YOU know what fuck it, Im posting this here too cause it’s mothers day and my mom is my hero.

Whether you think this is too personal for Tumblr is your own opinion, I want to explain something near and dear to my heart. My mom is my hero, however I look at it; that’s the truth. She is inspiring to me, she never stops fighting just to do what she loves, the second picture on this post is of 1 year ago vs this year; a year ago the day of The Boston Marathon she had been incapacitated by knee injury which required her to have a bone graph done to fix it. She was unable to run for months and when she finally got back to marathon training she was struggling tremendously. 

It took months to get back to where she could even run 10 miles, but given time and determination she was able to hit the race she loves the most once again. she finished in a time of 3 hours 23 minutes and 1 second, averaging a pace time of 7min per mile for 26.2 miles. She PR’d and BQ’d once again and made me so proud.

It’s Mothers Day now, so i wanted to draw her Boston picture. The picture shows just how absolutely victorious she felt taking on that race despite the horrendous conditions this year. I felt it needed a redraw. I Aspire to be like my mom, she’s been the best parent, and the best friend i could ever ask for.
