INTRO POST !!! >X3

Yearly reminder to everyone trying to find alternatives to tumblr/social media in general: go make a Neocities account and teach yourself basic HTML and post your art/writing/shitposts there.

It does take extra time to set up (but there are templates out there!) but it is so so worth it to have a site that is 100% YOURS!

You don’t even have to be that good at coding. I’m not. My site is not very accessible via mobile devices but that is fine with me (keeps me off my phone) but there are plenty of ways to make your site mobile friendly. There are plenty of bare bones/accessible sites I adore purely for the media on it.

Imagine having your site on your phone and showing someone- hey! I coded this from scratch. And I didn’t even have to pay a company like squarespace. All your images, links, writings, in one place. I have my fandom edits, memes, fanart, and custom graphics there.

Neocities has a very bare bones follower and comment system, but you can disable this if you want your site to truly abstain from any social media-isms. I use it because its a great way to meet other webmasters and get help with coding problems. Neocities isn't an exact replacement for Tumblr (no reblogging here) but html coding is an invaluable skill to know, as is keeping a personal website in this day in age.

The awesome thing about having your own website is if, god forbid, Neocities goes down, you can move your site to any other number of hosting platforms (like Teacake.org). Your site is truly YOURS, and no one else (shitty tech CEO cough cough) can take it away from you.

I’m watching Splash (1984) which is a romcom about a guy who falls in love with a mermaid, and when she chooses a human name she chooses Madison and guy says “that’s not a real name, but alright” which seems to imply that Madison was not a name until at least the 80’s and all girls named Madison are actually named after the mermaid. thought you should know

1) personally, i like the idea of keefe being the more soft one out of the two. like, he’s all bold and big, but the SECOND sophie says ONE sweet thing to him, he just- unravels- he is blush soup. 2) just like- the idea of sophie being the more masc one. i’ve said on pinterest that she’d look killer in a tux with a corset, and she so would, and she’d probably love it too, little punk baby that she is. 3, going along with 2) keefe is fem. he paints his nails, ro teaches him to do eyeliner, sometimes he wears skirts. 4) ro also taught keefe to braid, so sometimes he and sophie will vibing, and he’ll just braid small strand of her hair, and vice versa (see: hiccup and astrid, how to train your dragon 2) 5) keefe bakes. sophie tries, but is really REALLY bad at it. she is, however, very adept at making pasta, which both she and keefe love. because who doesn’t love some good pasta. 6) they paint each others nails while listening to a wide variety of music, and gossip. 7) sophie asks councilor terik to take her to her house guts (what else is there to call it, honestly-) again, and she retrieves a dvd player, tv, and her whole dvd collection. she asks dex to make them solar powered, and he does, smort little bestie boi that he is. sokeefe movie nights and cuddle <3 (also whole group movie nights, but that doesn’t quite fit into this post xd) i have more but those can be for later :)

UGHHHHHHH /VVVPOS I LOVE THE OSC bfdi and ii are absolute BANGERS and honestly prolly the most well known and widely adored i'm also a big fan of two other popular ones -- it's time for the and animatic battle // object fool x3 besides that, i also rlly rlly like ohio by taxe, one by cheesyhfj, and others i can't member rn ,,, i love how meaningful object shows can be, while still maintaining that fun feeling associated with them i absolutely adored the ii finale, and i am SOOOOOOO HYPEDDDDDDD for the new ii content coming out x3 we're actually so hyperfixated that a bunch of our headmates are osc introjects KJHDSKJFJKSDNKJSNJKFSDNGK i love the algebraliens from bfdi // jacknjellify content sooooooooo much !!!!!!!!! like i hate math, but i am obsessed with those little number guys <3333 not- one tho ,,,, or the big evil one i cqan't ever remember the name of- BUT EVERYONE ELSE, I LOVE !!!!!!!!!!! i also am so gladdened by the neurodiverse and queer rep the osc brings, not to mention the possible system rep that one could associate with yin and yang from ii !!!!!! i lovelovelove the osc x3
