(Image description: six images with colorful gradient background and white circles in the center, inside the circles is colorful text that reads 1) "Trans girls belong on girls sports teams", 2) "Trans women belong on womens sports teams", 3) "Trans boys belong on boys sports teams", 4) "Trans men belong on mens sports teams", 5) "Make your teams inclusive of nonbinary athletes", 6) "Promote gender inclusive sports teams and activities".)

Inspired by recent bills introduced to ban trans youth from participating in the school sports and activities that align with their gender identity.

Any terf or transmed bullshit or discourse in the notes of this post will get you blocked immediately.

Hey so I’m hyped that Trump’s gone and all but let’s just remember that things don’t magically get better from here on out - we have to keep working for them.

Keep supporting blm.

Keep protecting trans kids.

Keep welcoming immigrants.

Keep defending marriage equality.

Keep believing women.

Keep working to make our society more fair, just, and accepting of all.

“Why are you always so political?”

Well Karen, I would love to be less political, but apparently to you basic human rights are a matter of “politics” so yeah I tend to bring that up a lot.

An Adult Teacher (whose Job It Is To Protect The Children They Preside Over) Flippantly Dismissed The

An adult teacher (whose job it is to protect the children they preside over) flippantly dismissed the fact that the child in their care had been beaten up in the boys’ bathroom.

The power structure of transphobia ensured that this honor child would be so affected by a shattered self esteem, and fearing for her safety, that her grades–and therefore whole future–was going down the toilet. (And no one fucking cared about her needs)

And of course, trans people of color will be hit hardest.

We have to do better as a society.  Protect trans kids.

I just want to take the time to Thank Tumblr for pinning STOP ASIAN HATE with BLM because the world needs to see it and understand what’s going on. Our elders within the Asian communities and to the men and women in the African-American community don’t deserve this and we all need to rally against this. Because hate gets us no where.

Edit: I would like to add something to this post because some fellow Tumblr users have made some remarks I don’t completely agree with. BLM and STOP ASIAN HATE can AND WILL COEXIST. I am a minority mixed with both of these ethnicities and I didn’t make this post to “guilt trip” Tumblr or anyone else who sees this. I’m just glad that Tumblr, one of the main social media platforms is making an effort to show support to my communities. I may not look like the stereotypical Asian and I may not act like a stereotype of an African American but gosh darn it I’m going to voice my support to these communities... my communities.

I'm really fucking angry & have been sitting with this for a few days.

Why is nobody talking about the fact that 215 children's bodies were discovered in Canada, all killed in Kamloops Indian Residential School?

the last Residential School was closed in the fucking 80s, but I've heard fellow native people say it's 1996.

closed in the 1980s-90s.

that wasn't long ago.

I'm crying as I write this and my blood is boiling, nobody is fucking talking about these poor babies who were ripped from their families and MURDERED!!!

nobody outside of Canada fucking talks about this. I'm so sick of it. There's so much violence towards native people, and nobody gives a shit.

They're ripping through our land as I speak, and our Prime Minister is at the center of it!

his statement towards the discovery of these children is to call this a "shameful chapter of our country's history" BUT HEY, JUSTIN??? the chapter ain't fucking done, you sick monster!!

there are 40 year olds who are still alive, who were survivors of the residential schools!!!

I'm so disgusted. I'm so done. I'm so, so disappointed in this awful country.

Parents to their kids: You can do anything you want if you work hard enough! You can change the world for the better!

The kids when they get older: Protest police brutality and racism, fight for LGBTQIA+ rights, try to save the planet

The Parents: Wait, no, not like that.

The curriculum in America purposely leaves this shit out. Everyone’s history is left out that isn’t male and white. Systematically the truth has always been left out...purposely.

We all have to learn this stuff on own, including Black American history, Native American history, and Hispanic American history.

white people need to understand that all your posts about standing with us, and supporting us (us being poc as a collective) and whatever literally means fuck all if you don't do anything.

are you ignoring posts about racism because the language is too aggressive? [see: the use of 'you' as opposed to 'we] are you only interacting with posts about racism written by white people? are you making these loud proclamations on your blogs (and tagging every damn shit in sight, which just looks performative as fuck and clogs up our tag; i don't CARE what you have to say as a white person, i literally don't!) just ease your own conscience and so you can appear woke?

i can't tell you the amount of times i've scrolled past long ass essays on this app of white people now realizing their place on the racial hierarchy. in 2021. after how many information is out there, and how much theory and papers have been fucking handed to y'all. (this is about grown ass adults btw. there are 15 year olds on here who are more educated in these topics than y'all are, that shit's embarassing).

i can't tell you how i annoyed i've gotten because it's the fucking equivalent to a white person crying in front of me because they realized that the world is racist.

whoop de fucking doo, welcome to the real world. i don't really care if i sound rude because it's annoying and it does nothing for those of us of color on this site. it doesn't help us in anyway. and the worst is when y'all come onto OUR posts and post your white tears there. what the hell is that supposed to accomplish? what the fuck is the purpose? how does that help us in any way?

and it kinda really pisses me off that those posts crying about realising that racism exists will get thousands of notes and that posts talking about actual racism, and how it works - especially in online spaces - written by actual people of colour, get a fraction of them with the added touch of harassment by the same white ppl btw, because we managed to hurt your little feelings.

I'm getting really tired of the fact that LGBTQ+ people, people of color, and disabled and neurodivergent people have to keep justifying their demands for basic equality and rights.

I think what a lot of white people genuinely do not understand is that all kinds of racism is bad. There isn't a ladder marked with "acceptable" and "unacceptable" racism.

- The person purposefully joking about your native name even after you've explained its spelling and pronunciation to them and begged them to use it correctly? Racist

- The person who is "okay with" racial minorities existing but doesn't want to see that portrayed on tv / doesn't feel like representation is necessary? Racist

-And I know. I know how hard it is when you are in a privileged position and you're being asked to care about things you don't know much about. But after someone has pointed it out to you, you better try to change.

- "but these mindsets don't hurt anyone" news flash, they do. Just because someone isn't throwing tear gas at protesters doesn't mean their bigotry isn't harmful!

- Put yourself in our shoes for a moment. How would you feel if someone told you they don't want to see anyone like you in the media they consume? That your identity is too complicated for them and they want to water it down to make it easier?

- Again, this is not targeted towards anybody or a callout post. I'm just asking you to take a very hard look at these little things because they GROW. No one comes out the womb being a white supremacist. These things start small and keep adding up.

- This is just a word vomit because I was Angry and you are absolutely not required to rb this or anything! Have a nice day.
