it literally takes zero effort to just ignore a ship that you don't like. as long as it's legal there's nothing wrong with people shipping characters that they want to ship.
if you hate it that much, don't interact with things involving that ship. it takes zero effort not to be a dick.
stop feeling like you need to announce you aren't a shipper of something when you're complicating an artist or writer. it's fucking rude and disheartening. keep that shit to yourself. you like the writing? you like it. you dont need to add how much you hate the ship or like a different ship better.
let people ship what they want (as long as it is legal)
queer books that didn’t disappoint me the way everything else has. please enjoy.

Moving in together
“fuck you” and one of them replying “fuck me yourself you coward”
They’ve only been traveling together a dozen years or so, barely any time at all, and Yusuf is still fairly confident that he hates this man beside him.
Andromache, when she finds them, insists that they are no longer enemies. That they are now as good as family. But she hasn’t known Nicolo as long as Yusuf. She couldn’t possibly understand how insufferable he is. How he carries himself all holier-than-thou, standing tall, chin raised, with his hand loosely draped over the hilt of his sword. How he speaks in clipped, measured sentences even when Yusuf attempts to engage with him in his native tongue. And how he stares, won’t stop staring even after Yusuf catches him.
Andromache leaves them, but only after making them each promise aloud, “I will not kill him.”
Shortly after she is gone, they are accosted by bandits on the road.
Yusuf stands at Nicolo’s back. He may hate this man but he has resolved that he will never abandon or betray him. Together, moving as if of one arm, one body, they cut down their enemies.
As they stand among the corpses, heaving from the strain of the fight, they glance at each other. A moment passes. Yusuf looks away, looks back. Nicolo continues to stare.
He hasn’t lowered his sword.
“Do you wish to fight me, Nicolo?”
“Do you?” Nicolo says.
Yusuf hasn’t lowered his scimitar, either. “You first.”

Stories are my favorite thing in the world, in any of their forms. And now that I have a finished novel in my hands, I can finally say what it's been like.
1 - If you can't write something, it's usually because you can't visualize it. Get up and act it if necessary, or daydream about it.
2- You'll need to set deadlines, and be able to respect them but also adjust them in order to do everything the best you can.
3- Your english is actually good! (English is my 3rd language and I learnt it online :) )
4- Organization is everything.
5- You'll have to pay attention to every big thing, and especially to every little thing.
6- Forgive imperfection, but require progress.
7- If the writing feels odd, it HAS to be rewritten. You're not mysterious, you're confusing.
8- Finding your voice will make everything faster to write and better to read.
9- Prepare printing paper, ink, and tissues.
10- Take your time and never rush a scene. If you need more time, make it.
“How could you do this?” The hero couldn’t hide their pain from showing in the broken words.
“I don’t know what you mean.” The villain’s own face was still, emotionless, their voice cold and lifeless.
“I trusted you. I trusted you and I believed in you and I believed that you could be better, but this—this is…” The hero broke off, brushing the angry tears from their eyes. “You are killing thousands—millions—of people, just to save one.”
“It’s not just one person,” the villain whispered, taking one slow, heavy step closer to the hero. Their trembling fingers, the flash of pain in their eyes, was the only sign that they were feeling anything at all. “It’s you—it’s always been you.”
They stepped closer, took the hero’s hand in theirs, sending shivers down the hero’s spine that froze them in place, unable to move or think or breathe.
“It’s you, and I would burn this world to the ground to keep you safe.”
