Iris: [knocking on the door] Ash? Asher: It’s open!
Iris: Ezra’s here. Are you coming down? Asher: I don’t know. He’s here to meet mom, dad, and Spencer. You don’t really need me there. Iris: Yes, I do. You’re my brother, and I want you to get to know him. Asher: I know enough already.
Iris: That’s bullshit. You only know what Atlas has told you. They were teenagers; you can’t judge him based on that. Asher: Why not? People don’t really change that much. Iris: Please stop being difficult. At least give him a chance and develop your own opinion.
Asher: [sighs] Fine. One chance. Iris: Thank you! Hurry down, dinner’s almost ready.
…
Asher: I told Iris I’d have dinner with them tonight. Are you sure you won’t come down with me? Atlas: I’m sure. I’m gonna focus on work tonight. Asher: Are you hungry? I can bring a plate up for you. Atlas: No thanks. Asher: Okay, well, if you change your mind, feel free to come down. Atlas: ...
Atlas: Hey Ash. Asher: Yeah?
Atlas: Don’t talk to him about me. Asher: I won’t. I’ll just sit in the corner and glare at him while he tries to impress me. Atlas: [chuckles] Thanks. Asher: Love you. Atlas: Love you too.
…
Ezra: Are you sure you don’t want to join? We can pull up another chair. Asher: Absolutely not. She’s banned from getting within ten feet of a puzzle. Iris: You’re so dramatic. I don’t even like puzzles. Asher: Exactly. The only joy she gets from them is to steal two or three pieces and watch us get frustrated searching for them.
Iris: What? I get bored. Ezra: Is that why you told me to put this in my pocket? Spencer: Hey! Give that back! Iris: [laughs] I did not tell him to do that! Asher: Y'know what? You two deserve each other.
Spencer: Can you bring Milo next time you come over? Ezra: Sure. If no one minds? Megan: Not at all. We’re all dog people in this house.
Asher: What kind of dog is he? Ezra: He’s an Airedale. Asher: Very cool. Those are great dogs, super smart. Ezra: Too smart [laughs] and so much energy. He’ll play fetch for hours.
Asher: Tell me about it. I used to have a border collie. Have you worked with training him much? Ezra: I’ve tried, but I don’t really know what I’m doing. He’s actually my first dog. Asher: I can help you. When you bring him over, I’ll show you a few tricks. Ezra: Yeah, that’d be great.
Spencer: ATLAS!! Atlas: Hey bear.
Spencer: We’re almost done with my new puzzle, do you wanna see? Atlas: Not right now. I’m just grabbing some food and then getting back to work. Spencer: [disappointed] Awh.
Atlas: Leave it out so I can see tomorrow. And I can help you frame it and put it up on your wall if you want. Spencer: Okay. Guess what! Atlas: What? Spencer: I’ve been making a list of ‘S’ names! It’s getting really long. I didn’t know there were so many. Ezra knows lotsa good ‘S’ names too!
Atlas: Does he now? Spencer: Yep! Wanna see? Atlas: We’ll go through them tomorrow. But look, it’s important to give people credit for their ideas, so do me a favor and make sure you put Ezra’s name next to each of his suggestions. Spencer: I will!
Asher: Don’t forget your plate. Atlas: Changed my mind. I’m not hungry.
Asher: [under his breath] shit.
This tag is all about looking at your past. All you need to do is to find one of the first screenshots you ever took (preferably also published), and post it beside the recent one! And tell everybody when you took that first picture! Oh, and don’t forget to tag your posts! #sweet beginnings tag
I was tagged by @applesaucesims and @yellowsocialbunny.
Okay, so this isn't one of my first screenshots. Most of the old ones have either been deleted, or I no longer have the Sims in my save. But I did make this "Holidays Across the Decades" lookbook almost two years ago, and since then a few more pieces of CC have been created or updated.
1810s: Caroline's gloves and shoes by @peebsplays. (Keep a look out for an update to the dress).
1900s: Nellie's dress by myself.
2020s: Diwali outfit by myself. (This was originally not associated with any character, but I put it on the 2023 Girl of the Year, Kavi).
By including Nellie and Kavi, I was at a number that didn't divide evenly. To make the rows even I added Nicki in something similar to her NYE outfit.
Not going to tag anyone in particular, but please play along if you'd like!
Watching videos of the new pack, and every time a wild Crispin Black appears I have a mighty need to drive cross-country for the sole purpose of reclaiming my PS2 and firing up my scratched-to-hell copy of Urbz
Wishing all undiagnosed/partially diagnosed people a very doctors listening to you and providing you with more testing than a blood draw and even possibly providing treatment 2024
Oh look, Gunther is an avid Salim Benali reader - good thing there's merch of his bestseller.

Two nights ago I turned on my game and decided to see what Geoffrey would authentically lead me to in Strangerville. Originally my plan was to have him gather evidence, complete a dossier, and get inside a lab where he may or may not have been consumed by the mother plant, but I didn't want to do heavy storytelling. I decided to just play and get some ideas because sometimes that spikes up my creativity more especially since I just wanted this to largely be gameplay.
When I first switched to Geoffrey he was on the verge of death in San Myshuno. Lowkey took this as foreshadowing, but I got him dressed and sent him on his way.
I decide to go to Strangerville's library to have him ask civilians about their awareness of the town. However Geoffrey...was watching a sexual act between Katrina Caliente and Marcus Flex.
I won't tolerate this behavior, so I send Geoffrey outdoors to find more upstanding people. An infected sim is walking around, so I have Geoffrey speak to him.
'Consume the fruit of the mother and know peace.'
Now, despite being lead detective we can all agree that Geoffrey is not the smartest guy around, right? Which had the gears in my head turning, like: "is my Geoffrey going to be willing to examine the fruit, and take a bite of it?" After a few moments I decided yes. Yes he is.
I'm begging, hands, knees, please, tangerine, come on back to me.
