. As if you were still here with him.

“Love…is this you? Are you..really here..?” , his unsteady voice speaks a lot of his flowing emotions.

“Yes i’m here all the time diluc! you’re temperature is not so stable now, so please take a rest! I’ll be here to comfort you in your sleep, so please let—“

“ahaha, this is so like you, how am i dreaming of you even after everything..i missed you where have you been?” , he feel like he about to tear up anytime soon, he knew he shouldn’t have gone this far. How can a dream resembles everything about you, my dear?

He tries to hug you, and failed. his body temperature drowns him to his unconscious posture, now he could only sobs and wait for you to soothe his hair again while talking about his-now current reality with you being his none other than a guardian angel. He knew you would notice his tears, but who cares for now on? He just want to listen to your voice and feel your presence.

“I have been staying with you for awhile now…so, Diluc i’m here to comfort you even if you could no longer see me in your side.. the arrows in the accident still hurt me indeed but i do not wish for you to see me in pain after-all the love you gave me when i was still alive..”

“I have no regret on loving you..so please live well for me, i’ll stay by your side, call me if you need the wind to embrace you, alright?”

You gently soothes his hair, humming a lullaby every mother in monstadt usually sang to their children.

“oh god..you’re truly are a blessing my love”

He's totally different from his appearance. He seems cold and arrogant, but he's actually humble and loyal. Everyone who get to know him would describe him as easygoing and playful even.

Big eater. He and Camu had eating contest together. It was a tie.

He likes sweets. But due to his poor childhood life he will eat anything as long as it's edible. He hates wasting food. Spicy food is okay, but he prefers not to eat too much.

The white strands on his hair are because of genetics. He tried to dye it, but found it troublesome after and leave it be.

Can use any kind of firearms. His choice is a sniper rifle so he can observe the surroundings first before mission and support the team. His second choice is dual guns.

Has bad eyesight. During off-duty he'd wear his glasses. Asimov made some special contact lens for on-site mission so he can see clearly. But if he wears it too long, it can irritated his eyes and causing migraine.

Gray Raven gave him a glasses after Lee saw him crash the door multiple times. Lee tried to modify the glasses with multifunction feature (alarm, communicator, UV light, flashlight, x-ray vision, music player) but Jekyll reject the idea.

Likes to read book. Mainly fiction and classic literature. He and Chrome would always discuss the books they just read and exchange opinions whenever they met.

A gamer. Would sneak into Kamui's room to play with him. It always ended up with either Lee or Chrome scolding both of them.

Always prioritize others more than himself. He wouldn't hesitate to charge ahead if someone need help without thinking about his safety.

Has severe insomnia. The most hours he can sleep is about 3-4 hours a day.

Pamper his team A LOT; giving Lucia and Liv gifts, and walking around with Lee looking for materials for his new robot.

Somehow has a dark sense of humour. Only Camu would laugh at his jokes.

Even though he's kind to everyone, it was hard for him to trust someone. Only Gray Raven and Strike Hawk members he trusts fully.

Can cook basic meals. Really interested in culinary art. Whenever he visits Forsaken, he'd quietly observer Watanabe whenever he's cooking.

Always showing his smile. But only those who close enough to him can tell which one is fake and which one is genuine.
